The description of a podcast is so often overlooked. This, to my knowledge, is the first podcast to exist exclusively in text form. What could I write about? I don't think there's a character limit.... could be a novel, a play, a manifesto... Not sure... So a bit about what I'm up to, I suppose. I've been really digging more into guitar lately. It seems like I'm allergic to doing things properly, so I almost never use a metronome or written music. However, noodling my way into new territory and learning riffs by watching people's fingers on Youtube has proven very effective recently. I'm noticing gains in speed and improv abilities. My melodic phrasing during solos is also taking a new shape. Having been stuck in a musical box for about a year, breaking into new territory excites me to no end. I'm drinking coffee in a Grand Rapids cafe right now. Iced black coffee has been a revolution for me. Love the stuff. Occasionally, I'll put some on ice and add a splash of coconut milk. It's like dessert. Every bar should have iced coffee on tap. I might never drink alcohol again. How cool would that be? My laptop battery is at at 19%. It's only been an hour and a half. Not nearly the battery life this 2012 13" Macbook Pro once had. It's a great computer and still runs perfectly fine. Still, it does get slow and confused at times. When I run garageband and final cut pro, I notice it just can't process data the way it used to. A 5 year-old apple product is like a 63 year-old human. Still full of life and function, but slowing down just a bit. I'm doing open mic at Founders Brewing tonight with some friends. It's going to be fun. Don't know what else to say. This has been my first text podcast.
Meredith Hague, Phil Hartley, Mitch Goetz and I review two new Snickers flavors. I just realized there's a fiery flavor too. Darn.

I went to Boulder and Denver with my friend Phil Hartley and we made a song. The "Booiip" sound at the end is a random guy who joined us while we made the song atop a cliff. It took some convincing for him to join the song. I made it with this app called Spire. Thumbs up Spire.
