By Thursday you've missed two sessions, eaten cereal for dinner, and you're already mentally drafting your "starting over Monday" speech.Sound familiar? You're not failing. You're stuck in a cycle that was never designed for your actual life.In this episode, we're breaking down why "good enough" fitness isn't a consolation prize it's actually the most strategic, sustainable, and sane approach to health for busy moms who are already doing a million other things at a very high level. If you're a high-achieving woman over 35 who has tried every program, followed every plan, and still feels like you're behind  this one's for you.In this episode we cover:Why the all-or-nothing fitness mindset is keeping you stuck, and why it hits harder for high-achieversWhat "good enough" fitness actually looks like in practice (hint: it's more than you think)How to stop letting a missed workout derail your entire weekWhy consistency always beats perfection when it comes to long-term resultsHow to build a sustainable fitness routine that works around your real life  not the life you wish you had (or you used to have before kiddos)What your kids are actually learning by watching your relationship with exercise and foodThe mindset shift that changes everything: measuring yourself against your own life, not someone else's highlight reelWho this episode is for: This episode is for the busy working mom who is killing it in every other area of her life and somehow still feels like she's failing at fitness. If you've ever thought "I just need to be more disciplined”,  I want to offer you a completely different frame.Key Takeaways:Good enough fitness is not mediocre fitness. It is sustainable fitness. And sustainable is the only kind that actually works.A 20-minute workout you actually do beats the 60-minute workout you keep skipping. The all-or-nothing cycle : perfect week, blowout week, shame spiral, start over Monday  is broken by flexibility, not more willpower.Your fitness routine should fit your life. Not the other way around.Consistency over time is what produces results. Not intensity. Not perfection.Ready to stop starting over? You've got two ways to take the next step. When you wake up in the morning, what gets you out of bed? What actually starts your day?  A few days ago, as I was getting going, I found myself thinking about those questions. And if I'm honest, most mornings as moms, our feet hit the floor and our minds immediately fill with to-do lists, responsibilities, and everything we need to manage that day.  For so many moms, it's not just tasks—it's the weight of it all. Feelings of overwhelm, loneliness, anxiety, or even quiet discouragement can creep in before the day has really begun. And instead of looking forward to the day, we find ourselves just trying to get through it.  But what if it didn't have to feel that way?  What if we could wake up with a different perspective—even if the to-do list stayed the same?  What if we could reconnect with the things God created us to do and actually enjoy moments in our day, instead of counting down until bedtime? That's what we're going to talk about today—why perspective matters so much, how it shapes our days, and how small shifts can help us move from survival mode to living with more purpose, peace, and joy in this season.  So grab your coffee or tea, take a deep breath, and let's get started. Hi Mamas, Download my free guide: ✨ ChatGPT Prompts Made Simple for Moms ✨ If you've ever felt overwhelmed, stretched thin, or emotionally exhausted… but couldn't point to one specific reason… this episode is for you. In this Monday Mindset episode, we're unpacking a powerful truth inspired by a Benjamin Franklin quote: “Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship.” While this quote is often applied to money, it speaks just as loudly to time, energy, and mental load… especially for working moms. Because most overwhelm doesn't come from one big mistake. It comes from dozens of tiny drains we barely notice. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why small, habitual “leaks” create big stress over time • How convenience, obligation, and default decisions quietly drain you • Why awareness… not guilt… is the key to sustainable change • How to stop judging yourself and start noticing patterns • A simple mindset shift that creates immediate breathing room This episode is not about doing more or fixing everything at once. It's about paying attention… without shame… and reclaiming your sense of control.

Nancy never thought of herself as a runner. She was the kid who hated playing outside, grew up believing only “people chased by bears” ran, and spent most of her adult life focused on raising six kids. Running didn't enter her life until her late 30s, when life got heavy and she started running down the country roads near her home just to clear her head. What began as a mental reset slowly turned into half marathons, lessons learned the hard way about fueling and hydration, and a growing belief that maybe the full marathon wasn't as impossible as she once thought. In this episode, Nancy walks through her path from seven half marathons to the start line of her first full marathon at Richmond, training as a busy mom, navigating doubt, leaning on community, and learning to let go of pace goals in favor of gratitude. It's a story about starting later, doing the work anyway, and proving to yourself that you're capable of more than you ever imagined.Follow along with Nancy at @pauleyontherun on Instagram! Follow along with the show:

Today in history: Tu BiShvat (New Year of the Trees): In the Torah, God says that the fruit from newly planted trees in Israel is forbidden for three years (see Leviticus 19:23–25). Instead of counting the age of each tree, all are counted from the 15th of Shvat (Tu BiShvat) , the New Year of the Trees.
