Im Podcast erzählt euch Lukas, warum das so ist.Der Sänger von The Fray heißt Isaac Slade. Er hat den Hit „How to Save a Life“ geschrieben, nachdem er als Mentor in einem Camp für drogenabhängige und straffällige Jugendliche gearbeitet hatte. Der Song handelt von einem jungen Mann, dem Slade trotz all seiner Bemühungen nicht helfen konnte. Slade begriff: Es gibt kein Handbuch dafür, wie man ein Leben rettet. Pflege im Heim wird für viele Pflegebedürftige und ihre Familien immer teurer: Die Eigenanteile in stationären Einrichtungen steigen weiter. Wie stark Bayern betroffen ist, welche Kosten Pflegeheime besonders belasten und ob die geplante Pflegereform der Bundesregierung Entlastung bringen kann.

Nicht alle Tiere, die im Heim landen, wurden dort abgegeben oder sind entlaufen. Manche werden auch gezielt von ihren Besitzern ausgesetzt. Das passiert zur Ferienzeit wie aktuell in den Sommerferien häufiger als sonst - aber nicht nur da. In dieser Folge sprechen Lukas und Christiane darüber, dass es zunächst einmal strafbar ist, sein Tier einfach irgendwo zurück zu lassen. Dann geht es um Gründe, die es zwar geben kann, die aber keine Entschuldigung sein dürfen. Denn letztlich gibt es immer eine Lösung - bei der auch das Tierheim eine Rolle spielt.
