In Matthew 10:11–23, Jesus sends His disciples on a mission specifically to Israel. This mission comes after the religious leaders rejected Him, and the Kingdom's offer was being postponed. At this stage, the mission does not include the Gentiles. Instead, it focuses on the "lost sheep of the house of Israel." The purpose of this mission was to identify, gather, strengthen, and prepare the believing Jewish remnant who recognized Jesus as Messiah. Jesus tells the disciples to continue proclaiming that "the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand," but the nature of the Kingdom program begins to shift. With Israel's national rejection, Jesus begins introducing what Scripture later calls the Mystery Kingdom—the present spiritual phase of the Kingdom, while the physical Messianic Kingdom is delayed. This mission comes before the Great Commission and reflects the biblical pattern of evangelism: "to the Jew first and also to the Gentile." But the mission to Israel does not end with the disciples. In this passage, Jesus gives prophecies that clearly extend far beyond their lifetime, including persecution before councils, testimony before governors and kings, family betrayal, and global hatred toward His followers. Most importantly, Jesus makes a remarkable statement: "You will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes." This shows that the mission to Israel continues through to the Second Coming. Matthew 10 connects directly with the themes later expanded in the Olivet Discourse. The proclamation of the Kingdom continues among the Jewish people until Messiah returns. This passage also exposes the fatal flaw in Replacement Theology. If God were finished with Isr

In this teaching, Dr. Edith Davis explores the necessity of mental and spiritual alignment as the Body of Christ prepares for the Second Coming. She emphasizes that the "beautification" of the bride—the Church—is primarily a process of renewing the mind to match the character and power of Jesus. -- To have a sound mind, one must maintain a "cool, calm, and collected" disposition, modeled by Jesus even in the midst of life's storms. -- A disciplined mind requires spiritual guardrails; any thought not in alignment with the Word of God must be ejected and replaced with Scripture. -- Moving "In Christ" means recognizing that when God gives a command, He provides the supernatural "super" to your "natural" to ensure the task is completed. -- Understanding the hierarchy of spiritual power: Words are higher than thoughts, and actions are the ultimate expression of our choices and integrity. -- Distinguishing between facts and Truth; while medical or financial facts are real in the physical domain, the Truth of God's Word has the power to override and change those facts. A theological system that interprets the Bible by dividing history into distinct periods called "dispensations," each characterized by a unique way God interacts with humanity. Dispensationalism emphasizes a literal interpretation of scripture, particularly Old Testament prophecies about Israel, and distinguishes between God's plan for Israel and his plan for the Church. It also typically includes a premillennial eschatology, meaning a belief in a literal thousand-year reign of Christ on Earth following his second coming, and a Great Tribulation and Rapture of Christians before the expected Second Coming of their Messiah, Jesus. 5 Minutes in Church History podcast at https://amzn.to/3BoedCq Open Book podcast with Stephen Nichols at https://amzn.to/42eiQJL Stephen J. This week is part two with Liz Cameron, author of Cult Bride and survivor of Korean religious group Jesus Morning Star, also known as JMS. Last week she discussed the slow process of indoctrination into the group, and this week Liz shares how she learned the community's deepest secret: the mysterious Pastor Joshua was actually named Jung Myung-seok, but he was REALLY the Second Coming of Jesus. And yes, he was currently sitting in prison in South Korea for committing sexual assault… but don’t worry, that was just because of persecution.Liz explains how all the carefully planned indoctrination leading up until this point primed her to be able to accept something like this, how she’d been identified to be one of the brides of the leader, what happened when she traveled to Korea to meet him in person, and how the eating disorder re-triggered by the group landed her in the hospital—but ultimately helped her get out of the group. This episode features an in‑depth conversation with filmmaker and author Kenneth Johnson, one of the most influential creative voices in science fiction television. Johnson's work reshaped how genre stories could explore human nature, social conflict, and moral complexity. From redefining Marvel's The Incredible Hulk for television to creating the landmark alien‑invasion saga V, his career has consistently blended spectacle with emotional and philosophical depth. In this interview, we also focus on his return to the world of V through his novel V: The Second Coming—a continuation of his original vision that expands the mythology, deepens the characters, and reflects on the themes that made V a cultural touchstone.
