This ever so calculated, well-thought out, intentional woman finally made the biggest jump of her life. You read the title of this podcast episode correctly. I resigned from my corporate job and moved to my heartbeat island of Jamaica. Boy can I tell you,"when man ah plan, God ah wipe out". It has been a rollercoaster and nonetheless I thank God for the clarity He gave me, the wisdom and most of all the freedom. I  have ONE life, God gave me ONE chance, and one MANDATE:  to live to the absolute fullest. Life is filled with ups and downs but I've learned that in everything "GIVE THANKS"! Through the devastation, through the pain and disbelief, still GIVE THANKS. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, DAT WILL NEVA HAPPEN! 

Protect black women regardless of where they are. Jamaica's recent increase in crimes against women really saddens me. However, I could never forget to honor my mother. Some gal nah no madda; I have a MOTHER! So I could NEVER relate. Goodie come out strong every time! Blessings to my empress divine.

There are some songs that no matter where you are in your life physically,spiritually, emotionally, they completely arrest you and remind you of the love of God. With jargon like “reprobate mind” and “lukewarm Christian” being a part of the Christian vernacular to describe those of us who “are of a double-minded faith”; I'm just out here being honest enough to say that I miss fellowship and accountability. Give me the real and keep the fake.

This episode should NOT be skipped by any clergy members nor new in creation believers. I want us to come and sit at a table where transparency is the meal being served. The bible is our foundation, but we all could benefit from an honest conversation. Let's unpack the depths of purity, the real weight of fornication, and our inability to address adultery.

At one point in time, I've had to sit myself down and ask "what prevents my ambition from being considered greed?" Am I doing enough, doing too much, or no where in between? Sometimes you've got to get pen, paper, and put meaning to words. Define them, seek an honest opinion, and remember to find contentment. I'm just out here trying to make sure that I am proud of the life I live; all while not driving myself insane. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, but lowly is the one who won't work to better their efforts. 

*Inserts Oprah's "oh well" GIF* Chilleeee, 2021 we are in the hood! It's written in the unofficial yet official rules of being a hot gyal that, every woman should know how to defend themselves. It raises your tier of "hot gyalness". I've got a few unpopular opinions that would probably get my black and Caribbean card revoked but argue with your mom; not me! You guys, I'm sick of being inside yet the PTSD from this pandemic will likely continue to make me feel uncomfortable with someone standing less than six feet away.

I FEEL A WAYYYYY!!!! Lol The holidays aren't the same as an adult and 2020 definitely didn't make it any easier. However in the words of Koffee "Gratitude is a must!" Holiday traditions have taught me the valuable lessons in life as to what truly matters. I'm counting on 2021 for a do-over. Nonetheless, let's toast!

Welcome to the year 2021. WEWH! This year the only goal is to ensure that "We Rise". It's hella weird to have everybody in your face asking when you'll settle down, when you'll have kids, when you'll bring your significant other around the family, Blah; Blah, Blah, Blah-blahh!. In this episode I reflect on several conversations I've had amongst women of all ages and their complaints, viewpoints, regrets and my own realization about all of it. In all your choices, in the one life we have, I just want to remind women to STOP SETTLING! Normalize treating yourself to the finer things in life all while, raising the bar for what you'll tolerate. Demand it, get it, and most of all expect nothing less. A few may call you a b*tch, but I'll be damned if their isn't a boss in front of it

What a year! Indeed, we can all agree this has been quite unfathomable. Nonetheless, let's reflect on some of the things that kept us afloat. Whether it was music, podcasts, yoga, meditation, self-care, therapy, affirmations; we shouldn't diminish the fact that it was a challenging year. I've cried, hurt, laughed, but most importantly; I HEALED!!! One of my fav mantras has been " buss couple blank for yourself Babygirl ", and without fail every time I conquer another challenge, I assure you, I do! 

Alexa, play "What About Your Friends" by TLC.... We've all had some friendships that honestly really fixed our outlook on a lot of things. This episode is a "2.0" because Aunty Michelle always says "When they go low, we go high". Gain the necessary closure, Chuck up the deuces and tell 'em "Stay up boo".  That's on ME!  Always remain true to you, and when you start changing (not for the better), PIVOT! Honestly, I'm grateful for the growth.  For the few times when I thought I was being valued in the same way I loved, I'm glad I woke up. All in all, when people said I changed, they were right. I'd rather sit at a table filled with honest enemies, than devious friends. In the words of J.Cole "watch the snakes, cuz they watchin you".

Traveling 101 for the beginner. For those of you who are traveling for the first time, I have some tips that work best for me and someone recently asked me to share. If you are brave enough to do this in a pandemic, I wish you well with the utmost sincerity. Aircraft lift vs. gravity is a real thing and I mean it in every single way. Pack light but efficient. Work smarter not harder, and be comfy and not frumpy. As a seasoned traveler who has experienced delay,  layover, lost baggage, food poisoning, motion sickness; you name it, I've been through it all.  Yet, one thing for certain and two for sure, I've never missed a flight.   All the best from your fav. traveling hot girl, Fabi

Nobody really talks about their fears and failures. Whether you are getting ready to graduate or have graduated, this one is for YOU. We make plans, God laughs. We have an idea of what happiness looks like, and then realize, "this isn't what I thought it would be".  Nonetheless, take the time to notice how far you've come, where you're going, and what you've achieved. You've got ONE life, and stop living it on the basis of "when". "WHEN" I do this, then. "WHEN" I get this, then.  The planner is always humbled by the Creator. Afterall, the race isn't for the swift, but for those who can endure. ❤️

To every struggling Christian who is grappling with a lot, this one is for you. Ninja Man said it best " be nearer to God and stay far from church". In other words, have a deeper relationship with God than be caught up in the politics of church hypocrisy. If you are a believer and have never read the word of God in its entirety, I encourage you to do so.  It will eliminate a lot of confusion. To every Christian who is always obedient, feel free to sit this one out, or listen with an open-mind. The world already has its view as to what a Christian should be like, and I will just say...I am a woman of God to avoid the foolishness of not being "perfect" enough. Know God for yourself. After all, "dem nuh more than God".
