In this episode, I sit down with advocacy expert Cynthia Levin to challenge one of the biggest lies busy working moms believe: that making a difference requires more time than we have. We talk about simple, practical ways to use your voice, why even small actions matter, and how advocacy can fit into an already full life. If you've ever cared deeply about an issue but felt like one person couldn't make a difference, this conversation will completely shift your perspective.86In this episode, we unpack:Why moms are some of the most powerful advocates in the worldSimple ways to create change in just a few minutes a dayHow to advocate even when you're overwhelmed and short on timeWhy your personal story matters more than being an expertEasy first steps to help you confidently use your voiceWork with me:Join Ambitious & Balanced: www.rebeccaolsoncoaching.com/ambitiousandbalanced Book a Work-Life Balance Strategy Call: www.rebeccaolsoncoaching.com/ambitiousandbalanced-call Download the Free Daily Kickstart:www.ambitiousandbalanced.com/daily-kickstartConnect with Cynthia:Website:www.AdvocacyMadeEasy.comFree "Advocacy How-To” Resource:https://ccylevin.substack.com/t/advocacy-how-tosCynthia's Book:https://www.amazon.com/Changing-Diapers-World-Advocates-Started/dp/1955985332Instagram:www.instagram.com/ccylevinLinkedIn:www.linkedin.com/in/cynthiachangyitlevin/

Have you ever looked around your house and thought, “I want this home to feel peaceful. I want it to feel like rest and joy. But right now, it just feels like work”? The table is filled with schoolbooks. The sink has dishes. Shoes are scattered near the door. Someone needs help. Someone is hungry. The house has been used all day for learning, meals, play, work, and care. In this episode, I'm talking about what to do when the whole house seems to need attention, but you do not have the time or capacity to clean everything. I share a simple question that helps me narrow my attention: What small space needs to be usable again before we can move forward? If dinner is next, you may not need to clean the whole kitchen. You may only need to wash the pan you plan to use and clear enough counter space to prepare the meal. Before lunch, you may only need to move the books and clear enough of the table for everyone to sit down. Before an appointment, you may need to move the bags and shoes blocking the doorway—not finish the entire room. I also share something an occupational therapist told me when my children were small and I felt embarrassed about the toys and lived-in mess in our home. Her words helped me remember that a home being used for learning, growing, eating, resting, making mistakes, and trying again will look used. And I want to be clear: sometimes the best choice is not to clean at all. If a child needs comfort, correction, encouragement, or help calming down, that person may need your attention more than the dishes do. The goal is not to make the whole house look perfect. The goal is to notice the one obstacle making the next part of family life harder, make that small space usable, and then stop. I also share how Movie Schooling can fit naturally into a day when both the house and the homeschool need a simpler plan. It gives you a prepared way to use a wholesome movie for learning and conversation without creating another lesson from the beginning. If your house feels like work instead of a place of rest and joy, this episode will help you narrow your attention to what would help your family next—without feeling responsible for the entire house at one time. Scripture referenced: Proverbs 14:1, ESV: “The wisest of women builds her house, but folly with her own hands tears it down.” This verse is not saying that a messy room means a weary mother is tearing down her home. Building a home also includes the way we speak, respond to one another, and decide what matters most. A tidy room is not worth becoming harsh with the people in it. Mentioned in this episode: Movie Schooling — a simple guide for families who want to use wholesome movies for meaningful learning, conversation, and connection without creating another lesson from the beginning. This episode is supported by: CTC Math — comprehensive video lessons and flexible, self-paced math learning for busy homeschool families. XOXO, Katie

