This week we find Joseph in a pit. Can we experience an overcoming life while in a pit? YES WE CAN!
What does it mean to Overcome? Does it mean wealth, success, prosperity, healing? What if to "Overcome" means to walk with God moment by moment and trust him through difficult circumstances? Join us as we explore and journey with Joseph... a true Overcomer.
God CARES about you, your circumstances and your pain. This week we conclude "Care Month" with a study of Psalm 57.

This is the second message in our 4-week series, "The God Who Cares." This series focuses on the strong, powerful, and life transforming message that God DOES care. He has strategically placed ministries & people in our lives for us to reach out to. Sometimes, that means we will be the recipient, and at other times it may mean that we are to help someone in need. So, the question is, what is God calling you into? Do you have struggles in your life in which you need someone to walk with you? Or, are you patiently (or not so patiently) waiting on God for something?

We have things in life that we trust (sometimes without realizing it) for our security and sense of well-being -- money, friends, career, etc. These are all unstable and will let us down. The Lord is the only one who will never let us down. Where is your trust?
God has blessed us richly as a people, but in Northern Virginia it is so easy to lose perspective. We need to guard our hearts. Jesus taught on the dangers of loving money in Luke 12:15-21. Money is beneficial, but it doesn’t give life. It can blind us to the need around us and leads us to self-sufficiency.
First is the first message in our five-part series entitled Living Generously. In both the Old Testament and New Testament, God shared how He will bless us to be a blessing to others. This week's message looks at how God desires His followers, in light of Jesus' death up on the cross, to be sacrificially generous within the community of believers.
Part of the challenge of work is the temptation to allow it to define us. Deuteronomy 8 reminds us that our identity is not in what we do, or the blessings we are experiencing, but in God who is the source of all good things.
God set us apart to bring the Gospel to His world. Join us as we look at what that looks like for followers of Christ to carry out their calling in their careers.
God’s kingdom is ready to break through in your workplace! We live in a world affected by sin and the fall and the workplace is a great place to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21).
In Luke 14:25-35, Jesus shared amazing words of challenge and encouragement to those who would follow him. In this sermon, GLCC missionary and former pastor Larry Henderson unpacks what it means to follow Jesus with a whole heart.

God’s design is for the family to picture the unity of the Trinity. When both parents and children work together in the family relationship, the result is peace and the world takes notice.
Since God spoke the ten commandments to Moses on Mt. Sinai 3500 years ago, honoring our parents has been consistently taught as a principle for Christian living. In this message, Tom Gordy shares that honoring parents goes beyond simple obedience and how honoring our parents is lived out in the 21st century.
