God's name is never explicitly mentioned in the book of Esther, yet His presence permeates every chapter. God works behind the scenes in the quiet, sometimes mundane moments. We can trust that even when God seems silent or hidden, He is actively moving on our behalf.

Noah's persistent obedience to God, even when it made no sense to those around him, saved his family. It reminds us that faithfulness over time matters.  Like Noah, we are called to keep trusting and working when God has spoken, knowing that perseverance prepares the way for God to do his best work.

God has the power to change lives. The truth is, no matter where we come from, what we've done or the struggles we've been through, God is always present and gracious. The story he weaves together in and through our lives always shows his goodness.

Freedom. If we know Jesus, we have it. It's not what we've done, it's all about accepting what he did. What does it mean to be free? What does it mean to live free? Why is it so important to us as a church? Let's answer those questions.

True life is found in Jesus. The truth is, we are dead in our sin without him. Once we meet him, it literally changes everything. True life is also shared with other people. We need people around us who will hold us up, encourage us, and hold us accountable. This is really living the life God has for us.

Helping people find hope, life and freedom in Jesus is our mission as a church. It all starts with hope. We want to be people who hold onto real hope and help other people experience it too. Because of Jesus there's always hope!

Springwell Church has had an amazing 30 years of ministry. What God has done has been nothing short of miraculous. We believe, though, that what God's done through us in the past, he wants to continue to do in our future. How do we position ourselves to experience the miraculous for the next 30 years? We help people find hope, life, and freedom in Jesus.

What happens when justice meets mercy? It leads straight to grace—and ultimately to purpose. This week, we're diving deep into Ephesians on a simple, powerful walk through scripture that reveals the core of the gospel.

Riddles often look difficult. In reality, the answer is usually right in front of us. Often we treat God's worth like a riddle. It looks difficult to describe, but the answer is right in front of us. As we look back at 2025, let's recognize how God has shown-up time and time again in our lives.

During the Christmas season—and really, all throughout the year—our lives are filled with responsibilities, challenges, and pursuits. But why does it so often feel like all of that gets us nowhere? Maybe it comes down to what we choose to make room for. Will you make room for Jesus and let Him lead you where He wants you to go? When we start with Jesus, there's always room.

When God wanted to announce to the world that his Son was born, he didn't go to the rich or religious elite. No, God sent angels to lowly shepherds in a field. Why? It's to tell us that we don't have to fear being good enough for God. A relationship with Jesus is the gift that does just that.

People pleasing and worrying about what others think of them drives many people in today's culture. We try to put on a front to impress and even give on what we really believe so we'll be liked. Let's look at Joseph in the Christmas story and see what we can learn about obeying God even when others may not like it.

Interruptions are just a part of life. They come at what seem like the worst possible times. When we go through them, it can cause us to fear what's happening and what the result will be. What can we learn about interruptions from the mother of Jesus? A lot.

Everything comes from something. The earth is created by God. Plants come from a seed in the ground. Brewed coffee comes from hot water running over coffee grounds. How does that apply to our faith and what we do? The truth is, real faith produces real works and actions in the life of a believer. It's not an act of our will power, it's a result of our faith. Works flow from true faith.

Is God sovereign? Yes! Do we have the freedom to make choices in our lives? Yes! The tension between God's sovereignty and our free will is one we see throughout scripture. It's a tension that plays itself out in our lives every single day. What do we do with the tension? How should we react? It ultimately tells us about the power and goodness of God.

There are tensions in scripture. Things that don't contradict each other, but live in tension to fully reveal who God truly is. Grace and truth are both necessary to a loving God. Without truth, we wouldn't know grace. Without both, we wouldn't know love. What does that mean for our everyday lives? Let's talk about it.

Hurts, habits, and hang-ups—we all have them. That's why we're so passionate about Celebrate Recovery, a faith-based program that's changing lives every week. Celebrate Recovery Sunday is our chance to shine a light on this ministry, share powerful stories of transformation, and celebrate the hope and healing it helps bring.