Do you ever feel like you and your partner are parenting from completely different playbooks? You're not alone. In this episode, Lori sits down with registered clinical counselor, trauma-informed therapist, and author Martina Nova to discuss why parenting often uncovers differences couples never realized they had—and how to move from conflict to connection.Martina shares insights from her new book, Same Page Parenting, explaining that successful parenting isn't about agreeing on every decision. Instead, it's about understanding one another's experiences, values, childhood influences, and emotional needs.Together, they discuss: Why becoming parents often changes even the strongest relationships The hidden impact of childhood experiences on the way we parent Understanding and reducing the invisible mental load How social media and modern parenting pressures affect today's families Conversation starters that help couples reconnect instead of argue Why curiosity is more powerful than trying to "win" parenting disagreements Simple ways to begin feeling like a parenting team again One of Martina's favorite questions to ask couples is:"What part of parenting feels heaviest for you right now?"Sometimes one compassionate question can open the door to deeper understanding and stronger connection. If you've ever felt overwhelmed, misunderstood, or like you're carrying too much on your own, this conversation will remind you that healthy parenting starts with healthy communication.Text us your feedback or questions!Stay connected!Join us in The Supermom Society! Effective Fitness for Women: Fat Loss & Muscle Gain for Fitness Beginners
Let's be honest. Lunch is the most skipped, scrounged, and forgettable meal of the day for most moms. You know you should eat something real. But by the time noon hits, you are already starving and whatever is closest wins. That is not a willpower problem. That is a planning problem. And in this episode, we are fixing it. I am sharing five high protein lunches for moms that I actually rotate through in my own house. We are talking 20 to 30 grams of protein, real ingredients, and meals that take less than ten minutes to pull together when the components are ready. No complicated prep. No grocery hauls full of things you will never touch. Just five simple, satisfying meals that make lunch feel less like survival and more like actually taking care of yourself. I am also talking about the one meal planning strategy that makes lunch almost automatic, and why most moms are one small shift away from never having to think about lunch again. If you have been piecing together crackers and leftovers and calling it a meal, this episode is for you. -Rachel Next Steps: 100 Gram Protein Cheat Sheet Join our Strength Training for Moms Facebook Community Meal Planning on Autopilot Starter Kit
PEACEFUL MIND PODCAST — EPISODE 333 When Life Feels Full But Not Fulfilling Your days are full. Your home is full. Your schedule is full. And yet — something still feels off. Not terrible. Just not quite right. Like you should feel better than you do. If that's where you are, Danielle has a perspective in this episode that might quietly explain everything. The gap between a full life and a fulfilling one often comes down to one thing: the difference between your wants being met and your needs being met. This isn't about adding more to your plate. It's about paying attention to what your body, your heart, your mind, and your soul are actually asking for — and making small, intentional shifts toward those things. In This Episode You'll Learn: Why happiness is more connected to your needs being fulfilled than your wants being satisfied The four categories of need — physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual — and how to honestly evaluate where you are in each Why it's possible to feel emotionally undernourished even in the middle of a very full life What small, steady shifts toward each category can look like in real mom life Why God created you with these needs on purpose — and why meeting them is not a burden but an invitation Get full show notes, transcript, and more information here Related Episodes If this topic resonated with you, these episodes may also help: #321 — 5 Ways to Truly Enjoy Your Life #237 — Finding Joy in Everyday Moments When You Are a Busy Mom #230 — Is Your Pursuit of Happiness Making You Miserable?

It's way too common for therapists to feel confused and frustrated with their model. Many counselors feel like their models work for some but feel hopeless with certain clients. Worst of all is when therapists feel like a "rent-a-friend" instead of a catalyst for change. I'm Dr. Jordan Harris, and I help therapists move from "lost" to "confident" by mastering the meta-skills of clinical excellence. My approach isn't about learning another model—it's about knowing when and how to use the tools you already have to create deeper, more transformative emotional encounters. In my trainings, we focus on four key pillars: Motivation: Working with (not against) client resistance. Persuasion: Engaging clients so they show up hopeful and ready. Experiencing: Moving past surface-level talk into deep emotional work. Body Language: Reading non-verbal cues for true clinical attunement.

Ever looked around your house and thought, "How did it get like this? I used to have it all together"? You are not alone, and according to this week's guest, that mess is not a character flaw. It is a sign your life has outgrown your system. And that is fixable. Angie sits down with Tia Toso, founder of Room for Serenity, a home organizing service in the Twin Cities. Tia isn't the kind of organizer who swoops in, makes everything pretty, and leaves you with a bin system you will never maintain. As a mom herself, she coaches families through the decisions so the change actually sticks. In this episode you will learn why there is no quick hack to organizing when you have kids, how to organize for function instead of for the perfect Instagram shelf, how to get your spouse and kids genuinely on board, and a low-pressure way to declutter a little at a time. Most of all, Tia reframes the guilt and shame so many of us carry, reminding us we were built to live in community, not to handle it all alone. If "what's for dinner?" is the question that sends a wave of dread through your entire body every single day, this episode is for you. Not because you are bad at feeding your family. Because you have never had a system that was actually simple enough to stick to, one that takes 15 minutes, runs on repeat, and gets your whole family involved so you are not the only one holding it together. I am breaking down the exact meal planning system I use as a mom who runs a business, and it is so much simpler than anything you have tried before. When your meals are handled, your brain is free. And that mental margin matters more than most people realize. xoxo, Chelsi Jo . . . . . Learn how to build your Life and Business Operating System in a free 20-minute interactive masterclass
