Well, again, we have seen last week that this chapter, and we're in Numbers, chapter 16, it begins with a group of people. Now most Bibles will call them a congregation, but if we pay attention to that word, a DA, it doesn't mean a congregation per se, but rather a group of witnesses. And why is that? Well, we are called to bear witness, not just by words we say, but primarily by behavior, by our actions, by our works. To donate please visit us at:https://loveisrael.org/donate/Checks may be sent to:LoveIsrael.org
The Disappearing Man in the Desert Our first story comes from David, who was working border patrol on a narcotics and human trafficking assignment near a river in the American Southwest. During what should have been a quiet night shift, David and his partner experienced something that would shake them both—three deliberate, hard knocks on their Humvee's driver's side window, despite no one being visible on their cameras or in the surrounding area. Our second story takes us to the California desert near the Mexican border, where Nevada and their family were on a routine jeeping trip in 2011. What started as a casual outing to take photos turned surreal when they witnessed a figure in a jumpsuit and motorcycle helmet falling from the sky with a half-inflated parachute, the body appearing limp and lifeless. Nevada's uncle, an EMT, grabbed his first aid kit and rushed to help, but when the family reached the spot where the parachuter should have landed behind a rock formation, they found only an abandoned parachute disconnected from any backpack—no person, no blood, no footprints, and no explanation for how someone could vanish so completely in the open desert. Finally, we explore Grace's harrowing experience in her coastal Rhode Island home, where light paranormal activity escalated dramatically when she turned 16, leading to a two-year ordeal involving severe depression, an eating disorder, and what her father believed was possession or oppression. Grace found herself compelled to sneak downstairs every night at midnight and sit frozen in the darkness until 3 AM, experiencing memory gaps and behaviors she couldn't explain—all while her family struggled with how to help her escape whatever had taken hold in their century-old house.
The Colorado real estate market in November 2025 is sending mixed signals. Denver sellers are pulling listings at the second-highest rate in the nation (39%), while prices somehow rose 2% year over year. Meanwhile, Colorado Springs faces a documented 27,000 unit shortage, yet new construction has dropped by half. Additionally, 91% of Denver homes show value declines on Zillow, but actual sales prices climbed higher in the November 2025 Colorado real estate market. Chris Lopez hosts the monthly Colorado market roundup with Jenny Bayless (Colorado Springs investor and agent), Brandon Scholten (Keyrenter Property Management CEO), and Troy Howell (Nova Home Loans senior loan officer). This panel breaks down November 2025 market data across both metros. Furthermore, they reveal what’s really happening beneath the surface of these contradictory trends. November 2025 Colorado Market Trends November brought sharp inventory changes across the Colorado real estate market. Specifically, new listings dropped 41% month over month in Denver and 36% in Colorado Springs. These represent typical seasonal patterns amplified by seller frustration. However, active inventory declined 15% in Denver but remains 13% higher than last year. Notably, transaction volume matches 2009 levels despite Denver’s population growing 30-40% since then. The panel discusses why Colorado Springs condo prices jumped 10% year over year while Denver condos fell 7%. Additionally, Troy shares details on closing a $720,000 Steamboat condo—one of the few condo transactions anyone’s seeing. Colorado Springs released a comprehensive housing assessment showing systemic affordability problems across all market segments in November 2025. The city documented that one-third of homeowners are cost-burdened. Moreover, renters need $78,000 annual income to comfortably afford the average $1,800 rent. Unfortunately, only one-third of renters earn that much. Building permits dropped from 9,000 units in 2020 to under 4,000 in 2024. In contrast, the city estimates needing 8,500 units annually. As a result, the panel debates potential solutions and why building costs make affordable housing nearly impossible without subsidies. Investment Opportunities and Market Predictions The Federal Reserve cut rates by another quarter point in November 2025. However, 30-year mortgages remain stuck at 6.2%. Troy explains why Fed actions don’t directly impact mortgage rates. Furthermore, he discusses what investors should expect heading into 2026. Meanwhile, Brandon shares a recent win with a fourplex in East Denver generating $2,270 monthly on midterm rentals versus $1,350 for long-term. This represents a 70% premium that’s helping investors squeeze better returns from existing inventory. Despite negative sentiment, the panel sees opportunity. With frustrated sellers, motivated buyers remain scarce. Additionally, transaction volume sits at multi-year lows. Nevertheless, December through February traditionally offers the best deals for patient investors. Chris, Jenny, Brandon, and Troy each predict where prices will land by December 2026. Their predictions range from “slightly negative” to “flat to fractionally improved.” Moreover, they discuss strategies for finding value in specific neighborhoods rather than