A day after the first and only televised debate, UW-La Crosse professor emeritus, Dr. Joe Heim, joined to give his thoughts on the Wisconsin governor's race. Most of the focus was on the race in general, though all five Democratic candidates debated the night before. Heim talks about Francesca Hong running as a Democratic Socialist and Tom Tiffany being a far-right candidate and how that might play out in a purple state, where a lot of elections are decided by just a few percentage points. We also discussed the saga over Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez dropping out, David Crowley getting back in the race and Gov. Tony Evers endorsing him — over his Mandela Barnes, his old lieutenant governor. Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures! The bad luck just keeps on going for George Russell as his woes continue to favor Kimi Antonelli in the championship with a very level headed performance that gave him a 3rd place finish in Hungary. Neither Mercedes driver was a match for the pace of the McLarens ultimately in the end as Lando and Oscar were leading out in front as 1-2 for majority of the race until Oscar's gearbox gave out leading to a retirement from the race. Lando finished 1st and became the 5th different winner this year! Max Verstappen completed the podium with a hard fought 2nd place in a car that definitely was not 2nd fastest. Aston Martin had a promising weekend as they saw some of the benefits of the upgrades brought to the car. With this improvement and Honda's expected updates coming onboard for Zandvoort, I don't think its too far fetched to say they might have good opportunities to get some points potentially in the second half of the season.IndyCar unveiled its new IR28 this week which will be 100 lbs lighter than the current car that includes a lighter gearbox and chassis. It is expected to output 760-800hp from the 2.4L V6 turbo engines which include a hybrid system that appears to play a larger role than what it currently does.. Heim wins the Brickyard 400 in Cup.Coming up this weekend: IMSA is Road America, SuperGT is at Fuji, and Supercars are in Perth.
This week the boys back in studio and YouTube to go a little off track, discuss some NASCAR and Hollywood news, and breakdown the 3 uneventful races from IRP and Indianapolis MotorSpeedway!
Heim won while getting the last laugh in the feud with Carson Hocevar.
„Wer nicht hören will, muss fühlen."
Another week, another Cup Series winner. That must mean Corey Heim is in studio today for an episode of Door Bumper Clear, where he earned his second victory in just fifteen starts – the first to do so since AJ Foyt. Corey breaks down his win along with the clip that everyone is talking about – the middle finger from Carson Hocevar. What's Corey's reaction, and does it faze the man who walked away with the trophy? Freddie, Tommy and Karsyn also weigh in on if Cup races are too long, the Clash returning to Daytona, and the Crown Jewel debate. Plus, Reaction Theatre brings some Hocevar and Heim fans out to share their honest thoughts via voicemail. Want more DBC? Check out and subscribe to the new DBC YouTube channel!

There's a hurricane in the Arby's studio. That's right – Carson Hocevar AKA ‘The Hurricane' dropped by today to fill in for Dale Jr as our host for DJD – and this episode was unforgettable. Right out of the gate, Dale Facetimed Carson, thinking that taping had just ended, but in fact, it was just getting started. Carson filled everyone in on his relationship with spotter Tyler Green, how the two navigated Naval Base Coronado, and the winning celebration that every fan would've been talking about had Carson pulled off the victory. In typical Hocevar fashion, Carson gave his takes on Reddick's sportsmanship while racing Heim for the win, his own run-in with Corey Heim, Noah Gragson's heated discussion with Kevin Magnussen, and so much more from the race weekend in San Diego. Cleetus McFarland also calls into the show to talk for a quick minute, right before Carson gets back to more of his opinions on all things NASCAR. Plus, a Kay Adams update. This morning on the show, the hosts are feeling the World Cup fever, but one of them is feeling a little off - literally. A mishap on the dock has left Billy with a potentially punctured vocal cord, and he's not sure if he'll be able to make it through the rest of the show without some serious medical attention. The hosts dive into the latest World Cup news, discussing the exciting match between Norway and Iraq, and the electric atmosphere at the Foxborough stadium. They also talk about the upcoming match between Scotland and Morocco, and the impressive turnout of Scottish fans in Boston. But amidst all the soccer talk, Billy's voice is a major concern - he's experiencing some strange sensations in his throat and is worried that he might be bleeding internally. The conversation takes a turn when the hosts discuss the latest celebrity news, including Taylor Swift's rumored wedding plans and the possibility of a massive stage being built at Madison Square Garden. They also touch on the topic of the Heim sisters, who are rumored to be touring with Taylor Swift, but seem to be getting a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons. If you're feeling like you're missing out on the World Cup excitement, or if you're just curious about the latest celebrity gossip, tune in to this episode to hear the hosts' lively discussion and find out what's really going on.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What happens when a Swiss-born business man who become a bus driver living in the Canadian Rockies decides it's never too late to follow a dream? In this inspiring episode of Most Memorable Journeys, I speak with Marcel Heim, a man whose life journey proves that reinvention has no age limit.Born in Switzerland and now living in Cochrane, Alberta, Marcel spent much of his professional life working in export, technology, project leadership, and business development before making the life-changing decision to move to Canada with his wife Irene. What followed was a journey filled with uncertainty, perseverance, culture shock, and ultimately the creation of a new life in one of the most beautiful places on earth.Today, Marcel still drives a public transit bus through the spectacular Bow Valley between Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise, where he quietly observes the people who board his bus every day. Their stories, struggles, humour, and humanity became the inspiration for something entirely unexpected. At the age of 66, Marcel is releasing his debut country/Americana album, The Water Never Asked My Name, a collection of twelve songs inspired by real people, real roads, and the quiet moments most of us never notice. Using AI-assisted music production, Marcel transformed years of observations, memories, lyrics, and melodies into a finished album, proving that technology can become a powerful creative tool when guided by authentic human experience. In this conversation we discuss:• Growing up in Switzerland and his early life journey• Meeting the love of his life, Irene• The bold decision to leave Switzerland for Canada• The challenges of immigration and starting over from scratch• Life in the Canadian Rockies• Why he became a bus driver after a successful professional career• The fascinating people who inspired his songs• How artificial intelligence helped him achieve a lifelong dream• Why creativity, curiosity, and reinvention do not have an expiry date• The stories behind songs such as Swiss Boy in the Rockies, Five Minutes and a Heater, and The Water Never Asked My NameThis episode is a beautiful reminder that dreams don't retire when we do. Sometimes they are simply waiting for the right moment to emerge. As Marcel says through his music, the most meaningful stories are often found in ordinary people living ordinary lives.Listen now and discover how one man turned a lifetime of observations into music, proving that it is never too late to create something extraordinary.About Marcel HeimMarcel Heim was born in Switzerland and now lives in Cochrane, Alberta, with his wife Irene.
