Guest: Chase Williamswww.Chaselynnfitness.comInstagram: ChaseLynn252Chase is an experienced personal trainer, coach & fitness professional for over 11 years. She was recognized in ‘Houston Chronicle” for one of top 50 trainers in Houston on the cover of her hometown magazine and was the top 10% of the trainers in her previous company partnership. She is currently the owner and founder of Chaselynn Fitness, an online coaching program for high achieving moms helping them find sustainability in their fitness routine to create a household of health”Chase has proven herself to be successful in her personal and professional life but just like most of us, including myself, she had to find her way and figure out how to balance mom life, while pursuing her dreams, and remembering to practice self care. I thinks so many moms can relate to trying to find balance in their lives, especially when it comes to staying consistent with their health & fitness goals.Lucky for me, and you all as my listeners, we get to hear first hand from Chase herself on how she made it all happen and how you can too.

In the process of self reflection, I learned the only way to figure out what I'm building and work towards, is to understand what I'm fighting so hard against. We can't fully build or work towards a goal if we don't truly know why we are doing it. We also can't truly understand who we want to be or who we are in life if we don't let go of everything we are not. This is called reverse engineering This episode, you will learn how to use this skill and apply it to your own life.2 key key points to note are breaking free mediocrity and creating a powerhouse mindset

Knowing how and what to invest your time and energy into, to get the highest return is key for having a good quality of life, now apply this to putting your time an energy into your purpose and creativity.Listen in on how I've been living in the middle of a linear life and non linear life and how I've been experiencing the best of both worlds. There is some great insight included from Matt Gottesman- he is the king of spending his time with intention, with being creative and building his business the non linear way.
Instagram: @Skipthesmalltalk_podcastWhen you think about the term ROI, most people will know what this means from a financial perspective. I don't think you need to be an expert in finances to understand that we always want the highest and most positive return on the money we invest, or at the very least we want to make sure that we get back what we put in, to break even. Obviously we never want to lose money or get back a negative return. Think about how frustrating it is or what inconveniences it costs us, when we lose money or we waste money. Now take that some exact concept and scenario and apply it to your time and energy. Why not place your time and energy with just as high of a value as the money you have in the bank. Why not be careful and intentional with it? Why do we give it away or waste it so freely. You can't see time, but I'll tell you something, the quality of our lives eventually becomes what we have to show for how we chose to spend our time, and if we are not intentional enough with how we spend our time, our life will eventually reflect it.If we continue to feed the narrative in our mind that tells us we "don't have time", then we never will, but if we begin to analyze and readjust how we invest our time & energy, we will have a better return.Guest Speaker: Matt GottesmanWebsite: mattgottesman.comWebsite: systemsoverhustle.comEmail: matt@mattgottesman.comPodcast: Hustle Sold SeparatelyInstagram: @mattgottesmanInstagram: @hdfmagazineMore Social: LinkedIn + FacebookLinks Mentioned:Parkinson's law:https://www.lifehack.org/articles/featured/how-to-use-parkinsons-law-to-your-advantage.htmlhttps://weje.io/blog/parkinsons-law
If you have ever thought about leaving the corporate world , or if you have a creative side and something you're passionate about, but don't know how to get started then this is the episode for you.Too often we fall into society's playbook of what we should be doing, and we get lost in routine and outside noise, that we forget to look inward and we start losing our vibrance, our energy and our zest… the 9-5 corporate world has made me slowly lose all that, but luckily it didn't disappear, and I started making time to learn and get myself into little things that I enjoy, which is now leading me into a different path career wise. I used to have a mentality where I felt like I had to choose one thing and do that for the rest of my life, but when happens when your values change and you life changes, and your job no longer aligns with you?It means you become more open minded and learn how to give energy and time to something else. This doesn't happen over night, but it won't happen at all if you don't at least try.Slowly but surely, I'm creating a life for myself and my family, and not just settling for the norm, or like I call it, the mediocre ...and if I can do it you can too.Links:https://www.forbes.com/sites/ellevate/2017/07/10/the-5-stages-to-living-your-passion/?sh=1531ca8443beBlog:https://skipthesmalltalkpodcast.blogspot.com/?m=1
This episode was my most exciting thus far because I was lucky enough to have connected with someone inspiring and insightful. Dayana & I discussed everything from following your passions & dreams, to trusting your intuition and prioritizing self growth and self care. Dayana shared her knowledge and expertise on what it means to raise your vibrations, which help us navigate through life a lot easier, as well as attract people and opportunities in our life. These things we speak about are the actual definition of "LIVING MY BEST LIFE".https://skipthesmalltalkpodcast.blogspot.com - Click the link to my blog for access to Dayana's website, free guide and the example of the wheel of emotions chart we discussed
There are many factors that go into having a good life, and the quality of our friendships, relationships and interactions with other people are a big part of that. We live in a world that is very consumed by connections online and through social media platforms, and those interactions have en effect on us, just as those in our actual lives. Sometimes we outgrow people, or they don't align with us anymore, other times, their connection to us becomes toxic and while we are dealing with that in our real lives, we are simultaneously taking in the constant communications and interactions with people online. It's important to pay attention to the red flags in our friendships and relationships, and learn to let go of what does not serve us while we make room for newer and better connections and removing people from social media as well. Some people will stay with us for.a life time, and others for only a season, but knowing where to place them, or when to let go is the important part.Blog: https://skipthesmalltalkpodcast.blogspot.com/?m=1
Living my life in alignment with my values has served me far more than blindly chasing happiness that society pressures us to do. Having moments of feeling disconnected was a driving force for me to do inner work. On that journey I realized how much realignment I needed.Link to blog with activity: https://skipthesmalltalkpodcast.blogspot.com/?m=1
01. A reminder to myself of why I started, and a motivation for you to get started on whatever you're trying to achieve. Learning to play it big in all parts of my life.
I think sometimes we underestimate how much power exists in doing self work, having deep conversations and feeding our minds with something valuable. Most of us can relate to the fact that we all live busy lives and don't have time to stop and read or watch but there's always time to listen. I want this to be a place of connection, insight, motivation, and perspective for those who want to join me on my journey of living a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. My episodes will bring you real talk.I get personal and bring you into my world, particularly on my journey of self growth, married life, motherhood and everything in between. I'm here to have fun, be insightful, relatable and share things with everyone on this journey with me. I'm not here to teach anyone how to live their life, but I like to think that I do give some pretty good advice from time to time.