chasing broad market trends. In This Episode We Cover: Why Denver ranks second nationally for sellers pulling listings (39% delist rate) and what this signals How Colorado Springs faces a 27,000 unit shortage despite vacant Class A apartments downtown The paradox of 91% of Denver homes showing value declines while actual sales prices rise 2% Why transaction volume matches 2009 levels but nobody’s talking about it What Federal Reserve rate cuts actually mean for mortgage rates (spoiler: not much) Specific neighborhoods and property types where deals are available right now How one investor is generating 70% more revenue with midterm rentals versus long-term Building permit data showing Colorado Springs at half the required supply to meet demand Where four market professionals predict prices will be in December 2026 Why December through February offers the best acquisition opportunities for 2026 Whether you’re hunting for your first Colorado rental property or managing a portfolio through choppy waters, this November 2025 market roundup delivers the specific data and local insights you need to make informed decisions. The panel’s predictions for 2026, combined with current opportunity identification, make this essential listening. Ultimately, anyone invested in the Colorado real estate market will benefit from these actionable insights and expert analysis. In "The Road Ahead: What Trimble Innovations Mean for Transportation", Joe Lynch and Jonah McIntire, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Trimble, discuss Trimble's open, scalable platform that connects every aspect of the supply chain—from trucks and drivers to the back office—by serving as a reliable "system of record" that integrates practical AI innovation to help fleets maximize performance, visibility, and safety. About Jonah McIntire Jonah McIntire is Chief Product and Technology Officer at Trimble. He joined Transporeon in June 2021 and quickly led a succession of larger product organisations in the sourcing & data insights areas of the company. Known for his broad international experience, having lived and worked in 13 countries, Jonah's prior experience includes running global logistics for Build-a-Bear Workshop, launching business units for Manhattan Associates and Panalpina, and writing a university textbook on supply chain visibility. He also founded two companies and led them to successful acquisitions: Clear Abacus, an early cloud computing transport optimisation solution acquired by GT Nexus; and TNX Logistics, a spot procurement data science SaaS acquired by Transporeon. He is also a regular guest author in industry journals, hosts the popular Logistics Tribe podcast, and maintains a widely read industry newsletter on logistics technology. About Trimble Transportation Trimble Transportation provides fleets with solutions to create a fully integrated supply chain. With an intelligent ecosystem of products and services, Trimble Transportation enables customers to embrace the rapid technological evolution of the industry and connect all aspects of transportation and logistics — trucks, drivers, back office, freight and assets. Trimble Transportation delivers an open, scalable platform to help customers make more informed decisions and maximize performance, visibility and safety. Key Takeaways: The Road Ahead: What Trimble Innovations Mean for Transportation In "The Road Ahead: What Trimble Innovations Mean for Transportation", Joe Lynch and Jonah McIntire, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Trimble, discuss Trimble's open, scalable platform that connects every aspect of the supply chain—from trucks and drivers to the back office—by serving as a reliable "system of record" that integrates practical AI innovation to help fleets maximize performance, visibility, and safety. The Responsibility of the Incumbent: Unlike startups that lead with "bombastic" promises, Trimble prioritizes its role as the foundational "system of record" for the world's largest supply chains, where stability and reliability are non-negotiable. A "Safety-First" AI Philosophy: Because Trimble's software manages critical infrastructure and multi-billion dollar logistics networks, their innovation roadmap is built on a "safety-first" framework to ensure no disruption to global commerce. The Three-Phase AI Maturity Model: Trimble is following a logical, tiered progression into the AI age: starting with internal adoption, moving to AI-enhanced features, and ultimately launching AI-native applications. "Eating Their Own Cooking": Before shipping AI solutions to customers, Trimble utilizes AI internally to refine the technology, ensuring they can provide honest, experience-based guidance to their partners. Enhancing the Proven vs. Chasing the New: A core pillar of their current strategy is adding AI-powered features to existing, trusted solutions (like TMW.Suite or TMT) to provide immediate value without requiring a total system overhaul. The Shift to AI-Native Applications: The next frontier for Trimble is the development of applications built from the ground up on AI architectures, designed to solve complex logistics problems that traditional logic-based software cannot. Prioritizing Practicality Over Hype: Trimble's focus remains squarely on the "practical uses" of AI—solving real-world friction in dispatch, maintenance, and routing—rather than following fleeting technology trends. Innovation as Change Management: Trimble recognizes that the hardest part of the AI transition isn't the code; it's the human