Pastor starts today's class by taking a look at Matthew 24:37-39a "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away." This text is part of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount of Olives and He is talking about His second coming. Jesus compares what it will be like at the end of time, to what happened at the time of Noah's flood. Noah and his sons built the boat over a long period of time and people could see he was building a huge boat, but they continued doing their regular life things and the flood took them all away. They had not listened to Noah's preaching and warnings. It will be like that at the end when Jesus returns. In 2 Peter 3:3-10 Peter shares another comparison of what the Second Coming of Christ will be like. There will be a time when God keeps His word once again. There's been a warning that there will be an end - the Second Coming of Christ and it will take place. We are called to be alert, listen and respond and not to ignore that He is returning. We are to be ready and waiting. Matthew 24 continues with verses 39b-42 "That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. 'Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.'" Pastor zeroes in on the words "one will be taken the other left." The question is taken to where? Believer opinions are: ⁃ Taken for judgement ⁃ Taken to be with Christ Pastor refers back to a recent teaching entitled "What Happens When I Die?" That teaching can be viewed here https://www.youtube.com/live/5L41Ufkiq2w?si=xxcv4CNj2FC-y7XD Part of that teaching is on 1 Thessalonians 4:13- 5:6. These verses are Paul's description of the Second Coming of Christ. Paul makes it clear that when Jesus returns the dead believers will be raised first and those still alive will be caught up with them. Pastor takes a deeper look at the original Greek text of the word Jesus uses for our translated word "taken." For the "taken" Jesus uses here, the word is paralambanō which means to be taken to one's side, to receive to one's self. It is a positive and affectionate word. It's the picture of the Bridegroom taking His bride (His people) to Himself. In our day it is like Noah's day and Jesus' day where people are just going on like normal and ignoring God or not paying attention to Him or His Word. But Jesus speaks a word of warning to those not listening and a word of encouragement to believers. In verse 42 He says, "Therefore keep watch!" The greek text for "keep watch" is the word grēgoreō and it means to keep awake! And to be ready for Christ's return! In closing, Pastor shares a saying he once heard: "Live as though Christ died yesterday, arose this morning and is coming again tomorrow!" Now What? In this Bible study, Fr. Matthias Shehad continues exploring the harmony of the Gospels with a focus on Christ's second coming as foretold in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. He examines Jesus' teachings concerning the signs of the end times, the importance of vigilance, and the spiritual meaning behind Jesus' statement that only the Father knows the day and hour of His return. Fr. Matthias also explains the parables of the ten virgins and the talents, emphasizing readiness, faithful stewardship, and the personal responsibility each believer has in preparing for the Kingdom of God. He discusses the significance of spiritual wisdom, the role of trials in strengthening faith, and how God judges us based on our use of the gifts He has entrusted to us. The study encourages a faithful, watchful, and active Christian life in anticipation of Christ's return.
Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), joins Barry Stevens to discuss the alarming wave of complaints from U.S. military personnel. Over 200 service members from 50 installations have reported that commanders in their chain of command are framing the war in Iran as part of God's divine plan to bring about the Battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming. Weinstein describes how Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth holds monthly Christian Nationalist prayer services in the Pentagon's largest auditorium during the duty day, and how this top-down signaling is emboldening commanders to push religious ideology on their subordinates. Weinstein also confirms that some of the Christian Nationalists within the military are in positions involving nuclear weapons.

Pastor opens with a prayer for God to build unity among believers especially in the areas where we have differing opinions, that we would show grace to one another and humility before God. Pastor begins with the "rapture" passage in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, "After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will be with the Lord forever." "Will be caught up." This caught up is the rapture. "Will be caught up" is one word in Greek: harpazō (Latin was used to translate the Greek work and in Latin the word is rapiemur from which we get "rapture") Let's check out 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16 where Paul answers the question about Christian believers who have died, "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. According to the Lord's word we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God and the dead in Christ will rise first." These are encouraging words for believers, giving them the assurance of Jesus' Second Coming and the assurance of the resurrection of the dead, the gathering of the living and all going with Jesus in the air and of being with Him forever. If we take Paul's powerful words of summary of the Second Coming in these verses - it seems to be saying that the rapture occurs when Jesus returns, when the dead are raised and when we are all caught up in the air with Him. Paul goes on to say in verse 18: "Therefore encourage one another with these words." In 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 we read that Christ comes at a time no one knows, and He comes not only to bring His people to Himself, but to bring judgement. Verses 4-6 goes on to tell us that we belong to the Light and not to the darkness and Paul calls us to understanding that Jesus can come anytime and that we should be ready and looking forward to His return. Common questions: What is all this talk about the Rapture - its referring to believers who have died in Christ and those who are alive when He returns and the risen dead and the alive will be united with Christ Will there be a rapture - Yes!!! Where is the rapture found in the Bible - In 1 Thessalonians 4 When will the rapture take place - at the Second Coming of Christ Will Christians go through the Tribulation - The word for tribulation is the Greek word thlipsis. It is used 45 time in the New Testament. (Suffering, persecution, tribulation) Pastor takes us on an exploration of the ways thlipsis is used in the New Testament by looking at: John 16:33 Matthew 24:21-22 Romans 5:3 1 Thessalonians 3:7 2 Thessalonians 1:4 Revelation 7:14 We see in these verses that tribulation is a reality, we read of the tribulation of others, of Jesus saying that in this world we will have tribulation, that there will be tribulation, and we read about glorying in our tribulations. Pastor shares the tribulation of the apostles, disciples, and early believers, and that throughout the centuries there has been tribulation of Christian people and in our day the tribulation that is attacking many believers around the world (kidnapped, raped, captured, hunted down, killed, ridiculed, put down, in fear of losing jobs, etc). Tribulation is real, it's a reality. the Bible doesn't say we will escape it, instead it says we will be persecuted. Our hope is not based on being taken out of tribulation, our hope is on the second coming of Christ. And the assurance that we will be raised on the last day and will live with Him forever. Believers have differing opinions - Pastor encourages us with what the Bible says: to maintain the peace of the Holy Spirit. To search the scripture to not get caught up in details that cause controversy to focus on the mission of bringing others to Christ Jesus is the only message of reconciliation and eternal life. That is our focus, labor, prayer and service. Bottom line …. The entire New Testament points to the Second Coming of Christ and urges us to live in such a way as to be always ready for His return. Pastor's closing prayer speaks of thanks to God for the Scriptures, while in them we don't find everything we want to know, the Scriptures do provide ALL that we need to know. Now What? John Bevere joins Kap Chatfield to unpack the Second Coming of Jesus, the Parable of the Ten Virgins, and what true spiritual readiness looks like. A bold, biblical conversation on holiness, repentance, and preparing as the Bride of Christ.
