Of course our ramblings as well...like the Fighting Peacocks of St. Peters, transfer portals and NIL money, high school typing class with a jammed finger, and the joys of technology...when it works. Episode 29 - Weekly recap and remembering and honoring Don Sessions. After a long hiatus, we return, we start with a bit of the Arabian Basketball playoff recap and quickly jump into talk about Don Sessions and his impact on us. We finish off with some all district honors for the Arabians. We hope to get back into more of our recap mode on the next episode, but for now, we thank you for letting us remember a good man who meant a lot to us both.
Episode 28 - Weekly Recap and Interview with Scott Herring. We start with a lengthy recap of the happenings of DHS. Basketball talk, some spring sports talk then FCCLA's regional results along with some band news. We then interview longtime Warhorse Football filmer and super fan, Scott Herring. We talk about some of the things that stand out after 41 years of filming games in Devine. Oh, and or course our weekly ramblings as well.
It's the baseball episode - Episode 27. We start off with a curve ball as Jacob Sadler fills in for his Uncle Joseph. We then move on to Warhorse Baseball talk with Head Coach George Villa. We talk a bit about the crazy ending to the Arabian Basketball game vs Somerset and a few other ramblings...oh and we talk about why Joseph was banned from calling into his own show...yep, as always, we keep it interesting...not much of a weekly recap, but we will get to that on the next one...
Episode 26 - Interview with Floyd Moore, Robert Rivera, and Paul Gomez. Phone in guests Coach Jeff Hooks and Coach Larry Satcher join us as well. We talk about Warhorse football in the late 80s to early 90s, the journey after high school and how everyone went on to play college ball and the unique paths they took to get there. A brief weekly recap starts things off.
We return with Episode 25 after a week off...we start with a quick recap of events at DHS like district play in basketball, the start of spring sports and their practices, and some band success. Then we jump into an interview with Head Softball Coach Juan Gonzalez. We finish up with a few thoughts on the Dallas Cowboys playoff performance and other rambling thoughts as well.
Episode 24 - A quick recap of DHS stuff, then a good conversation with Lewis Stroud and Ernest Munoz. We talk about Stroud League and its effect on those growing up in Devine, officiating, driver's education and more...we are even joined by a phone-in guest Everett Diaz. Episode 23 - after a brief holiday break we are back with Episode 23. Jacob and Joseph Sadler come out to sit down and chat with us about all kinds of things...from Firework mishaps to the Government entrusting Joseph to use the latest fireworks at Ft Sill. The brothers talk about growing up and playing with your brother and best friend, some talk about competitiveness and how that got them to where they are today, being ready for your chance, and what it's like playing college football. Of course, there are several stories along the way...we end with a quick recap of some of the holiday basketball happenings, some TGCA Volleyball recognition and more...tune it for our longest podcast yet (imagine that with 3 Sadler's together)!!! Episode 22 - Basketball recap to date - Guests Jacob Sadler and Coach Evan Eads stop by to talk shop. We all discuss how the Warhorse and Arabian basketball season are going after the 1st month. We recap the Devine Tourney and talk about leadership. Then we try to go off the rails a bit talking about letter jackets, UIL realignment, and how we seem to play Cuero in the rain most times during football season.
Episode 21 - Phone Interviews with Bobby Campsey and Joseph Sadler. A quick basketball recap as well. A little delay in getting this one out due to our schedules.
Our weekly recap of the goings on at DHS. We ramble a bit, get into our basketball season recap and how sports have "slowed down" for a bit, and then transition to our first phone interview of the podcast. Singer/Songwriter Matt Hawk joins us over the phone to talk music and pursuing his dreams amongst other things. A fun episode that ends with a story about setting up deer feeders which is a great plug for our new handy man business. Enjoy.

We reveal the much anticipated results of the FB poll about Mid or Late 40's...and then we transition and talk to two gentlemen that are active in and around the community of Devine and their church. After a week off we return with our usual weekly recap. We interview Head Football Coach Paul Gomez and preview what District 15-4A Division II play will bring for the Warhorses. We talk about the district opener for the Horses at 5-0 Carrizo Springs. Of course we have some ramblings of our own as Joseph hits the mid-40s club! Glad to be back!!