element. Their strategy includes a heavy focus on onboarding, training, and building the "Customer Trust" necessary for long-term adoption. This week, Kate Molleson explores the life and music of Sergey Prokofiev – a composer whose imagination shaped some of the most vivid music of the 20th century. From childhood stories in rural Ukraine to bold experiments at the St Petersburg Conservatory, from revolutionary Russia to the bright lights of New York, and finally to his dramatic homecoming, Prokofiev's journey is full of ambition, upheaval and colour. This Day in Legal History: Entrapment as DefenseOn December 19, 1932, the U.S. Supreme Court decided Sorrells v. United States, a case that reshaped how American courts evaluate government conduct in criminal investigations. The case involved a Prohibition-era prosecution in which a federal agent repeatedly pressured the defendant to obtain illegal liquor. The Court held that criminal convictions should not stand when the government induces a crime that the defendant was not otherwise predisposed to commit. This decision formally recognized entrapment as a valid defense under federal law.Rather than focusing only on the defendant's actions, the Court emphasized the importance of limiting improper law enforcement tactics. The majority opinion reasoned that Congress could not have intended criminal statutes to be enforced through deception that manufactures crime. As a result, courts were instructed to examine whether the criminal intent originated with the government or the accused. The ruling reflected growing concern about aggressive policing methods during Prohibition. Over time, Sorrells became a foundational case cited whenever defendants challenge undercover operations. The decision also highlighted the judiciary's role in supervising executive conduct in criminal prosecutions. The Trump administration has suspended the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program—commonly known as the green card lottery—following two high-profile campus attacks. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the move, stating that the suspect in the fatal shootings of a Brown University student and an MIT professor had entered the U.S. through the program. The shooter, Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, a 48-year-old Portuguese national and former Brown student, was found dead in an apparent suicide. Noem said the pause is necessary to prevent further harm from what she called a “disastrous program.”The lottery program, which grants up to 50,000 green cards annually, has long been a target of Trump's immigration agenda, which links violent incidents to immigration policy failures. This suspension follows earlier actions by the administration, including visa restrictions after a separate shooting by an Afghan national and a proposal to impose a $100,000 application fee for H-1B work visas, which are heavily used in the tech industry.Trump's broader immigration crackdown also includes enhanced social media vetting for tourists, expanded ICE operations in major cities, and the development of large-scale immigration detention centers known as “mega centers.” These moves align with Trump's campaign promises to tighten border controls and execute large-scale deportations.Trump Suspends US Green Card Lottery After Brown, MIT AttacksTrump administration officials are scrambling to meet a Friday deadline to release a large cache of documents related to the Justice Department's investigations into Jeffrey Epstein. The release was mandated by a recently passed law, supported by both parties in Congress, following months of political pressure and public frustration over the administration's resistance to transparency. Though President Trump initially opposed the legislation, he reversed course shortly before the vote amid growing dissent from his own supporters. The new law permits the Justice Department to withhold certain details, including victims' identities and information tied to ongoing investigations. Attorneys in the department's National Security Division have been racing to redact sensitive data, raising internal concerns about the risk of mistakes, especially regarding private information. The tight timeline has disrupted other DOJ casework since Thanksgiving.Trump's handling of the Epstein matter has dented his support among Republicans, with only 44% approving of his actions, according to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll. This contrasts sharply with his broader 82% approval within the party. Critics argue that Trump's past friendship with Epstein and his failure to follow through on a 2024 campaign promise to declassify the records have fueled suspicions of a cover-up. While Trump has denied knowledge of Epstein's crimes and has not been accused of wrongdoing, past email disclosures have added to the controversy. As more emails emerge—some implying Trump's involvement, others suggesting no direct misconduct—the administration has tried to redirect attention toward figures like Bill Clinton and JPMorgan. But with midterms approaching, the Epstein file release may remain a political liability.Trump administration officials race to meet Friday deadline for Epstein files | ReutersWisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan was found guilty of obstructing a federal proceeding for aiding a migrant in avoiding an immigration arrest at the courthouse, marking a significant legal win for the Trump administration's intensified immigration enforcement efforts. The