Over the past three shows, the LRPN team has been dealing with 7.7 Biblical Secrets to Grow Your Business in the Next 90 Days. In this show, Sean, Troy, Deborah and adrienne break down secret #4 which is: Make sure your heart is in all that you do or the Lord will not reward you. Half-heartedness is something that effects all of us from time to time. Practically, it manifests itself in a variety of ways from an inconsistent business schedule, to lack of perseverance, to a poor closing rate on sales due to lackluster sales presentations. With several Scriptural examples, the LRPN team elaborates on why half-heartedness harms our businesses and what the remedy is. God expects whole-hearted commitment! How much would turn around in your business if you turned up the level of commitment? Listen in to this week's show to hear more!
Wealth, Profit, and Success Come from God” is the third essential truth point in the series of 7.7 Biblical Secrets to Success. In this episode, the LRPN team breaks down what it means to truly embrace the belief that wealth and success comes from God. Sean, Deborah, Troy and Adrienne illustrate from the Scriptures how that belief will change our strategies and tactics as business owners. Imagine the diligence, integrity, excellence, confidence, and trust that business owners will operate with when the Lord is the center of attention as the source of profit and success! The co-hosts elaborate upon Deuteronomy 8:18, among other verses, give several practical applications of the Scriptures, and answer many questions from the listeners on FB live. Be sure to listen in for tips on a wide range of applications to this point-- from setting business hours, to shifting the focus on the “optics” and the aesthetics of ads, to avoiding unethical/manipulative business practices, and much more.
In this second episode in the series of 7.7 Biblical Secrets to Grow Your Business in the Next 30 Days, the LRPN team takes a look at self-promotion, the practice of "tooting your own horn". Using many example of the rampant self-promotion, especially on Facebook and other social media platforms, Sean, Deborah, Troy, and Adrienne demonstrate the adverse effect of this practice on one's business. As always, the Scriptures were the basis for the discussion, including Proverbs 27:2 and Philippians 2:3-4. Also discussed was the common aversion to selling, and "being pushy", which also flows from a focus on self-promotion. Instead of manipulating the customer to purchase by lauding his own merits, a wise business owner will focus on the needs of his customer and how he can meet those needs. Chockful of solid biblical counsel as usual, this episode clearly directs any business owner in the right way to communicate with his/her customers. Be certain to tune in!
In this first of the series entitled "Seven Biblical Secrets to Grow Your Business", Sean, Deborah, Troy and Adrienne first addressed limiting beliefs and constraints that many Christians in business put on themselves. For example, many Christians feel it is kind or Christ-like to undercharge for their products or services, but is that really true? The LRPN team delved into the Scripture to demonstrate the opposite: "God expects you to be rewarded for your labor"! That reward is expected, and even mandated, by God is an essential mindset for Christian business owners to embrace. This first secret to grow your business is guaranteed to boost your bottom line, if implemented. For the first time, the LRPN management team was live on Facebook for this recording. It was great to interact with LRPN listeners on Facebook and give instant feedback to your questions, so keep them coming. We'll be live again this week, so come join us!
The stock market has been rather volatile lately. While some investors are getting wiped out, others are securing themselves against another crash. All indications are that there are cracks in the dam, so to speak. Another recession may be on the horizon; it is just a matter of when and how deep. So, in this tenth episode of the Live Recession Proof Now Radio show, Sean, Deborah, Troy and Adrienne continue to make the case for why American Christians ought to prepare themselves now. “Eliminating financial stress” was the reason from the last show that resonated most with our listeners. But, in addition to reducing financial worry and anxiety, living recession-proof also transfers wealth from secular hands into the Church and keeps God’s people from squandering the gifts He has given them. Furthermore, recession-proof living demonstrates our faith to the world in tangible, practical ways. Listen in to the LRPN team to hear how you can put your faith on display through a recession-proof life. Show less
According to many stats, the economy is doing better than it has in while. We’ve been in a steady upward climb since the low of 2009 and it looks like that climb is continuing. Companies are giving raises. The Consumer Confidence Index is up. And the average American reports feeling a little breathing room in the budget. So, why the present looking fairly rosy, why worry about a recession? Why should we recession-proof our finances? In this episode, Sean Deborah, Troy and Adrienne look at two biblical reasons to “live recession proof now”. A recession-proof mindset eliminates stress and increases resources for giving. But how can one start on the path to a recession-proof life? What are some practical steps? The panel provide some practical tips that can change your financial outlook today, and it’s probably not what you think. Listen in for some reasons and ways to live recession proof today!
