"Out of Chaos" is the third show devised by Adelaide circus company Gravity and Other Myths and is half way through its six-month season at Berlin's famous Chamäleon Theater. A riveting and nail-biting spectacle, the cast of 8 circus artists and 1 musician take the audience on a journey through the ages and into dimensions that bend our perception of time, space and the physical state of order and chaos. We sat down with cast members Martin Schreiber, Dylan Phillips and Amanda Lee who shared some insight into the world of circus and their current season at the Chamäleon. In the relatively short time span that Andrew Green has called Berlin home he is certainly making a positive mark! Having lived in several places around the world and with a background in business, Greenie, as he is known affectionately by his friends, is living up to this nickname in an innovative way with his new start-up initiative WunderTree. It costs Berlin around €1 Million to collect up to 400,000 dead Christmas trees each year to be burnt. WunderTree is aiming to decrease this waste of a valuable natural resource by delivering trees FOR FREE and collecting them after Christmas to replant in Brandenburg's forests, helping to combat climate change. Aussie muso Youka Manuka hails from Port Douglas in far north Queensland, with roots in Japan and New Zealand. It's no surprise her mixed cultural heritage has influenced her musical style and abilities. Since moving to Berlin with her music producer boyfriend, they formed electronic group "Killbot Kindergarten". Youka is also talented violin and shamisen player where she's involved in the Japanese community performing with the Mitsune Trio.