jury acquitted Dugan on a lesser charge of concealing a person from arrest but convicted her on the more serious obstruction count. The case is part of a broader Justice Department campaign targeting local officials accused of interfering with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.Prosecutors alleged that in 2023, Dugan helped Mexican national Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, who faced domestic violence charges, avoid a planned ICE arrest by rerouting him and his lawyer through a restricted exit after confronting ICE agents stationed near her courtroom. Dugan, a former head of Catholic Charities and longtime legal aid attorney, argued she was following internal court policies meant to manage ICE activity in courthouses, especially after prior arrests caused confusion and concern.Flores-Ruiz was ultimately arrested outside the courthouse after a brief chase. The Justice Department framed the case as a message that even judges are not above the law when it comes to obstructing federal immigration enforcement. Critics, however, view courthouse arrests as damaging to the legal system's integrity, potentially deterring vulnerable individuals from seeking legal protection.Judge found guilty of obstructing arrest in Trump immigration crackdown | ReutersIn a piece I wrote for Forbes earlier this week, I take down yet another One Big Beautiful Bill Act tax “reform” that, upon closer examination, isn't as great a deal as it may first seem.Starting in 2025, a new federal tax deduction allows taxpayers to deduct up to $10,000 in interest on qualifying new car loans—but only under strict conditions. The car must be newly purchased (not leased or used), assembled in the U.S., and not used for business purposes. The deduction phases out for individuals earning over $100,000 and joint filers over $200,000, narrowing its reach to a slim demographic of middle- to upper-middle-income earners. While promoted as consumer relief amid high car prices and interest rates, critics argue it's a veiled subsidy for automakers, not a meaningful economic benefit for struggling Americans. The policy resembles the mortgage interest deduction, which has long been criticized for inflating home prices and disproportionately benefiting wealthier borrowers. Similarly, this car loan deduction doesn't lower car costs—it subsidizes borrowing, pushing consumers toward pricier new vehicles and encouraging debt accumulation. The IRS will also gain new data from lenders, who must now report annual interest paid, further expanding government oversight.Despite the flashy $10,000 cap, few borrowers will come close to that threshold. A typical new car loan might yield only a $600 annual tax benefit—negligible compared to high monthly payments and rapid depreciation. Rather than meaningful relief, the policy appears to be more of a political gesture, using tax code tweaks to create the illusion of support while primarily serving industry interests.‘No Tax On Car Loan Interest'—Tax Reform Or Facade? This week's closing theme is by Louis-Nicolas Clérambault. This week's closing theme comes from Clérambault, a French Baroque composer born on December 19, 1676, whose music captures the elegance and structure of early 18th-century Paris. Clérambault is best known today for his sacred cantatas and his refined works for keyboard and chamber ensemble. He spent much of his career as an organist, serving at prominent Paris churches and developing a style that balanced expressive melody with formal clarity. His music reflects the French taste for ornamentation while remaining grounded and disciplined. The piece featured here is Suite du premier ton: V. Basse et Dessus de Trompette, presented in a complete performance. This movement highlights the contrast between a strong bass line and a bright, trumpet-like upper voice, a hallmark of French Baroque color and texture. Rather than showcasing virtuosity for its own sake, the music emphasizes balance and conversation between parts. The result is confident and ceremonial, yet never overstated. As a closing theme, this work offers a sense of order and resolution, bringing the week to a measured and dignified close. Clérambault's writing reminds us that Baroque music was as much about structure and purpose as it was about beauty. His music endures because it is clear, expressive, and carefully crafted. Ending the week with this piece is a quiet nod to tradition, discipline, and lasting musical craft.Without further ado, Louis-Nicolas Clérambault's Suite du premier ton: V. Basse et Dessus de Trompette–enjoy! This is a public episode. If you'd like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit www.minimumcomp.com/subscribe