In this final episode on Poverty in America, the Live Recession Proof Now team reflects on the shortcomings addressed in previous episodes—the inability of the government to individualize its help, the unbiblical biases of secular philanthropists, the short-sidedness of “band-aid” solutions, etc. And finally, the team upholds the Church as the answer to each of those gaps. Sean, Troy, Deborah and Adrienne highlight the Bible’s answers to many of the underlying causes of poverty, as well as it’s answers for the long-term implications on individuals and families. The contrast between what the world can offer and what the Church can offer instead is vast. One highlight is the predatory loaning practices which caused the housing bubble bust in the early 2000’s, as contrasted with the biblically-informed advice and counsel to achieve home ownership while living within one’s means. The former provides housing in the short-term, but perpetuates poverty in the long run, as opposed to the latter which seeks to provide long-term stability. Other contrasts include perpetuation of fatherlessness versus the promotion of healthy Biblical families, the cultivation of dependence versus the call to dignity, and much more. If you are one who is looking for a path out of poverty, be sure to listen in to this episode to hear resources within the Body of Christ that you should take advantage of.
Jesus said the poor we will always have with us (Mrk. 14:7). Yet, throughout scripture, Christians are encouraged, even commanded to consider the poor and take up their cause. Proverbs 29:7 says, “The righteous considereth the cause of the poor…”. They poor are our neighbor and we are told, by Jesus, to love them as we love ourselves. The world, governments, and unsaved philanthropists have taken up the God given mandate to help the poor through charitable programs and humanitarian pursuits. The United States government itself declared, “war on poverty” in the late 1960’s, creating welfare programs to assist and help those in need. Some of the world’s solutions have helped and are of great benefit and Christians can learn from them. Other solutions, on the other hand, have made the problem worse or may even be counterproductive. In this liverecessionproofnow.com podcast, Part 3 of our series on Poverty in America, we discuss – What the World is Doing Right and Wrong to Address Poverty and What We can Learn from Them.
Last week’s show was on the subject of generosity. (If you missed that one, you can catch it here.) But the subject of generosity inevitably leads to the subject of poverty, because the Scriptures repeatedly speak about generosity in relation to caring for the poor. So, that got the LRPN team thinking: Why is there such poverty in America? What is the Church doing about it? What’s the secular world doing? What are we doing right? What are we doing wrong? That line of questions led to this show, the first in a series of episodes on poverty in America. Interestingly, this episode aired on the day which we honor the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, whose “Poor People’s Campaign” is not often remembered or commemorated. Many believe this final campaign on poverty is what pushed Dr. King out of favor in many circles at the time. Indeed, poverty in America has always been a rather contentious subject. There are those who argue that poverty is always the poor person’s fault and those who argue that it’s always society’s fault. Biblically, the issue is not so simple. Sean, Deborah, Troy, and Adrienne break down some statistics of the current state of American poverty, as well as the wide range of reasons and causes. And as usual they back it all up with the Word of God.

Many approach the New Year with the anticipation of what they will receive-- what blessings will come or what harvest they’ll reap. But, what if we approached the year instead with eagerness to give? In this third episode, Sean, Troy, Deborah and Adrienne discuss the fourth and most important resolution of the Live Recession Proof Now model: nurturing a heart of wisdom and generosity. The LRPN team expounds on the numerous exhortations in the Word to give and to be generous. Contrary to human nature the Biblical path to blessing is not to withhold and to hoard for ourselves. It is to give! It is to live open-handed instead of tight-fisted. To put that generosity into practice, the LRPN team has a special giveaway for its listeners on this episode. Listen in now and don’t miss out on this special gift! To learn more about generosity, visit liverecessionproofnow.com.
Happy New Year from the Live Recession Proof Now team! In this second episode, Sean Deborah, Troy and Adrienne discuss the most popular New Year resolutions in America. Not surprisingly, among the top resolutions are these three: to spend less, to save more and to get out of debt. Also not surprising is the dismally low number of Americans able to keep those resolutions. The LRPN team exposes one missing essential component, which is causing their lack of success. Interestingly those resolutions are all about holding back, not about producing more. The answer to many of the financial woes faced in 2017 is not spending less, but it's generating more. With Biblical examples of industriousness and innovation, our four co-hosts describe why it's essential for everyone to resolve to produce multiple streams of income in 2018 and beyond.
