Niren Bhatt needs no intro. A very successful writer with a range of box office hits from Stree 2, which did 400 cr. plus business, to another hit of the year Munjya. You can google Niren Bhatt and see his writing across genres, many of which you would have heard or seen. But, more than the box office figures what is interesting to know is how does Niren Bhatt think? Because writing is a thinking process- and the way you think is the way you will structure, the way you will choose the right elements for your story, the right scene perspective, and the way to move the audience; in his case SWAY THE AUDIENCE. Suchita digs Niren on multiple levels, and you can't miss the humour and get swayed.1) Writing across genres.2) Writing is a thinking process- HOW DO YOU THINK?3) Maslow's hierarchy and the intent of self- actualization!4) The detailed Writing process- which has to be fulfilling.5) The Syd Fields, The Robert Mckees- And the template of screen writing?6) From playwriting to ScriptWriting.7) Advice from Gulzar Saab.8) WRITER'S BLOCK- is fictional!10)First Draft - VOMIT DRAFT to 15- 16th Final Draft.11) SCRIPT LITERACY AND BOUNCING BOARDS- Who are you sharing your scripts with, to read- VERY IMP.12) The rejections, traumas, imposter syndromes.13) Importance of a DREAM PRODUCER-14) Market research/ Algorithms- Analysis is a double edged sword?15) What is it that your producers of Stree 2 and Munjya are DOING RIGHT?16) The analysis of the elements of genre.17) PLS DO NOT ASK FOR SO MANY NARRATIONS AND THEN REJECT C, TRAUMAS, MENTAL HEALTH ISSUESKnowing the INTENT and purpose of what ever work you are doing, will drive it in the right direction- in this case MASLOW'S HIERARCHY OF SELF- ACTUALIZATION ! And, the moment you know this- you will set a clear direction for your life and your values, your purpose- which is all interlinked with the kind of work you want to do!! Great takeaway. The Secret to Serving Serving Without Hindrances Nehemiah 5:6-13 I was very angry when I heard their outcry and these words. I took counsel with myself, and I brought charges against the nobles and the officials. I said to them, “You are exacting interest, each from his brother.” And I held a great assembly against them and said to them, “We, as far as we are able, have bought back our Jewish brothers who have been sold to the nations, but you even sell your brothers that they may be sold to us!” They were silent and could not find a word to say. So I said, “The thing that you are doing is not good. Ought you not to walk in the fear of our God to prevent the taunts of the nations our enemies? Moreover, I and my brothers and my servants are lending them money and grain. Let us abandon this exacting of interest. Return to them this very day their fields, their vineyards, their olive orchards, and their houses, and the percentage of money, grain, wine, and oil that you have been exacting from them.” Then they said, “We will restore these and require nothing from them. We will do as you say.” And I called the priests and made them swear to do as they had promised. I also shook out the fold of my garment and said, “So may God shake out every man from his house and from his labor who does not keep this promise. So may he be shaken out and emptied.” And all the assembly said “Amen” and praised the LORD. And the people did as they had promised. I. Nehemiah Spoke Out Against Hindrances II. Your Parenting Mojo - Respectful, research-based parenting ideas to help kids thrive
Do you worry about the state of the Earth? Climate change perhaps above all else, but also resource extraction, air pollution, and the injustice that goes along with the ways the impacts of these things are distributed? You're not the only one. I know not everyone goes this far, but one of the reasons I waited so long to have a baby, almost didn't have a baby, and will only have one child is to reduce my impact on climate change. We all know we're supposed to fly less, drive less, and eat less meat. But how can those actions ever be enough, when (I read somewhere a long time ago) that there aren't enough resources on the planet for everyone to consume the resources that an unhoused person in the United States uses? In her new book Parenting on Earth: A Philosopher's Guide to Doing Right by Your Kids - and Everyone Else's (affiliate link), Dr. Elizabeth Cripps walks us through the moral arguments involved in taking action on these issues - as well as the ones we use to justify not taking action.
What does it mean to be a “good parent” by today's northern hemisphere, privileged standards? Good grades, good jobs, good car, and house. What if that is all wrong? What if that is actually contributing to the downfall of civilization? Dr Elizabeth Cripps, a parent herself, applied her educational training in philosophy to try to answer how we solve global problems like climate change, pandemics, antibiotic resistance, and social inequity by the way we parent and use our collective power for the good of our children but also for all. We had a great discussion about all of that, as well as her latest book, “A Philosopher's Guide to Doing Right by Your Kids – and Everyone Else”. As an environmental philosopher, writer Elizabeth Cripps spends a lot of time thinking about what we owe the next generation -- which includes her two young daughters, who she hopes to educate and empower to become climate activists as well. In this conversation, Elizabeth gives Andy tips on how to raise environmentally conscious kids (and grandkids) while keeping them safe from climate anxiety. Amidst today's labor shortage, employers are learning an important truth: we have no “extra” people. Unfortunately, many qualified workers are “hidden” from real consideration for jobs by ineffective artificial intelligence hiring screens, overly strict credentialing requirements, or a narrowmindedness from companies on how seemingly disparate skills could might serve to strengthen business operations. These barriers contribute to the existence of 27 million “hidden workers” in the US, including mothers returning to the workforce, those with physical disabilities, neurodivergent workers, and veterans. To discuss this problem, I am joined by AEI non-Resident Fellow and Harvard Business School professor Joe Fuller. In addition to his work at AEI, Joe co-leads the Managing the Future of Work project, and has published reports through HBS as well as numerous popular press outlets. Is intercessory prayer more or less effective than lasix? These seemingly random questions are the “rabbit holes” that keep Dr. Wayne Rosen up at night. Dr. Rosen is a colorectal surgeon at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Rosen has long delighted the calgary surgical community with his entertaining and thoughtful critiques of a whole host of philosophical and bioethical concepts, ranging from evidence based medicine to how we might ration surgical resources in a pandemic like COVID. We recorded this conversation back in May 2021. We would love to hear your thoughts on any of the topics we discussed on this week's episode on twitter @canjsurg or by email at podcast.cjs@gmail.com. Doing Right by Hebert and Rosen: https://www.amazon.ca/Doing-Right-Practical-Trainees-Physicians/dp/0199031339 Bio (from colondoc.ca): Dr. Wayne Rosen did his undergraduate degree in the arts at Queens' University in Kingston, Ontario. After this he studied in Europe for two years and returned to Canada to study medicine. Dr. Rosen graduated in 1991 from Queens University Medical School in Kingston, Ontario, and completed his General Surgery training at the University of Calgary in 1997. Why do you do right when you do right? Is it for self-reputation? Is it because you love others? Or, do you just do it without thinking because that's who you've become? We are continuing our series on having the mind of Christ, and specifically, we're looking at Matthew chapter 6.
