Sustainability is on all of our minds right now. Whether it's arguments about bin collections, fast fashion waste, or what the hell AI is doing to the planet, it's everywhere. And let's be honest, sustainability has also become big business. If people care about it in their daily lives, they're definitely thinking about it when they make decisions about who to buy from and work with.Which is all well and good if you're a product-based business with compostable packaging and tree-planting perks, but what if you don't make anything tangible? How do you show that sustainability matters to you when your business is mostly digital? That's exactly why I wanted to chat to today's guest, Teresa Ferreira.Teresa is a Creative and Brand Consultant and the founder of Farrgood Studio. She helps businesses build timeless brands™ and impactful designs – ones that don't just look great, but also align with the things you care about. With 16 years of experience across media, health, luxury, and fashion (and a stint as Head of Design at the Financial Times, no less), she blends strategy and creativity in a way that's seriously impressive. Her studio partners with businesses that are all about positive change, whether through social impact, sustainability, or purpose-led missions—and she's worked with the likes of Adobe, Somerset House, BBC, and Allbright. In this episode, we dive into what digital sustainability actually means, how your website might be leaving a bigger carbon footprint than you think, and how small design choices, like your images or hosting, can make a difference. We talk about using your brand and storytelling to carry sustainability through everything you do, not just your marketing blurb. There's a load in here that might surprise you, and plenty of ideas you can actually apply – whether you're deep in the eco-space already, or just starting to think about how your business fits into the bigger picture. So grab a coffee, get comfy, and listen to Teresa get on her soapbox.Teresa's Links:Book a call – Ferrgood StudioFollow Teresa on InstagramSubscribe to Ferrgood Studio on SubstackTech Hub Enterprise Nation X Google + Sage webinar: Branding, storytelling, and tools for growth Looking for more? Branding is NOT just your logo, colors, or typography. It is perception. It is how people see you, interpret you, and experience you.In this masterclass episode, creative strategist and brand expert Evante Daniels, CSO & Founder of Seeqer, breaks down his biggest branding pet peeves, why marginal market differentiation is the key to success, and how trying to be too different can actually hurt your brand. If your brand stands out more than 5% from the standard, you risk losing connection with your audience. Think of it like seasoning—too much, and no one wants to eat it.We dive into brand standards, color theory, market framing, positioning, and consumer psychology to help you build a brand that resonates while infusing culture to influence brand perception to expand community and loyalty. You do not need to reinvent everything. You need to find your lane. Your brand should reflect who you are becoming, not just where you are today. It is not about faking it until you make it. It is about positioning yourself with passion, potential, and power. This is Part 1 of a must-listen branding conversation.Beyond The Episode Gems:Follow Evante Daniels On LinkedIn For Creative & Brand Insights, Strategy, Content, & MemesInterested In Working With Evante and Seeqer? I'm not sure exactly where me and Oisin met, but we definitely had a drink to hand!Born in New Jersey, he moved to Ireland when he was just 10, so he's lived there for far longer than I have - in fact he moved there more or less precisely as I left - and has done far more cool stuff there than I ever did, from running great Dublin bars and music venues, to writing an award-winning cocktail book, to promoting Irish spirits (especially whiskey) around the world as a consultant and ambassador and, latterly, within Ireland itself (the locals are a TOUGH sell - why do you think I emigrated?!) with a series of festivals, events and education. We had a grand chat over a beer or whiskey or three*, and got onto some interesting topics, like growing up in Sopranos territory, the history of Irish whiskey marketing, how the housing and inflation crisis in Ireland affects hospitality, being a dad, and a bunch more. It was great craic, enjoy - and happy New Year!