When you read the Word of God, you find that prophets are always rejected by the people. Even the religious leaders of Israel did not want to tolerate the prophets of the Lord. Why is that? In the scriptures, we find a very important question. And the question is, Is God the one true God? Is the only god of the Jewish people? And the answer is, No, he is not. When a person studies scripture, one needs to realize that everything that is written in the Word of God has been perfectly inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible makes it very clear that Yeshua died upon that cross on Passover. And biblically from the Book of Leviticus, chapter 23 we know something Passover, known also as the preparation day, is the 14th day of the first month on the Biblical calendar. Now you may not know this, but there is a tradition in Judaism, and that tradition is tied to the Scripture. Again, the psalm that we're going to be studying, Psalm 149 is a psalm about worship. Fact, many of the last few Psalms dealt just with that subject, worshiping God, praising God and giving thanks to God. And let me simply say that when we look at the word of God, whether it's in the Old Covenant or New Covenant, whether it's the law of Moses, whether it's prophecy, whether it's an epistle or a gospel, we need to honor the Word of God by translating it properly and not taking liberties with the text that we ought not because the word of God is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and it's only when we receive the Word of God as the Spirit inspired the Word of God to be then we can see God's order coming into our life, that we can understand His truth and we can respond to it.
