It's the 2022 holiday episode! Aaron and Derek are joined by actress Katie O'Hagan (Mia Winters in Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village!) to tackle 2017's British Christmas zombie musical "Anna and the Apocalypse" directed by John McPhail. Katie shares her journey in acting leading up to her involvement with Resident Evil as well as her experiences performing in the game. For "Anna and the Apocalypse," they discuss how a musical can capture a gambit of emotions, the comparisons with "High School Musical" and "Shaun of the Dead," and what zombie tropes still bleed through. They also talk about their favorite tracks, how they relate to the characters, and what makes this a Christmas movie. Derek can't remember all of Santa's reindeer. Aaron smells like a shoe. So what do you get when you take a High School Musical and the undead? This .... This is is what you get. A surprising take on a horror comedy that has not been done (or at least what we've seen). Taking some of the best comedy aspects of Shaun of the Dead and mixing it with a musical. Still a romantic comedy with zombies, but with some catchy tunes, and a bad ass final girl. So grab a ugly sweater, nog, and get ready for some zombie fun. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/creepinitreel/support

Broadway star Kate Reinders joins The Art of Kindness with Robert Peterpaul to discuss her role as a champion of dreams both on and offscreen, advice for aspiring musical theatre performers, working on Disney's High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and much more. Plus, a special surprise from her co-stars Matt Cornett and Mark St. Cyr! Kate Reinders was raised far from the bright lights of Broadway in Spring Lake, Michigan. One summer changed her life forever, when she attended a theater camp thanks to the support of her parents. Flash forward, Kate is now a bonafide Broadway star. In 2001, she made her debut in the short-lived Broadway musical comedy The Adventures of Tom Sawyer as a swing and understudy for characters Amy Lawrence and Becky Thatcher, played by Kristen Bell. She then joined the 2002 Broadway revival of Into the Woods as an understudy. Her first starring role came in the 2003 revival of Gypsy as June; she went on to play Caroline in the 2005 jukebox musical Good Vibrations. Later that year, Kate played Glinda in the Chicago production of Wicked, alongside Ana Gasteyer as Elphaba; for which received glowing reviews. She went on to replace Megan Hilty as Glinda in the Broadway production. On Broadway, Kate is perhaps most known for originating the role of Portia in the 2015 musical comedy Something Rotten! Onscreen, Kate has been seen in shows like Ugly Betty, Modern Family, and Anger Management. As of 2019 fans know her most for playing drama teacher Miss Jenn in the hit Disney Plus show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.  Got kindness tips or stories? We go from day 12 to day 1 and reveal which of these movies we think would be ending on the best note.  The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, The Addams Family (1991), Inspector Gadget, The Flintstones, The Simpsons Movie, Casper, George of the Jungle, The Last Avatar, The Rugrats Movie, and Scooby-Doo. Where my East High Wildcats at? Y'all ready to get'cha head in the game? This week the world of BRBR takes you back to the Disney Channel Original Movie that started it all with High School Musical. It put our boy Zac Efron on the map and created some of the most die hard super fans of any Disney movie series ever. And y'all I just have to be honest... the age of DCOM's were a golden age if there ever was one. Seriously some of the most nostalgic and classic movies to kids everywhere who were kids at that time! High School Musical came out of the gate singing, dancing and swinging as it still maintains the title of the most popular and successful DCOM of all time. With Troy wanting to ball out for his dad, make googly eyes at the new, shy, cute girl, and show off his vocal pipes in the school's musical, this is literally packed with old age Disney cheesiness. And while it was my first time ever watching this one, I gotta say it was certainly the start of something new. Can Troy convince his team it's okay to sing, win back Gabriella and show these bad reviewers the heart of a true Wildcat? Tune in to find out!   If you enjoyed the episode, please rate and share! It goes such a long way and I am so grateful for all of the support. And hey, if you do leave a review of the show, you will be featured as well! How neat is that? Also, be sure to give my official Ko-Fi page a gander. There you can get access to all kinds of cool perks and prizes from your very own shoutout on the show to choosing which movie I cover next.  Link down below!  You can also find me filling the world with more #BRBR insanity on Insta @billreadsbadreviews and Twitter @BRBR_Bill.
