****CONTENT WARNING****: In this episode of Failed Save we discuss and roleplay the sensitive topic of death. Specifically, the passing of a close friend. Your mental health is important to us, and we understand that not everyone is comfortable with the subject and as such we advise all listeners to proceed with caution SUMMARY: The party reels from the loss of one of their own, but they get the send-off they deserve.
Poppy returns from her imprisonment at the hands of Dew Springbloom, while Guy also returns as the Aspect of Death. And while the party follows the trail of a plume of smoke to an unknown town in their continuing quest, on this episode we lose one of our own, as death comes knocking in what culminates in a very wrenching goodbye.
The Rose Beast Rave 2 is in full swing! But while the throne of Dew Springbloom sits empty, he appears in the guise of a large wooden centaur, bearing ominous news about Poppy… and Squangarlo. The party meets Ivellios at the rave, who agrees to help and spirits them away from the rave on a quest to find Poppy, and track down what really happened to Squangarlo. And an old Aspect friend crosses their path again, but in bad shape, and harboring even worse news.
The journey through the Feywild takes a violent turn, as the party and their new barbarian friend, Nokosi face an Omni enemy. Lost in a hostile plane, the group discovers a connection to an old friend, but is there more to the story?
A special kind of chaos reigns from beginning to end in this episode. The party crash lands Critty Critty Bang Bang into the trees whereupon they meet Foot, a Tabaxi spy from Chi's past, who is secretive and mysterious and very, very confusingly violent… but also doesn't maybe know the definition of love? As she teams up with the party to help them on their quest, they meet a group of Orcs, head to the nearest town, and commune with the ghost of Murray who pays them a visit, while also simultaneously trying to keep Foot from murdering everyone.
The party has chosen their path. But getting to their decision was a night fraught with convening with Ella's god Phadohr in which the news about Squangarlo leaves Dasle beside herself. Meanwhile, Guy reappears, and Chi discovers what actually happens to him each time they kill him… and it's disgusting; an explosion rocks the city outside their inn, which leaves two unknown humans dead and a suspicious culprit, and Critty Critty Bang Bang takes to the sky! But an alternate ending gives us a glimpse into what might have happened had the party chosen the other path, and a Summer Court god appears to give a confessional about things to come.
The party is split! Well, they're in opposite ends of town: one looking for an inn, and the other looking for a shop. But in the midst of this, they meet Kettle, who is having an argument with agents sent to bring him in. A Water Genasi Detective with a penchant to seek out and kill all members of the Spring Court, Kettle is not to be trifled with. And these agents are about to find out. Meanwhile, their foe Dew Springbloom makes an ominous observation as they get ready to set out in their new vehicle - Critty Critty Bang Bang.
We pick up where we left off: Squangarlo is dead, killed, and consumed by a plant monster, which the group immediately attacks. In the process, they're aided by Shiffle, a Fantasy Chili's employee, who joins the party on their journey for a bit. But as their adventure continues, after meeting a Golem, a mysterious Orc, a Bird Golem, and a few others, they come to a crossroads on how to proceed that could have fateful consequences. How will they choose?
The plants are alive! And they're not happy. As the group move forward on their journey, the flora seems to have other plans for them. Meanwhile, they meet a mysterious girl named Amelia who isn't quite who she thinks she is, and our resident Swimbo Squangarlo has a run in with an old friend that leads the group to a fateful end for one of their own.
Friends far and wide gather to attend the funeral of their old pal Murray. But when their friend Bora needs help, those that remain of the old team partner up with new friends to form a new adventuring party and sail the high seas… where a forgotten nemesis appears and tries and take them down.
In the penultimate episode of this campaign, the crew head towards the city of Beznost for the big battle. However, in the lead up, Bora and Dasle try to escape the vortex (a doll) they're trapped in, Bora is attacked by a cheetah and a book (yup), and the party says goodbye to one of their longtime friends.
With the sacking of Azero behind them, what remains of the rebellion prepares for a heist. They must obtain a mysterious key that's somewhere inside a building in Cenic hosting an annual gala behind enemy lines. And they're bringing their demon! Meet Mister Malice Malcontent (played by guest Noxweiler Berf). He's fun, he grants “wishes”, and he's classically trained. But as a charismatic demon (Murray is smitten), anything can, and does, happen on this adventure. Grab your snacks and join the fun.
The siege begins! The crew attacks the enemy stronghold of Azero. And with the rebellion needing all the help they can get, help surely comes... but not quite the way they expected. Also, Dasle summons a demon and it is bad ass!