In verses 16-18 of chapter 4, the apostle writes of what is often referred to as the “rapture.” He doesn't set dates for Jesus' return, but he gives assurance that all believers, whether deceased or alive at that time, “will always be with the Lord.”
Part 10. Can Believers Lose Their inheritance? David Pawson regards the book of Revelation as “probably the most important book in the New Testament for the Church to be studying right now for the very practical purpose for which it was written”, namely, to be “a manual for martyrdom”. Jesus provides encouragement to Christians facing persecution, exhorting them to endure and overcome. The book has present and future relevance for believers, and while it is addressed to the believers in the first-century AD, Jesus' words and the prophecies (some yet to be fulfilled) speak just as powerfully to Christians and the Church today. The many competing interpretations have caused confusion, particularly in relation to prophetic symbolism and the timings and nature of future events. If there are “as many riddles as there are words” here, then David demystifies and solves the book's riddle by explaining the more controversial, widely debated, and variously interpreted middle chapters, while also advocating reading Revelation in the plainest sense where possible. Jesus, in his compassion, has warned believers to prepare for his Second Coming. They are to remain faithful by upholding morals, resisting corruption, and identifying and opposing deception (false teaching), and, if necessary, enduring persecution. David unpacks Revelation's symbolism while addressing divisive subjects. Regarding the (Secret) Rapture, he argues that the book prepares believers to live through the Big Trouble (Tribulation), and adopts a pre-millennial position. Jesus promises to return to avenge the blood of the martyrs, while warning that backsliding believers will lose their place in the Book of Life and the New Jerusalem. Yet faithful overcomers will receive their inheritance. God is in control and Christians must ready themselves for Christ's return. Revelation's message is not just that “Jesus wins” but that he wants every believer to win” with him.
God is following a plan. This truth is revealed in the numerous prophecies recorded in the Scriptures. Most have already been fulfilled, but there are still many waiting for the day of their fulfillment, particularly those dealing with the Second Coming of Christ.
In this sermon inspired by his book, In The King Is Coming, John Bevere discusses why the Second Coming is both relevant and critical for the Christian faith. Other than salvation, it's the second most discussed topic both in the New Testament and by early church fathers in the first three centuries.

He explains how cherry picked, poorly sourced, or context free quotes can create anxiety, drive clicks, and worst of all, set people up for spiritual whiplash when predictions fail.
In this short teaching, we examine 2 Thessalonians 2:8 to show why the man of lawlessness (Antichrist) must be future. Paul says Jesus will destroy the lawless one at His parousia (Second Coming)—meaning the Antichrist is active on earth when Christ returns. The post Preterism Problem – AD 70, the Parousia, and the Man of Lawlessness appeared first on Bible Prophecy Answers with Alan Kurschner.
Our text this Sunday, Mark 13 (and the parallel texts in Matthew 24 and Luke 21), is among some of the most difficult to understand in the Bible. Jesus appears to mix predictions of things that would occur during the lifetime of the disciples with things that would only occur at the very end of human history. Although we won't have time to unravel all of the exegetical complexities of Mark 13 this week, we should be able to know and understand enough to stay awake, to be ready for our Lord's Second Coming, and to live lives of faithful expectation.
In the latter half of verse 3:13, Paul notes his anticipation of the Lord's return. This coming reality shapes his thinking and his vision for ministry. It should shape ours as well
In this podcast episode, we examine five key reasons for Jesus Christ's return to earth: The Bible emphasizes this promise repeatedly, with more than 1,800 references and 21 direct mentions from Jesus Himself. He will return as King to judge the nations, make all things right, and establish His righteous rule. He will come to Israel to deliver and restore her, setting up His Messianic Kingdom. Scripture also promises a new heaven and a new earth, where the curse will be removed and God's purposes fully realized. His return will be visible to the entire world—He first came as a sacrificial Lamb, but He will come again in glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Though some question the delay, the Bible reminds us that God's judgment is certain, and as we study Scripture and observe the signs, it is clear that His coming is near.
