According to the sermon, spiritual power flows when believers understand and apply God's Word. #### 4. Faith Requires Speaking God's Word Using passages such as Mark 11:23-24, Herb taught that: • Believers should speak God's promises with faith. • Words have spiritual significance. • Speaking in agreement with God releases faith and spiritual power. He encouraged the congregation to replace negative declarations with scriptural truths. #### 5. Forgiveness and Love Keep God's Power Flowing Herb emphasized that: • Strife, bitterness, and unforgiveness obstruct spiritual growth. • Love and forgiveness are essential elements of faith. • Believers should forgive as Christ forgave and avoid dwelling on past failures. #### 6. Identity in Christ Another major point was that Christians are: • Children of God. • Sealed by the Holy Spirit. • Righteous through Christ. • Protected and empowered to live victoriously. He repeatedly encouraged listeners not to define themselves by past mistakes, but by their relationship with God. ### Practical Takeaways Herb Encouraged • Reject negative and fearful thoughts immediately. • Study Scripture consistently and seek understanding. • Speak God's promises rather than circumstances. • Walk in forgiveness and love. • Believe that God's power is already working within you. • Focus on God's purposes rather than past failures. ### Sermon's Main Conclusion Herb's core conclusion was that believers already possess God's power through Christ, but must actively cooperate with that power by knowing God's Word, resisting negative thoughts, exercising faith, speaking God's promises, and living in love. On the election beat, Graham Platner, who won Maine's Democratic Senate primary a few weeks ago despite a Nazi tattoo is now facing a heavily corroborated sexual assault allegation so severe that nearly every major backer including Hasan Piker and Ro Khanna immediately called for him to drop out — Democrats have until July 27th to find a replacement if he exits by July 13th, which they should probably get moving on since Maine is a must-win Senate seat. In other news, Trump is headed to the NATO summit in Turkey this week, which he only agreed to attend because it's hosted by Erdogan, one of his last real NATO allies, with Netanyahu already lobbying him ahead of arrival to rein in Erdogan's anti-Israel rhetoric. Trump also rang the stock market opening bell from the Oval Office to celebrate the launch of Trump Savings Accounts, which devolved into rants about crypto, Biden, and World Cup red cards, and the preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson — the man accused of killing Charlie Kirk last September — began yesterday in Utah, with Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk's parents, Donald Trump Jr., and Jack Posobiec all in the courtroom. Meanwhile, the DOJ accidentally sent the sealed second volume of Jack Smith's classified documents report — the one Trump has spent over a year keeping hidden — to the defense lawyers of the former prosecutor currently being prosecuted for leaking that exact report, and the only reason it's still secret is because her lawyers were more careful with it than the government was. For months, Anna Kepner's family waited in silence while the legal system processed her death behind sealed juvenile proceedings and closed courtroom doors. Then a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging her sixteen-year-old stepbrother as an adult with first-degree murder and an additional serious federal charge. The case was unsealed. His name became public. And the family that was already shattered fractured further. This look back traces that legal arc and what it means for everything that comes next.Anna was eighteen, a cheerleader from Titusville with plans to join the Navy. She was found dead aboard the Carnival Horizon in a shared cabin on November 7, 2025 — her body concealed under a bed, cause of death mechanical asphyxiation. The defendant was initially charged as a juvenile in February. By April, a grand jury had indicted him as an adult. He has pleaded not guilty and, despite prosecution arguments for detention, remains free on GPS monitoring with a relative.Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis examines how a case moves from juvenile to adult federal court, what that transition means for the defendant's exposure, and what the family dynamic tells you about the trial ahead. Competing custody filings between the defendant's parents have surfaced abuse allegations against the father. The victim's own father — married to the defendant's mother — is publicly calling for justice. The reported evidence includes security footage showing the defendant as the only person entering and exiting the cabin, and sounds reportedly heard by Anna's younger sibling. Prosecutors say she and Hudson were alone in their shared cabin for roughly three hours before he was seen leaving. The transcript also confirmed a second juvenile male had an encounter with Anna aboard the ship — the FBI tested his DNA and excluded him. The defense is already signaling they'll use this at trial.But the judge's words from the bench cut against the prosecution's confidence. He said he would not call the government's case strong. He used the phrase "a much closer call" with "various defenses." The DNA odds pointing at Hudson are 120 sextillion to one. An FBI agent admitted on the record he is unaware of any DNA directly connecting Hudson to what killed Anna. [Part One of Two] As Houston, Texas accused murderer Lee Gilley awaits word on his fate after fleeing to Milan, Italy, investigative journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell are on the case. Will Italy grant him asylum, or treat him as a criminal to be extradited back to the United States? New details have emerged about Lee's plan to escape his Houston trial for allegedly killing his wife, Christa Bauer Gilley, and their unborn child in October 2024. Lee's brother, Matt Gilley, testified that he didn't help Lee flee on May 1, but said Lee looked different at their mother's deathbed in April — heavier, bearded, with long hair. Matt's Zoom testimony came in an emergency custody hearing for Lee and Christa's two young children. Christa's family fears Lee's relatives will take the kids to Europe, yet a Harris County judge ordered the children returned to Texas. Meanwhile, two of Lee's attorneys move to withdraw and we dig into the 1983 US–Italy Extradition Treaty while Lee's Italian attorney Monica Grosso says that Lee is exhausted from all his recent travels.
