It is very important. For every believer to walk in the will of God. And how do we understand that in a practical way, do the things that God has called you to do? Well, we are still in the book of Numbers in chapter 14. And we're going to see a conclusion of this chapter in this study. And again, we're going to find out that the children of Israel, they have not been faithful. We see a different word that is used here, now in English, we would translate this Hebrew word as something which is libel or slanderous. We have seen that the men of yevesh Gilad are under a threat, and we saw how Shaul the leader of Israel, how he wisely responded being led by the Spirit of God To follow prophetic truth in order to lead the people united against this threat of the evil one called nachash. Well, we're going to see that the children of Israel were certainly not faithful in the wilderness. Now, living in Israel, many times I share my faith with individuals, and they push back. That's fine. They're entitled to do that. That is their right. But one of the things that they say frequently is very problematic, and it shows a lack of awareness of the Word of God, because this is what frequently I hear, if Yeshua was truly the Messiah, do you think that our leaders, our people, would have rejected him? Even though Shaul was not a faithful King, we're going to see in this study, that he began in a most positive way. And the reason for that great success, initially is because he relied upon the Lord what God had provided to lead him in the direction of God's will. And there's a great message for us, and it's this, when we are believers, God will lead us, He will provide everything that we need in order to accomplish His will. Well, we saw last week that Moses, he heard from God, and he took the children of Israel, and he knew the task that God had given to them, to take possession of the land. Now we need to know something, that Israel being in the land is a requirement. We're going to see in this study that God felt very hurt by the people because they rejected the man of God. We are coming to a most interesting time within the book of Numbers, because the children of Israel, they have been in the wilderness for quite a period of time. And what do we see? We see that God wants to give them an incentive. He wants Moses to stand out spies. Now the spies that we're talking about are individuals who and don't miss this important point. They are leaders of each tribe, and therefore they should have been men of renown, those who are honest, those who could be relied upon, those who will speak truth. Our God is always faithful. And what I mean by that is this God never chooses someone for a purpose and then sets that one up for failure. Now, we can be assured of something, that every human being was created by God. Well, our theme in this portion of the Book of Numbers is going to be Passover. Now we're going to see that primarily Passover is in the first month on the Biblical calendar. We are called to always respect God and live in a way that manifests the fear of the Lord before him. And this is important, because if we're going to hear from God and serve God and be found faithful before God, we need to demonstrate a reverence for him in everything that we do. The people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, they suffered greatly. In the passage of scripture that we're going to learn from today, we're going to see that it speaks about worship. Our God is a God of judgment, and why does God judge? Because He's holy, righteous and faithful, and God's word reveals very clearly that the one who sins, that one will die. When we are going through a period of God's punishment or discipline, when we are experiencing His judgment upon us, it affects how we think and it affects how we believe.