Your 401 might look fine at a glance, but the details can quietly reshape your risk and returns. We dig into how to read what you actually own, why two target date funds with the same year can behave very differently, and the real cost of fees that compound against you. From checking equity exposure to comparing expense ratios, we share practical ways to tighten your plan without adding complexity. We walk through diversification that goes beyond the S&P 500, including international and bonds that can cushion shocks and capture leadership shifts. You'll hear why a once-a-year rebalance helps keep risk steady, how to spot duplicate funds that do the same job, and when index options can deliver similar exposure at a fraction of the cost. If you use model portfolios, we explain the difference between fee-based managed options and no-additional-cost models, plus the gotcha that can reset your choices during the next scheduled rebalance. Most importantly, we break down the “two-step tango” for fixing allocations: change both your future contributions and your existing balance so your risk level matches your plan today. That single move prevents drift, aligns your portfolio with your goals, and makes every paycheck work harder. Before you log out, consider a small bump to your contribution rate to harness compounding and employer matches. If this helped clarify your 401, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs a checkup, and leave a quick review so others can find it. In this special roundtable episode, Katie Cline (Suite Success) brings together some of the most influential voices in hospitality podcasting for an unfiltered reflection on the moments, movements, and hard truths that shaped 2025 — and what operators should be paying attention to as the industry looks toward 2026. The conversation features yours truly, Zach Busekrus (Behind the Stays), David Millili and Steve Carran (The Modern Hotelier), and Glenn Haussman (No Vacancy). Together, they move past headlines and hot takes to examine what's really happening behind the scenes of hospitality today. Drawing on hundreds of candid conversations with founders, operators, and industry leaders, the group explores luxury's continued ascent, the evolving (and often conflicted) state of loyalty, where AI delivered meaningful impact—and where it fell short—along with trade show fatigue, shifting guest expectations, and the creative ways operators protected profitability in a challenging year. This episode isn't about predictions for prediction's sake. It's a grounded, experience-driven discussion for hospitality leaders who want to understand not just what changed in 2025, but why it mattered — and how those lessons will shape smarter, more resilient businesses in the year ahead.
Well, our theme for tonight's study is one of rebelliousness, and we're going to see that there's a group of individuals, and they are a very significant group. First of all, there were 250 of them, and they were men of reputation. Some Bibles will say men of renown. And what we see here is that they were not just simple individuals, but they represented the leaders of Israel, and they were being rebellious against the order that God Himself had set up. We meet Sabrina, a writer who penned a glowing piece about the books. As a result, she's chosen to ghostwrite a memoir and is put up at the Grand Fairbanks Hotel in the legendary Cordelia Suite — a very big deal. She meets Grayson Westcott, the man who hired her. She'll be interviewing him about his life as an art broker and writing his memoir, but she only has until Christmas Eve to gather everything she needs. One night, while working late, Sabrina craves a sandwich. She calls down to the bar, runs in, and starts eating the first sandwich she sees — which turns out to belong to Ian, who's sitting nearby. He doesn't mind at all and clearly wants to keep talking, but the bar is closing. Maybe another time. The next day, Sabrina continues interviewing Grayson and learns that he was once Hazel Holly's butler at this very hotel. He's hesitant to talk about that part of his life, but when he opens up, she's completely captivated.Later, she runs into Ian again and they grab coffee. He tells her he works for a charity and that it's his first time in the city. What Sabrina doesn't know is that he actually works for the royal family — something he's keeping very quiet. After overhearing a conversation at dinner, she mistakenly assumes he is royalty. Could he be Lord Braxton? She keeps her suspicions to herself as they continue spending time together and sparks fly.Ian suddenly has to leave town to make sure Lord Braxton doesn't marry a woman he just met. They reunite at the Christmas ball, where they dance and share a magical evening — until Ian notices Lord Braxton leaving early and has to follow him. He does return for a kiss first, though. Sabrina is both smitten and increasingly frustrated by how Ian disappears without warning. For various reasons, Sabrina never quite asks him outright if he's Lord Braxton, and Ian never tells her that he works for the royal family. When she joins him at a charity event, she's having a great time — until she spots a jewelry box in his bag. Lord Braxton is known for proposing quickly… is Ian about to propose to her?During a dinner date, Sabrina finally admits she thinks he's Lord Braxton — but before Ian can explain, he's called away again. After hearing more of Grayson's story, Sabrina decides to end things before Ian can break her heart. Grayson is baffled and basically says, “How on earth did you get that from my story?!”Sabrina attends a gala and finally learns the truth: Ian is not Lord Braxton. Overwhelmed, she storms out. After more conversations with Grayson, he encourages her to rethink everything.Speaking of Grayson, Sabrina reunites him with his long-lost love, Charlotte — who is Lady Braxton. Grayson insists he's too old for love, but Sabrina shuts that down immediately. They rush to see each other, and it's beautiful.Sabrina races to find Ian, but she's told he's already left for the airport — except he hasn't. He stayed because he's fallen for her. He gives her the jewelry box, revealing not an engagement ring, but a snowflake necklace. They talk things through, make up, and he tells her he's moving to the States to expand the charity. They kiss — big ones. The