Welcome to the introductory episode of the new podcast from Evolved Educator. Hosted by Michelle, Chanmi, and Jennifer - three teachers with more than 60 years of experience in education. They met more than 20 years ago at an amazing and incredibly diverse school in Chicago -- in fact, there are 47 different native languages spoken within the school’s population. Michelle and Jennifer still teach at that school. Chanmi moved and works as a instructional coach for a district in northern California. The idea for Evolved Educator started because whenever these three friends would meet the conversation always morphed into education best practices, and how to help their students learn. Over the last two decades, there have been big shifts in education. These three teachers talk about what they’ve learned and how fortunate they feel to have experienced the changes in education first hand. The goal of our podcast is to explore topics that will help teachers create an environment for learning, manage student learning, assessment, and planning. We want you to feel part of the Evolved Educator community. We want to learn from you and we hope you learn something from us too. Evolved Educator is fully committed to supporting teachers. Beyond this podcast, we also developed lesson planning software, called SmartPlanner. Teachers love it because it cuts lesson planning time down to just a few minutes.
