Joy from the Spirit is greater than our circumstances
Galatians 5 tells us to keep in step with the Spirit.
Be careful of the small things that can eclipse the things of God in your life.
Because of the resurrection, we have hope beyond this world and this life.
In Luke 12, Jesus warns us to watch out for all kinds of greed. May we seek to do things that make us rich toward God.
May we always remember to value and love the people in our lives. This is way more than sports. It's all about people! A reminder to be grateful for the things we take for granted every day, and to always be looking for ways to bless others. We have an opportunity to provide a practice facility for our amazing basketball teams in Mombasa, Kenya. Both the girls and boys teams are the 2nd best in their state, and this is without having a place to practice! We are looking to raise $2,000 for the facility and equipment. Join us in praying for the ISA Saints in Mombasa. You can contribute to this project at http://isasports.org/give and choose “Kenya Basketball.”

This week, we conclude our mini-series on David and Goliath. Be encouraged.
Be who God called you to be using the tools you have now.
We're continuing to look at the life of David in 1 Samuel 17, where the Israelites have agreed to the terms & conditions of the enemy, but David does not listen to the discouragers.
As we continue to look at 1 Samuel 16, we see how David's gifts ushered him into the fulfillment of God's promise. Don't neglect the gifts God has given you while you wait for the next.
In this week's teaching from 1 Samuel, we see that God chose David even when everyone else rejected him. Our validation must come from the Lord.
Join us in thanking God for these lives being changed and souls coming to Christ through your support of the International Sports Academy! http://ISAsports.org/give

This week's teaching from James 4:14 reminds us that life is short. Our focus needs to be on eternal things.
Let's be clear about who our real enemy is and refuse to hate our neighbors.
Meekness and strength are not mutually exclusive. Matthew 5:5 is a call to be gentle. We can only be gentle and defend those who are weaker when we are confident in who we are in Christ, and when we trust in the Lord to defend us.
This week's teaching comes from Romans 12:2. If you want transformation in your life, you can't just look for validation for what you already believe. May we seek information to transform us by the renewing of our mind.