*Four. Well, five really. Megan Prejzner's passion for helping individuals and businesses reach their full potential stems from her own personal journey of self-discovery and entrepreneurship. She believes everyone has a unique purpose and path in life, and she strives to empower others to discover and embrace their authentic selves. As the founder and CEO of Hackett Brand Consulting, Megan has honed her skills in brand strategy and marketing, working with a diverse range of clients from Fortune 50 companies to independent thought leaders. Her award-winning agency is known for its innovative approach to branding and marketing, which emphasizes authenticity and human connection. In addition to her work with Hackett Brand Consulting, Megan also founded Local, a marketing agency that specializes in helping small businesses succeed. She is committed to using her expertise to support and uplift entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.Megan initially focused on working with publicly traded companies but soon found herself drawn to the local business community in Denver, Colorado. Recognizing that the agency model didn't work for small businesses, Megan shifted her approach to a grassroots marketing strategy that leverages her experience working with large brands to help local businesses break through to the next level of growth. She finds great satisfaction in seeing small businesses thrive and considers them the bread and butter of the economy. She highlights the freedom and creativity that comes with collaborating with local brands and small businesses, where ideas can be executed quickly without having to go through the checks and balances that are common in big brands. Megan is especially impressed with the rise of local businesses on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels, where they can capitalize on trends and go viral without getting held up by the bureaucracy of big brands. She sees this as a tremendous opportunity for small businesses to get noticed and make an impact in their local communities.Megan understands the struggles of business owners who are overwhelmed with marketing tactics. Starting with a strategy that is tailored to the business's specific goals, audience, and needs is crucial. While jumping into every marketing channel available may be tempting, Megan advises against this approach, as it can lead to overanalysis paralysis and poor results. Instead, she suggests starting with one channel and becoming proficient at it before adding more channels to the mix. By doing this, businesses can ensure that they focus on the most effective marketing tactics and drive their goals forward. She emphasizes the importance of strategy in marketing and choosing the right tactics to achieve business goals. Suggesting focusing on one channel, building upon it rather than trying to be all things to all people and advises against over-analyzing data and instead recommends starting with a strategic mindset. Honing in on the right channels and building efficiency in their marketing efforts. Businesses should add and grow as they get the nuts and bolts figured out, not stay stuck on the one tactic they started with. Focusing on building and expanding their strategies and using them as a foundation to build upon. By adopting this approach, businesses can climb the marketing mountain, maximize their return on investment and set themselves up for success.Megan has experience working with both small and big businesses in developing their marketing strategies. One of her favorite local business clients is a wedding dress shop, where they worked together to create a social media plan that focused on a handful of channels to drive people back to their shop. After five years, the business has expanded its online presence and is killing it on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. Whether it's a small or big business, Megan understands the importance of starting with one key needle mover and

Professionally, she is a lawyer. She graduated Law school in Pavia (North of Italy) in 2013. Three years later, she attended Law school at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid. In 2016 she officially became a lawyer and started to work as a legal consultant in the winery. But she soon realized that her true vocation was to pass on her family's passion, history and tradition. So, she decided to set aside civil and penal codes and devote herself entirely to the family business. She is today part of Donne del Vino (Women of Wine) an association that brings together women from all over the world, producers, sommeliers, journalists and restaurateurs united by their passion for wine. The wine industry has always been men-oriented and only nowadays it is opening more and more to women: women's influence changed the business. Women globalized the market, redefined the trading relations and represent the fundamentals of this business. She is also involved in the Board of Directors of Assovini Sicilia, an association of Sicilian winemakers that brings together over 91 wine companies to promote the quality of Sicilian wine around the world. What links the members is love and passion for Sicily and an awareness that the Sicilian wine territories represent unique value in the Italian, European and international wine markets. Today Giovanna leads the family winery, the Caruso & Minini, together with her sister Rosanna and her husband Andrea representing the fourth generation. The three of them certainly have a focus on sustainability, both environmental -with reference to the use of clean energy during the winemaking processes - and social, having started a collaboration a few months ago with an ONLUS Laboratorio Zanzara (https://laboratoriozanzara.it) which has been in charge of the restyling of all labels and winery The three of them certainly have a focus on image.