movie ends with Grayson and Lady Braxton getting married. At their wedding, we see that Ian and Sabrina are engaged. She talks with Grayson more and he encoruages her to think about things a bit more. Herb Shirmer Alien Abduction | Paranormal Podcast In this episode, we explore one of the most detailed and credible alien abduction cases from the 1960s—the extraordinary encounter of Herb Schirmer, a 22-year-old police officer in Ashland, Nebraska. On December 3, 1967, during a routine midnight patrol after wrangling an escaped bull back into its pen, Schirmer spotted flashing red lights at the junction of Highway 6 and 63. What he initially thought was a broken-down truck revealed itself to be something far more extraordinary: a metallic, disc-shaped craft hovering just feet above the road. Within moments of shining his high beams on the object, Schirmer's world changed forever, leading to a documented 20-25 minute time gap that he couldn't account for—and physical evidence in the form of a mysterious red welt on his neck that appeared exactly where he would later recall being touched by an alien device. Through hypnotic regression sessions with Dr. R. Leo Sprinkle years later, Schirmer recovered detailed memories of what happened during those missing minutes, including being taken aboard the craft by gray-suited beings with cat-like eyes and communication antennas. The entities revealed shocking information about their surveillance activities on Earth, their breeding analysis program, and their mission to prevent humanity from destroying the planet—even demonstrating how they extract electrical power from transmission lines.
House hacking in Colorado just paid off for 30-year-old Carly Caprio. She’s living for free in a Lakewood fourplex after completing her fourth house hack in 2025. Even better? When she moves out next year, this property will generate over $2,500 in monthly profit while she continues building her portfolio toward early retirement. Chris Lopez sits down with Carly Caprio, one of the most disciplined house hackers in Colorado, alongside regular panelists Jeff White (Envision Advisors) and Troy Howell (Nova Home Loans). Carly’s journey started with a $17,500 first-time buyer grant that made her first townhouse purchase possible despite working a nonprofit job. Since then, she’s converted properties from 3 to 5 bedrooms and 5 to 6 bedrooms, navigated challenging tenants including paranoid relapses and 3am emergency calls, pivoted to Section 8 when needed, and most recently locked up an all-brick Lakewood fourplex for $849,500 with just 5% down. What makes Carly’s story particularly compelling is her rock-solid financial discipline. Troy Howell confirms she’s increased her savings dramatically between properties while maintaining zero car payments and living below her means. The result? She’s already matched her W2 income through rental cash flow and qualified for progressively larger properties without any salary increases. Her fourplex currently rents three units at $1,750 each while she lives for essentially free in the fourth unit. Once she moves out, the projected income jumps to $7,780 monthly against a $5,454 mortgage payment. Jeff White calls Carly his “Mount Rushmore” house hacker for good reason. She didn’t chase trendy strategies or overextend herself. Instead, she executed the same proven playbook four times, learning from each property and improving her systems. When faced with disastrous tenants (one who stood in doorways watching people sleep, another who drank two bottles of tequila and one bottle of vodka within 48 hours), she adapted her screening process and converted to Section 8 rather than quitting. When friends expressed fear about living with strangers, she demonstrated how to maintain control over tenant selection while building serious wealth. In This Episode We Cover: $17,500 first-time buyer grant that launched Carly’s 4-property portfolio Why 2-4 unit properties are easier to qualify for than single-family homes How debt-to-income improves with each house hack (no salary increase needed) Converting 3-bed townhouse to 5-bed using existing egress windows Managing terrible tenants and when to pivot from rent-by-room to Section 8 $849,500 Lakewood fourplex breakdown: 5% down, 6% rate, $1,750/unit rents Living free now vs $2,500 monthly profit when she moves out Financial discipline tactics that matched her W2 income in three years Why the first property is hardest and subsequent deals get easier Female investor perspectives on safety and building wealth through house hacking And So Much More! Carly’s story proves house hacking in Colorado isn’t dead despite 6% interest rates and higher property prices in 2025. With the right financing strategy, disciplined savings habits, and willingness to sacrifice short-term comfort for long-term wealth, reaching financial freedom in your 30s remains achievable. Whether you’re a woman considering your first house hack or an experienced investor looking for inspiration, Carly’s methodical approach and honest discussion of challenges offers a realistic roadmap. Today we're going to continue our study of this battle between the Philistines and the children of Israel. And we saw last time that there was an emphasis on two individuals. The first one was Yonatan, that is Jonathan, the son of Shaul, and also the one who carries the instruments most Bibles will say, the armor of Jonathan. What we find is that these two men were very influential in bringing about a victory for the children of Israel.