By [wbt_preacher_link preacher=”Vince Finnegan”] Ruth 2:1 Boaz, the son of Salmon, was a kinsman to Elimelech (which is important to Ruth's destiny). 4 Boaz and his workers are spiritually minded people. 12 Ruth was rewarded for living the right way before Yahweh. The blessings were there not only because of her loyalty to Naomi, but more so to Yahweh. Deuteronomy 32:9-14 Figuratively, the idiom symbolizes Yahweh as the Protector. Psalms 36:7; 57:1; 91:4 17 Boaz showed great kindness to Ruth; perhaps his mother's influence had something to do with this. Matthew 1:5 – Her name was Rahab. 20 The words “closest relative” could be translated “redeemer” and is best understood as “kinsmen-redeemer”. The ESV translated it “one of our redeemers”. As a kinsman-redeemer, under the Mosaic Law, Boaz could fulfill the duty of preserving the name of the dead by marrying Ruth. The responsibilities of the redeemer included: Numbers 35:19 The word “revenger” is the same word “kinsman-redeemer”. He is to avenge the death of a murdered relative. Deuteronomy 25:5-10 He is to marry the childless widow of his deceased brother. 1 Timothy 5 25:25 He is to buy back family land that had been sold. 25:47-49 He is to buy a family member who had been sold as a slave. 25:35 He is to look after needy and helpless members of the family; let them live with you if need be. In all of this, we see the loving, compassionate Father caring for His children in need. Matthew 6:43-48 We are to be like God. Genesis 1:26-27 We are His image bearer, like Jesus. Hebrews 1:3The post Ruth 2 Doing Right first appeared on Living Hope.

In this episode, I sat down with Steven Kimmelman, a man who I hold very dear to my heart who embodies a breadth of wisdom and experience in healing and transformational modalities who has personally helped and guided me as well as countless others to uncover personal power, freedom, alignment in relationships and beyond. Based in Santa Rosa California and Maui, He is a lead facilitator at the COR experience as well as a men's coach focusing on relationships and communication and is fluent in the arts of intuition. Our conversation revolves around the importance of men reintegrating back into their healthy masculinity by tapping back into tribe and rites of passages and the ways we can access them through transformational work and beyond so we may show up fully amidst a modern society that has often lost these ancient ways as the impact of not having them becomes more and more apparent in the world, how taming our inner restrictive voice of fear through healing our wounds and tapping into our core humanity in community can vastly increase our creative flow state, Steven's unique take on intuition through accessing information from connected source energy, Pragmatic ways to navigate gracefully in partnerships and more. Returning the week of January 12th with 27 small groups, containing over 350 people, Home Church has a place for YOU! Home Church is all about Serving Together. Our Home Church Ministry values deep relationships as well as spiritual growth and here at Fellowship we believe that one of the best ways to foster this is through serving together. As people are serving together and building a common passion for others two things take place: those serving grow closer as they are on mission with one another, and our local community is impacted for the sake of the gospel. Our Home Churches serve our own body through many avenues and volunteer with our local ministry partners in various ways throughout the year. Serving is a key piece as we build community in the body of Christ. Fellowship’s desire is that everyone who calls Fellowship home connect relationally in a Home Church. We finish our discussion on Submit in Doing Right - if it isn't illegal or immoral, God has set us up to be in situations where we submit because it is the right thing to do regardless on how we might feel about the decision.

Byron and Steve discuss separating and losing children, humanity lacking and fixing government.
Jesus said the poor we will always have with us (Mrk. 14:7). Yet, throughout scripture, Christians are encouraged, even commanded to consider the poor and take up their cause. Proverbs 29:7 says, “The righteous considereth the cause of the poor…”. They poor are our neighbor and we are told, by Jesus, to love them as we love ourselves. The world, governments, and unsaved philanthropists have taken up the God given mandate to help the poor through charitable programs and humanitarian pursuits. The United States government itself declared, “war on poverty” in the late 1960’s, creating welfare programs to assist and help those in need. Some of the world’s solutions have helped and are of great benefit and Christians can learn from them. Other solutions, on the other hand, have made the problem worse or may even be counterproductive. In this liverecessionproofnow.com podcast, Part 3 of our series on Poverty in America, we discuss – What the World is Doing Right and Wrong to Address Poverty and What We can Learn from Them.
