Join Dan and Joseph in a review of The Republic of Pirates by Colin Woodard. This title is one of the more well known and recent publications on the early 18th century pirates. It attempts to cut through some of the romance and legends and examine the Nassau pirates as they were, their backgrounds, influence on international politics, successes and failures and their ultimate place in history.
Joined by Firelock Games' own Mike Tunez, Dan, Garrett and Joseph get a full update on the goings on at Firelock Games, including updates on Blood & Plunder, Port Royal and Oak & Iron.After getting the exclusive scoop, we have a great conversation on tactics in Blood & Plunder. Swarm lists (many cheap models) have been strong for a long time in Blood & Plunder, but Elite lists (fewer, high cost models) have been placing high at tournaments as well. Fighting against these extremes on the Force Building spectrum can be challenging! With Mike's great insight, we got over some of the strengths and weaknesses of the lists, giving tips and tricks for how to play them and how to counter them.
