CA3 have created this podcast for the HR talent community. Each month, in the time it takes for us to have a cup of tea and a biscuit, you can listen to us chat with industry experts on the most challenging topics facing HR and Talent professionals today.
Empathy. What does this mean to you? Is it something that comes naturally? Can it be learned? During this episode, I chat with Jodi Brandstetter about the role that empathy plays in the entire candidate lifecycle, and its importance in creating the best possible employee experience. Jodi has 20 years' experience in HR and recruiting, and her bestselling book, Hire by Design, is used by HR professionals to help them implement design thinking into their hiring strategies. I really enjoyed this chat with Jodi, not least because it covered one of my favourite topics of onboarding, and how we can use design thinking and empathy to create a really engaging onboarding experience. If you would like to discover more about this topic, then you can get in touch with me directly or follow CA3 on LinkedIn. You can also contact Jodi here. Thanks for listening!
During this episode we focus on HR tech, and were lucky enough to invite Matt Alder, producer and host of the hugely successful Recruiting Future podcast (and also a recent winner of a Silver Davey Award for Podcast Excellence in the US), on to the show. We chat all things HR tech - including current trends, how to select the best HR tech for your business, and what the future looks like. If you are fascinated about the world of HR technology and looking to keep on top of the latest trends, (not to mention AI, virtual reality, chatbots, and automation), or if you're just looking to improve your tech stack, this episode is for you.
With workplaces facing more change than ever before, an increasing number of organisations are looking to recruit resilient individuals who can overcome challenges and deal well with setbacks, and who thrive in high pressure situations. He's just joined Omni RMS as Head of Assessment, helping organisations change the way they resource for the better, and is passionate about improving assessment processes. Henna is a successful Executive Coach in the US with a decade and a half's experience in recruitment, who speaks passionately about sales messaging. She's recently developed a training course that helps recruiting professionals improve how they do outreach to candidates. In this episode I wanted to focus on how we speak with candidates, and how, by changing the way we approach people, and communicate our messages and employer brand, we can successfully recruit the right people. You can find Henna on LinkedIn if you'd like to find out more, and follow CA3 here if you haven't already! *Henna's in the US so it was early and a strong coffee rather than tea was needed...

In this episode we wanted to explore the recruitment industry as a whole. Has it really changed at all in the last 20 years? Or are the same old issues there bubbling below the surface? What have we actually learnt over the last 20 years? It's a broad topic, but in order to plan a recruitment strategy coming out of the pandemic, we need to understand and learn from the past. This month we are lucky to have Simon Drake with us, who has over 25 years of experience leading businesses and operations in recruitment, HR services and consulting. He's a business advisor, guru and mentor to the consulting and recruitment sectors. During this podcast we at CA3 get his unique perspective on how our industry has changed.
Your employer purpose and values can be spot on, but unless you are communicating using the right channels and in the right way, this message can be lost. This month we are lucky to have Simon Crowe with us, who is a Brand Consultant at Crunch Simply Digital. We chat about everything from hyperlocal and programmatic to TikTok, and everything in between. In this episode, watch out for a great case study on Expedia in Japan, and the usual stumbling over words from our host, Sarah Wardle.
Our industry is in a state of flux. And many of you are navigating the uncomfortable world of offboarding colleagues on a grand scale. Therefore, in our third episode, we wanted to focus on offboarding, and some of the challenges that employers are facing right now whilst having to make huge changes within their organisations. In our third episode, we've been joined by Ruth Miller, a Talent Acquisition, Training & Outplacement Consultant, who has huge experience in the Talent and HR space.
Our second episode focuses on the role of employer content marketing and its importance in onboarding your new starters.
