Today is the third Sunday of our Lenten series, “Tell Me Something Good.” Traditionally, Lent is a solemn time, focusing on repentance and fasting—preparing new believers for baptism on Easter. This year, though, we're preparing ourselves for Easter in a different way—each week, we're asking ourselves the simple yet powerful question: Where do we see good news? This question helps us to return to the heart of Jesus' teachings, rooting ourselves in the goodness God desires for all creation, and reminding us that the Gospel is good news! The gospel is the story of a God who loves humanity so deeply that God took on flesh and bone to be with us. It's the story of a love so deep and wide that even death cannot overcome it. And it's the story of a love that calls us into community — to care for one another, protect one another, and remind each other that we belong. And naming all that goodness grounds us. It reminds us that God is still at work, and helps us remember who we are and what we are called to be: messengers of the Good News right here and right now! Today's good news is that together, the impossible is possible.