With the surprise return of their ship "The Kombucha", the Failed Save crew head down the coast with their nascently-formed rebellion party on a mission. But that night , when they discover the shipwreck from the other half of their party and no one to be found but their torn and bloody clothes, the party heads out in search of what happened.
The wedding of Fess and Bora is interrupted by an enemy assault in which our party are caught by surprise with the whole island under attack. Will our party escape? What exactly is “The Clean Slate”? And “KinkRomancer” Barbara shows up to embarrass Murray and commandeers the day with so many double entendres.
On a quest to revive the rebellion, the crew continue to travel with Murray's trio of friends from the old folks home (as well as Nasiq). In the process, they throw a bachelorette party for Fess, complete with Tiger face-paintings, Murray and Chirp "Freaky Friday", and Guy returns with quite the donk. Repeatedly.
Silas asks the crew to recruit their friends for the rebellion... and maybe they could start by taking a boat to a somewhat creepy island? Also, Chirp puts his cloaca to an interesting use.
In this special one-shot adventure, the crew returns to their bar to catch up on their business... and discover Squangarlo and his familiar Bennyantha (Damien Haas) is their employee.
With Fess back from the dead, the crew heads out in search of what remains of the rebellion. But along the way we had a first: a confessional from a donk, Ella learned to fly, and Chirp runs into a loved one.
Fess returns! But while the crew celebrates, including her sister Zhirryn, Nasiq encourages them to get back into the fight before the empire takes over.
After Dasle makes a deal with the devil (Malfus), Fess returns... sort of... possessing various members of the party for brief periods of time. Meanwhile, Bora returns and helps the others in a quest to find all the items on Malfus' list to return Fess in corporeal form.
In this episode, Mark Meer guest stars as Nilbog, Guy + Murray "Freaky Friday", Dasle dances with a human-shaped cluster of rats, and pirates attack. Yeah, this episode gets wild.
A raven approaches the party with a proposal, Ella delivers a pie to someone's face, and Fess returns... sort of.
Three months have passed since the death of one of their own. Bora has disappeared. The party is mourning. But... Guy is definitely still around. Also, Murray accidentally shaved off an eyebrow.
The final episode of season two. Will Fess Survive her encounter in the theater? Will the crew find Losha before she unleashes her forces upon the rebellion? Do the pets de-omnify? It all gets answered now.
Who is Songbird? The crew is on a mission to find this mysterious contact. But on the way, they run into a few old friends, Dasle becomes a relationship narc, and a brand new Omnihorse has something to say. Grab your snacks and prepare for another wild episode
After having died because of him, our adventurers meet up with Philemon again, and not everyone is happy to see him. And by “not everyone” we mean none of them. But their distrust must wait as they embark on a journey for an artifact in a very dreamlike realm, and what happens next is not whaat anyone expected.
Zombies, Rats, and Trebuchets. It wouldn’t be a battle with the Failed Save gang if it wasn’t weird. But will they save the gnome city of Vorbar? Also, Nasiq was surprisingly chatty this episode.
Guest Damien Haas returns as the gang spends a very odd night at an Inn that seemingly pops up out of nowhere. Murray makes himself into a plate of sushi, Squangarlo turns out to maybe be a savant, and Bennyantha has a secret to reveal… in German?
Captured, confined, and hungry, the gang get free but must make their way through their prison dungeon... and meet Dasle's old "university" buddy Squangarlo (Damien Haas of Smosh) who is very nice, and also very stupid. Do the gang escape? Or is it all just a trap?
Fess returns to the gang to bring them to the rebellion camp. But once there, she's confronted by the sudden appearance of her former love, Murrow. He has a secret to share with her. And she and the rest of the gang are pulled into a deep sleep slumber where they face alternate realities of their lives... or are they real? Also, a rat army emerges for the rat king. Yeah, we don't get it either.
This week, the gang are stuck with multiple and sudden shocking alignment shifts, the Silver Sterling bestows a few gifts on the group, one of which might involve a little blueberry man (yes you read that right), Fess departs the group on a serious endeavor (but not before divulging some interesting allergies in a confessional), and oh yeah... there's a story.
Murray runs into an old adventuring buddy. Dasle flexes her horse-speaking skills with a party of nine. And something is off with the Bora confessionals.
WHO IS THE SILVER STERLING!?!?! You're about to find out. Plus, Bora's backstory sheds light on her past, Chirp takes damage from some rocks, and guest Amy Dallen returns as Dare for one great roller coaster of a journey.
Team Group meets up with an acquaintance they'd rather forget. Also, a magic book! Too bad Murray doesn't believe in magic.