God can do the unthinkable. He can heal the sick, raise the dead, and redeem time and people. There are countless stories of God's amazing work in the lives of people at Springwell. One of those stories is Katie Adamson. Our Founding Pastor's (Pastor Scott) daughter has experienced God's power to change people first hand. Let's hear her amazing "prodigal" story.

Satan will try to trick us by convincing us that everything we want is available outside of a relationship with God. He'll attack our identity and tempt us with things he doesn't even have the ability to really give us. How do we combat it? We do what Jesus did when he was tempted, we rely on the power of truth.

The Enemy wants to overwhelm you. He wants you to be so overwhelmed by the problems in your life that you go everywhere except God to solve them. He attacks at just the right time so that it feels unbearable and impossible for you. It's just a trick. The truth? It's not too much, not if we'll seek refuge in God.

“I want what I want and I want it now!” So many of us live our lives with that mentality. So we sacrifice what's best for what we can get right away. We sacrifice what God has for us for what seems easier to get. What if, though, that's all a trick of Satan. What if you really don't need it now? What you really need is to wait on your loving God to bring it instead.

Satan is a real enemy. He has his tricks. His tricks are sneaky and try to get us to exchange God's best for much less. One of those tricks? He'll tell us we're missing something we should be enjoying. Even more so, he'll try to tell us God is holding good things back from us. Let's expose this trick of the Enemy so we won't fall for it.

Holy Spirit is a person and dwells within every single believer. He wants to empower us and lead us in our everyday life. How do we tap into his power and leading, though? What does that look like practically? The truth is, we can all experience the joy of walking with Holy Spirit, we just have to plug it in.

Holy Spirit lives inside of every believer. He's personal and a friend. He is powerful and empowers us to do amazing things. What does his power look like? What does it look like in us? How do we tap into it?

Holy Spirit is the most misunderstood person of the trinity. He's not a force or a vibe, He's a person that lives within a believer. What does he do? How does he operate? What should we do in response? Let's meet our Helper.

Scripture makes a clear parallel between Adam in the Garden and Jesus on the cross. What Adam in the garden did by introducing sin into the world, Jesus reversed by hanging on the cross and raising from the dead. It's a beautiful picture that's worth celebrating!

At some point or another, we all find ourselves in life's caves… those places that are dark, scary, confusing, and tough. The good news is we don't have to wait until we're out of the cave to move forward. God can work in us right where we are. How do we do that? Let's take a look at King David and the Psalm he wrote while in his cave.

Light shines brightest in the dark. It's in the dark or cloudy times of our lives when God is often most felt. The fact is, he's the same God in every situation and season of our lives. We can trust him, rain or shine.

The Psalms are filled with heartfelt, raw, and emotional songs and poems from real life experiences. In Psalm 3, David is going through something really major and offers a prayer. As it turns out, this prayer is perfect for us to preach to ourselves during the hardest parts of our life as well.

On Sunday, August 10th, we hosted a massive celebration. Not only did we celebrate 30 years since Springwell was founded, but we also celebrated Pastor Scott McAlister as he steps into retirement!

Have you ever been in a difficult situation where you just knew God could do something about it—but He didn't—and that confused you? Then you'll probably relate well to the story of Habakkuk.

The Great Commandment calls us to love God and love others, but Jesus adds a crucial modifier: “as you love yourself,” revealing that we can't truly love others until we first see and love ourselves as God does. This message emphasizes a divine order—loving God first, which then shapes our identity and enables genuine love for others. When we secure our spiritual “oxygen mask” through a relationship with God, we gain the clarity and strength to love both ourselves and those around us well.

You can say all the right things, do amazing stuff, and even show off your faith—but if love isn't behind it, it's just noise. Let's dive into what 1 Corinthians 13:1–3 teaches us about the power of real love, and why it's the one thing that gives everything else meaning.

