When you become a follower of Jesus you begin a journey of complete transformation from the inside out: a new life, as a new creation in Him. Transformation does not happen by simply deciding to do or not do something, because our past life without Jesus is firmly planted in our mind. We are transformed by allowing God to change the way we think. The Life Transformation Discipleship Plan is designed for just that: changing the way you think - transformation.
Do not let petty issues ruin the joy that God has for you. Instead, focus on the forgiveness that gives you joy. We have an unshakable faith in Jesus!
In today's scripture, read through Romans 6:18-19, which explains the topic of "Slave to Righteousness." We don't serve because we hope to be accepted by God. After all, he already loves us. We serve to honor Him and bring Him glory!
Congratulations, you have completed the Life Transformation Bible Discipleship plan! We encourage you to take what you've learned and share it with others so they may experience the same growth you have.
Jesus is training, preparing, and equipping me to make a difference in my world and persevere to the end. I am resolved to learn and grow daily.
In order to grow in our faith, we must remain in Jesus. Because of this, I choose to live in the necessary discipline and effort because growth requires hard work.
Be intentional with your thoughts and actions so that you will continue to grow in your faith! I am resolved to learn and grow daily.
God's power is our strength! Read through 2 Corinthians 12:9, which says that His power works best in weakness. So look to your weaknesses as a place God can make you strong!
I will be a person who grows daily so that my faith is a dynamic part of every aspect of my life resulting in good fruit and maturity.
Welcome to the last week of our Life Transformation Bible! This week we are focusing on this topic: I am resolved to learn and grow daily.
Overall this week, we have learned to work hard for the Lord so that we can get our ultimate reward which is God's inheritance. How are you going to change the way you live to work for God?
We are encouraged to work for God and not be idle. Growth and good deeds don't come from being idle. So work hard and honor God in what you do!
Working for God is important but we must also take the time to rest. Just like God rested after creating the world, we must rest as we work for God!
I will practice excellence in my work whatever the compensation; my ultimate reward is my inheritance in Christ! Follow along in the daily readings by emailing office@alivechurch.com for a free Life Transformation Bible.
As a follower of Jesus, everything I do reflects Jesus. Because of this truth, I find work meaningful regardless of how tedious it may seem. So as you're reading these topics, remember: Whatever I do, I will work as though I am working for the Lord!
I will always do my work in a way that honors God. By doing this it will show the people around you how to work in an ethical manner. Showing others the good work you do for God can encourage them to do the same.
Whatever I do, I will work as though I am working for the Lord. This week, start to shift your mindset to think of your work as though it's not for people but God himself!
In John 10:10, it tells us that the enemy wants to kill, steal, and destroy but God's purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life. So follow the plans God has crafted for you. You are His masterpiece!
God's plans for our future are good so that we will have hope! As God's masterpiece, we have a role to live a life that's to honor Him with our thoughts, decisions, and actions.
We are able to rely on God's power because it is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. That same power is working in us because we are His masterpiece.
I have a role in living life as the masterpiece God created me to be through thoughts, decisions, and actions. As I obey Him in these areas of my life, He releases the masterpiece potential He placed within me!
We are a new creation in Jesus! 2 Corinthians 5:17 confirms this: "Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!"
Today's reading shows that God has a plan for all of us to live out His will. Read through the memory verse this week, which tells us that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago!
In this week's reading, we are learning that we are God's masterpiece, not because of what we do, but because He made us to be a masterpiece. Follow along in the Life Transformation Bible. You can request a free bible by emailing office@alivechurch.com
In 1 Corinthians 15:50-55, we read that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. We will be transformed so that we can spend eternity with our God in Heaven!
Hell is a place of torment, agony, hopelessness, eternal destruction, isolation, and separation from God. However, my home is Heaven - God's eternal dwelling place.
We have the choice to either listen to God's Word or not. Depending on how we use our lives will be up to God's judgment if we spend eternity with Him or not. So, use your time wisely and live on God's path that He has for you!
Since Heaven is our true home, we must focus on the things of Heaven and not earth. The things to focus on are found in Philippians 4:8.
Today we look at what we will receive in Heaven. Revelation 21:1-4 says that there will be no more pain, sorrow, death, or crying. We will be with God himself!
I will live worthy of my citizenship through the power of Christ in me. Because we are loyal to God, we will use our time here on earth to spread His word!
I rejoice today that my name is written in Heaven! Our memory verse this week is Luke 10:20. Take time to learn it and read it every day!
From this weekes reading, go back and look at what you've learned. What can you do to prepare for Jesus' return?
Jesus' return will be a promise fulfilled and a time of great celebration for all His followers! So prepare yourself and build up others for His return.
The dead and the living, those who are disciples of Jesus, will be taken to heaven. This joyous reunion will go on forever. The time or day of His return is unknown, but it is certain and near. I will live ready in anticipation of Jesus' return.
Matthew 13:31-33 says that only God knows when Jesus will return, so we must stay alert and ready for when that day comes!
Yesterday's reading taught us that Jesus' return will be obvious. Today's reading teaches us to stay away from those who tell us that He has returned. When He returns, the whole world will know that Jesus is Lord
His return will be unmistakable; no one will wonder about His identity. Read through Matthew 24:30-33 for more about Jesus' undoubted return!
This week we are discussing Jesus' return, so through this week, we are going to live ready in anticipation of Jesus' return.
It's time to invite! Be prepared to share the story with those you are inviting into the discipleship process.
Prayerfully consider what action you can take inviting those He has given you into the discipleship process with you.
Prayerfully ask God to give you the courage and tenacity that He speaks of in that chapter for those He is leading you to disciple.
As you pray for those you are to disciple, ask God to give you the opportunity to invite them into the process. Read through Luke 14:25-35 about the cost of discipline.
Share the names of those you feel led to disciple with the person discipling you and ask him or her to join you in praying for them.
Part of making a disciple is looking for people that God has made ready. As you continue to pray, pray that God prepares their hearts for this transformation!
Part of today's reading asks this: As you pray, ask God to direct you to one or two people you can take through this discipleship process.
Throughout the week, we have learned about Jesus' attitude and decided to make our attitude mirror his. Make that your goal going forward. My attitude will be the same as that of Jesus Christ!
Having the attitude of Jesus will honor and please God! Proverbs 3:6 tells us: "Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." Take the path that pleases God and have Jesus' attitude.
