Submission for the 2019 NPR Student Podcast Challenge Students investigate if 9/11 is an event in history that all students should learn about. Interviews are conducted with teachers, one of which includes a teacher who was a student at the time 9/11 took place in our middle school. Submission to the 2019 NPR Student Podcast Challenge Students have controversial discussions about Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the national anthem. Perspectives from key public figures such as Kaepernick himself, President Trump and others are shared through a mock debate to kick off the podcast. Students learn about the history of the national anthem from one of our teachers and discuss protesting for a cause you believe in with one of our guidance counselors.