Fear is powerful. It can paralyze you, discourage you, and hold you captive at the same time. What can you do to combat fear? You need to remember that you have a creator who knows you, loves you, and holds you with His victorious right hand!

Have you found yourself facing something and said, “God I really don't understand what's going on here. You could do something about this, but you're not and I don't understand.”  If that's the way you feel about a situation you're in right now, then Habakkuk 2 will speak to you. So, let's talk about what you do in the in between time.

When is enough, enough? The illusion of enough is one that so many of us chase after. When I get enough time, enough money, enough confidence, then I'll be good. What if the truth is, you will never have enough to feel like you've arrived. Jesus is our only source of enough.

Perfection seems like an amazing thing. It even feels like the thing we should strive for as believers in Jesus. What happens though, when life doesn't feel perfect? What happens when we realize we can't be perfect? The truth is, neither of those will ever come to reality. What can we learn? How do we avoid being blinded by perfection?

We're all tempted at some point or another. We're tempted to try to control a situation or the people around us. While it can be tempting, it's never beneficial. What are the risks when we try to control our lives? What can we do instead? We have to know, it's out of our control.

To become more like Jesus, we need to spend time with him and seek a relationship with him.  The Holy Spirit works in us, changing our hearts and minds as we behold him.

We've been told we have to trust God. Most of us believe we should and probably really want to, but how do we do that? What does a life of trusting God really look like? I may look different than you thought.

None of us like tests. We didn't like them in school, and the tests we face as adults in life can oftentimes feel overwhelming and even cruel. What if, though, the tests of our faith weren't God being cruel at all, but actually God showing his goodness and giving us something we can't get any other way? Because that's exactly what they are.

Have you ever felt like maybe God broke a promise to you? You made it on the other side of something and thought, “This is it?!” Maybe you had in your mind what he was going to do for you but he didn't seem to do it. God will often do things we didn't predict. So, how do you learn to trust him? How do you lean into him and keep believing even when the promise seems slow or even impossible?

Springwell Church was founded almost 30 years ago as a safe place for the broken, hurt, and left out. All of these years later, it continues to be a place for those people to find life in Jesus. One thing is clear, God continues to use Springwell in incredible ways, and, He's just getting started.

Scripture is truly amazing. It has the power to transform our hearts and minds every time we read it. It embodies the truth and reveals God's heart to us.  Some verses seem to speak more loudly than others. Whether it's a verse that comes at just the right time or a verse that connects you to God's heart when you need it most, scripture can literally change our lives.

There are often challenging and desperate times when waiting for change can feel hopeless. We may begin to wonder, "Will this ever get better?" The resurrection of Jesus reminds us that there is hope even when things feel hopeless because Jesus has risen! Hold on, your Sunday is coming!

New seasons of life are tough. On one hand, we often want things to change, on the other, the unknown can be a bit scary. The good news? New seasons don't have to be dreaded. What if new seasons could serve as a reminder of what God is doing and who he is? Change is coming and 41 is going to be a good one!

It may not be a 9 foot tall giant named Goliath, but we all face something we feel like is bigger than us. We all have people that we feel like have decided to be our enemy. Where do we fight our greatest battles, though? How do we fight the biggest giant in our lives and win?

Are you trying to hold on to faith? Are you beginning to doubt what you've been taught about God? Are you confused as to what to pray and where he is? This is a  message about how constant pursuit of an ever present God will lead to what you really always wanted.

When life feels wrecked, if we're honest, we have a lot of questions for God. We wonder why it happened and what he's doing as we're going through it. What if I told you that questions are good, but the right questions are better? What if we could ask the right questions and see that it all happens for a reason?

Peace that surpasses understanding. That's what the peace of God is. The question is,  what does it feel like? How do we get it? How do we keep it? The truth is, sometimes life has to fall to pieces for us to truly understand peace. Once we get it, though, it makes all the difference.
