3rd part of the "Soul Keeping" series.  Today was online only!

In this new series on the soul, I am finding myself more reflective on the very sensitive nature of our soul, and how it can be at odds with God and the world around us.   Last week I sought to identify our soul, the gift of God that intends to bring into balance our will's, our bodies, and our minds.   This week we'll explore many of the struggles of the soul, that will reveal to us just how powerful and important it is that we tend to the health of our souls.   How is it with your soul?   -Frank

Have you thought much about your soul lately? Since my physical struggles last year I’ve been thinking about my soul a lot because of a book I read that was a great help to me. The book is called Soul Keeping and it will be the title of this new message series and will last through Lent. We’ll start today by investigating, the question, “What is the Soul?”. Let’s explore this intriguing piece of how we’re created.  -Frank

Know anyone who has filter problems?  I think all of us do at times. Have you ever said something and immediately thought to yourself, "did I just say that?"    As we wrap up this series called My Story, we've been exploring what it means to tell our stories, of life, of when Jesus became more than a name to us, of how we've moved in our lives from believing to following Jesus.     This week we look at a final critical piece to telling our stories, and it has everything to do with our filters.  Listen in and get your filter checked... I think you'll be surprised to understand what I mean.   

Last week, as we began the series called My Story, I invited you to think about the power of the story of your life, and how simple it can be to tell someone the story of your life, like where you're from, what you do, the kind of family you have, you get the idea.     But I also invited you to think about the most important factor in your life story, and that is related to the question, "when did Jesus become more than a name to you?"  Has He...become more than a name?  We heard from Prince Amukamara, Cornerback for the Chicago Bears, who told us his own story about how he moved from being a believer to a follower.  Are you?   This Sunday we'll continue our exploration of our stories and examine a powerful passage from Philippians in which the Apostle Paul teaches us again about the power of a life story.  Join me as we explore more about our stories and why they are so important in this day we live in.  We'll also hear this week from another NFL great as we hear the story of Nate and Lexi Solder.     - Frank Briggs