Her catalogue includes more than 50 albums.A passionate advocate for education, Jenny created “Melody's Mostly Musical Day“, a musical album and picture book for children, following the adventures of an imaginative little girl from breakfast to bedtime, told in a collection of 26 classical piano works from Mozart to Gershwin. We'll hear some of these in this episode.Fluent in English, German, Mandarin, and French, Jenny Lin studied Noel Flores at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna, with Julian Martin at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, and with Dominique Weber in Geneva. She has also worked with Leon Fleisher, Richard Goode, and Blanca Uribe, and at Italy's Fondazione Internazionale per il pianoforte with Dimitri Bashkirov and Andreas Staier. We're heading to the Land Of Sweets this week and reviewing The Nutcracker ballet, an annual seasonal staple around the globe! The 1892 ballet proved to be Pyotr Tchaikovsky's swansong, serving as a capstone on a composing career that brought Russian music to western audiences. Today, the ballet brings in more than $50 million in annual ticket sales to support dance companies and education... but what made it so popular in the first place? Sure, it features iconic songs like the March, the Russian Dance, and the Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy, but the remarkable history of The Nutcracker goes deeper than we realized!James & Connor are talking holiday traditions! We look at the ballet's striking stats, meet Connor's (actual) 5'11" nutcracker Nick and the world's LARGEST functional nutcracker, and talk about some idiosyncrasies between different adaptations of the ballet. We'll explore Tchaikovsky's legendary career, from the 1812 Overture to Swan Lake. The Mixtaper has lost his head with some 19th-century Fact Or Spin tidbits about superstitions, giant bees, and grand theft Celesta during the Waltz Of The Dastard. Then we learn what sugar plums actually are and share our thoughts on the plot, characters, and music that make up this Christmas classic!Have you seen The Nutcracker live? What's your favorite version of the ending? Have you ever had a sugar plum?! And... how do you decorate your tree? Let us know in the comments or on any of our social media! Happy Throwback Thursday and welcome to another installment of the Throwback Files, where we go back and revisit old episodes. This month, we are revisiting the popular Flatwoods Monster. About the Flatwoods Monster On September 12, 1952, two brothers and their friend witnessed a bright object cross the sky and land on a local farm in Flatwoods, West Virginia, prompting them to investigate the site with family members and neighbors. The group encountered a tall, man-like figure described as approximately 10 feet tall with a round, blood-red face, a pointed hood-like shape, glowing eye-like features emitting greenish-orange light, and small claw-like hands. When the creature made a hissing sound and moved toward them, the terrified witnesses fled the scene, later reporting a pungent mist that caused nausea in some members of the group. While local law enforcement found no evidence during their investigation, claims of skid marks and an unusual gummy deposit at the site the following day fueled speculation about a UFO landing among enthusiast groups. The incident generated massive national media attention, with the story ranking as the 11th biggest news story of 1952 and drawing investigators from across the country, including prominent UFO researchers Gray Barker and Ivan T. Sanderson.
