Life in the Peloton is proudly brought to you by MAAP It's been a long season, but we're here, we've made it, it's the final pod of 2025! I'm joined by EF sports director, Tom Southam, and Jayco Alula pro cyclist - and Aussie national road champion - Luke Durbridge, for one last Race Communique to wrap up the podcasting year. I wanted to kick off by running through the season we've just witnessed. There's so much racing going on from January at the Tour Down Under right the way through to Lombardia just last week, it's easy to forget just how great the racing has been. Durbo, Southam, and I discuss our favourite wins of the year - some quite obvious ones and some that you might have forgotten about. Then, we go through some quick-fire awards: best kit, worst kit, most overhyped rider, biggest loss to the peloton, and more! Of course, we've got our regular PeloChat - where Durbo rounds up all the retiring riders this year - and Talking Tactics - where old mate Southam gives us the final scores on the doors for this year's relegation battle, which was thrilling right down to the final day of racing. What does WorldTour promotion mean for UnoX? We'll have to wait and see… But, for the season finale, I wanted to give the CommuniQuiz WorldTour status for this episode and let my guests…I mean co-hosts…take a segment each. This is a bumper quiz that's peppered throughout the episode, so listen closely and play along at home. Guys, the monthly Communiques have been a real highlight of the year for me. Catching up with Southam and Durbo, having a yarn about the racing, and - of course - some great banter has been great fun, and I hope you can hear how much we love recording these episodes. Thanks to Tom Southam and Luke Durbridge for joining me every month for these episodes. Their insight and expertise makes the Communique, and I can't wait to have them back after the off-season to kick off 2026. Guys, it's been a hell of a year. Thanks for listening to the Race Communique and all the other podcasts we put out here at Life In The Peloton. Put your feet up tans crack a few frothier this winter, and I'll speak to you next season. The Race Communiqué is brought to you by TrainingPeaks! Track, plan, and train smarter - just like the pros. Get 20% off TrainingPeaks Premium now at trainingpeaks.com/litp I'll be heading to Adelaide this January for the Santos Tour Down Under - chasing the racing, riding the bunches in the morning, and soaking up all the summer vibes the city has to offer. Hope to see you there.

AssetCool are the ninth overall winner of the global accelerator programme that supports the brightest innovators who are working to transform the energy market. The high-quality pipeline of innovation, new technologies and learnings that were on display throughout this year's programme will help advance clean energy initiatives around the world. It is an outstanding achievement considering the quality of the other finalists and the fact there were 877 applicants at the beginning. The Grand Finale event hosted by ESB in Dublin has been a great way to end this year's competition. We would like to thank all of the start-ups we have shared this experience with and are now looking forward to continuing to work closely with partner utilities to bring our ideas to life that we hope will help power a more sustainable world." Downton Abbey-filmen, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale och Netflix stjärnspäckade mordmysteriefilm The Thursday Murder Club. Jonas ger sina intryck de första avsnitten av tv-serien Färjan, baserad på Mats Strandbergs roman, på SVT. I slutet blir det spoilerfest av Jason Momoas Chief of War som både Jonas och Niklas har sett. Tack & Förlåt! Puss Hej!

In this, the finale of the second season, we take an initial trip to Västerbotten, for a relaxing selection of recordings from the coastline in July. I wanted to share some particularly nice audio with listeners in this finale. Along the coastline of Northern Sweden is where I enjoy field recording the most and I thought this would be an apt way to begin the final episode of this second season..The main sound magazine documents an incredible overnight trip to Sandemar Reserve. I knew when I was putting this sound magaizine together, that it contained some rather special audio. The night in question was quite magical and has remained fresh in my memory, ever since. This was simply a case of saving the best until last and I hope you enjoy this audio experience...The Grand Finale; See you all in 2026 for Season 3!Leave a comment here....Support the showSubscibe to Wild Bird Acoustics here;https://wildbirdacoustics.buzzsprout.comLots more audio related material here at my long running website;https://blogbirder.blogspot.com/

We're here to provide a little distraction -- and a positive online community during these weird times -- with the latest episode of our Breakfast All Day podcast. Our first movie isn't exactly escapist fun, though: "The Long Walk," which is one of the better Stephen King adaptations. It's beautifully written and acted but also harrowing to watch, especially now. This may not be the best week to see people getting shot in the head, but this movie is really good otherwise. In theaters. Next up, it's "Spinal Tap II: The End Continues," the painfully unfunny sequel to the 1984 comedy classic "This Is Spinal Tap." It would be impossible to match the brilliance of a movie that invented an entire genre, but this one really doesn't. Rob Reiner, Michael McKean, Christopher Guest and Harry Shearer are all back, along with some major celebrity cameos. In theaters. If you're looking for elegant pleasures, we have "Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale." Everyone's lives are in flux in 1930s England, but they look great doing it. And despite their financial woes, they find time to get gussied up for the horse races at Ascot. This tidies up all the stories in satisfying fashion. In theaters. Finally, a lengthy Movie News LIVE!: Early reactions to "One Battle After Another," Emmy Awards on Sunday, "Big Little Lies" season 3 and much more. We tried to keep the politics to a minimum but dipped into some entertainment-adjacent items toward the end. Join us every Friday at Noon Pacific. Thanks for all you do for our community! Subscribe to Christy's Saturday Matinee newsletter: https://christylemire.beehiiv.com/ Come hang out with us before a showing of "One Battle After Another"! We'll be at CinemaWest Beach Cities before the 6pm show on Friday, Sept. 26. Meet us in the lobby bar at 530pm before seeing the movie on their giant screen. Did Jesus forget to mention a secret rapture? Discussion Questions: Read 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17. Paul describes one dramatic, public return of Christ with a shout, trumpet, and the resurrection of believers. Why do you think Paul emphasizes these visible signs instead of describing a secret return? Read John 5:28–29. Jesus says both “those who did good” and “those who did evil” will come out of the tombs at the same hour. How does this challenge the idea of two separate resurrections or two separate comings of Christ? Read 2 Thessalonians 1:6–10. Why does Paul connect Christ's return with both judgment on the wicked and relief for the suffering church? How does this strengthen our hope in times of hardship? Read Matthew 24:27–31. Why do you think Jesus compares His return to lightning flashing across the sky? What does this tell us about how obvious and undeniable His coming will be? For nearly 1,800 years, Christians believed in one visible return of Christ and one final judgment. Only in the 1800s did the idea of a “secret rapture” appear. Is it helpful to you to know that particular history? Why or why not? Read Hebrews 9:28. The writer says Christ will appear a second time “to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.” Why is Christ's return essential to completing God's plan of salvation? If Christ is returning once, visibly, and finally to judge and renew all things, how might this shape the way think? What perspectives might change if we live in the hope of His coming?