In "Trimble's Perspective: The Future of Freight is Connected", Joe Lynch and Rob Painter, Trimble's President and Chief Executive Officer, discuss how Trimble connects the freight ecosystem—people, data, and workflows—to navigate the difficult truckload market and drive customer efficiency using AI and integrated commercial solutions. About Rob Painter Rob Painter became Trimble's president and chief executive officer in January 2020. From 2016 through 2019, he served as the Company's chief financial officer. Joining the Company in 2006, Painter held a variety of leadership positions, including corporate development, corporate strategy, general manager of Construction Services, general manager of the Intelligent Construction Tools international joint venture, and vice president of Trimble Buildings construction software. In August 2023, he was appointed to serve on the Synopsys Board of Directors. Painter holds a bachelor's degree in finance from West Virginia University and an MBA from Harvard University. Key Takeaways: Trimble's Perspective: The Future of Freight is Connected In "Trimble's Perspective: The Future of Freight is Connected", Joe Lynch and Rob Painter, Trimble's President and Chief Executive Officer, discuss how Trimble connects the freight ecosystem—people, data, and workflows—to navigate the difficult truckload market and drive customer efficiency using AI and integrated commercial solutions. Holistic Solution for a Difficult Truckload Market: Trimble's T&L segment directly addresses the pressures of the current truckload market by providing core operational platforms (TMW.Suite, TruckMate) to help carriers, shippers, and brokers manage operations, accounting, and dispatch, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost control when margins are tight. Driving Strategy with the Connect & Scale Message: The entire product portfolio—spanning TMS, maintenance, visibility, and procurement—is structured to embody Trimble's "Connect & Scale" message, which focuses on integrating people, data, and workflows into a unified ecosystem to drive growth and efficiency. AI-Powered Autonomous Freight Procurement: Trimble is leveraging AI within its Freight Procurement solutions (Transporeon, Freight Marketplace) to move toward autonomous procurement. This helps shippers and brokers efficiently source capacity and optimize freight spend in real-time, which is critical in a volatile capacity environment. Commercial Mapping for Efficiency and Safety: Essential tools like Trimble MAPS (CoPilot, Appian) go beyond basic navigation. They provide commercial-grade routing that accounts for truck-specific constraints and HOS, acting as a crucial element in optimizing routes and protecting drivers (part of the people and workflow components of Connect & Scale). TMS as the Core Workflow Integrator: Comprehensive Transportation Management Systems (TMS) platforms like TMW.Suite act as the central brain for workflows, integrating data across the business from operations to financial accounting, which is foundational to the "Scale" component of Trimble's strategy. Proactive Maintenance and Data Connectivity: Solutions for Asset & Fleet Maintenance focus on maximizing uptime—a key lever in today's market. By using data from connected trucks (fault codes, location) for preventative and predictive maintenance, they ensure assets remain productive and reduce unexpected downtime. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Mitigation (People & Data): The Safety & Compliance offerings help fleets mitigate risk and adhere to federal regulations, ensuring the safety and legal operation of their people (drivers) and assets, proving that technology is essential for responsible management and effective use of operational data. In this month's Terrified Together, we welcome content creator Wheezy to discuss her journey from bored TikTok skeptic to successful multi-platform creator known for her screaming car videos, Pringles can bits, and authentic personality. We dove into two deeply unsettling listener-submitted stories that both dealt with entities appearing at life's thresholds. The first came from Anna, a healthcare worker in Alabama who witnessed an otherworldly presence while working at a long-term care facility—an inky, shapeless entity with a glowing white center that appeared to be watching over an elderly patient entering the dying process. The second story, submitted by Clara from Alberta, Canada, detailed her late mother's lifelong encounters with what she called her "angel"—a being that transformed from a bright, triangular shape in childhood to a terrifying green-skinned figure with sunken eyes and a gaping jaw by adulthood. This entity appeared before every major move in her mother's life, ultimately manifesting constantly in her final home before she passed away at just 44 years old, raising haunting questions about whether this presence was a guardian, a harbinger, or something far more sinister. Wheezy shared her own paranormal experiences, including an eerie encounter with her clairvoyant friend who somehow knew the name "Henry"—the exact name Wheezy had secretly given to a mysterious entity that had been turning on TVs and flickering lights in her previous home. Beyond the paranormal, we explored Wheezy's upcoming short horror film project "The Boogeyman," her first acting opportunity, and how she's built genuine friendships within the content creation world despite the industry's often transactional nature. You can support the short horror film project here.
