In this episode I interview Madeleine Ryan, Australian author of A Room Called Earth. After having been an actor, being diagnosed with autism and moving to the country, Madeleine is now working on a screen adaptation of her book. In this interview, Madeleine talks about creative work as a radical act, and a transformative practice -- why moments of discomfort are powerful opportunities for the intuitive, creative process. She talks about the importance of being honest with yourself and breaking the rules. She reflects on creativity as a way to develop tenderness with discomfort & how ease can point out our greatest contribution to the world. She offers heartfelt non-advice recommendations for those wanting to write a book, and speaks of writing as a practice of radical self-acceptance.
In this episode I speak with Antoinette Beauchamp about Intuitive Scheduling and the ability to trust your inner compass for timing on meetings, launching projects and how to calendar your time in general. She talks about how to avoid burnout by blocking one-hour chunks in your day where you do something that brings you joy, instead of booking in a full day of meetings. She says that everyone is excited about a cancellation, because our lives are too full; therefore, there's no reason to feel guilty when you cancel a meeting if it's not the right timing. She talks about understanding the different cycles that you experience during the day, and limiting the number of times you do certain activities, like appointments. She describes the freedom of scheduling 2-hour blocks of what she calls ‘intuitive time' (minus your phone) that allow for flashes of insight. We also talk about delegating, hiring/firing and the fear of being “too much”.

In this episode I speak with John Tabis, owner and founder of Bouqs, an online flower delivery company. He talks about how what started as a way to highlight the positive qualities of his friend's flower farm in South America evolved into a desire to change the entire floral industry. John opens his heart and shares his experiences with balancing business, family and personal survival. He talks about investors, disrupting the floral industry, challenges in business and the power of questioning yourself.
In this episode I speak with Eli Buren, a dedicated practitioner of over 20 years in yogic embodiment, awareness, martial arts, and outdoor leadership. He walks his talk with practices like qi gong, tea ceremony, sensory awareness, skin time and reverence. He describes how deepening our relationship with nature helps us appreciate each other more, and why it's so important to become adept at both yin/yang aspects within ourselves: sharpness & softness, ferocity & vulnerability. He talks about how romantic love relationships naturally invite us into a place of being disturbed, and how turning toward discomfort can amplify intimacy and vitality. He shares why it's so important for men to spend time with other men, gives helpful tips for women and shares powerful methods from his international men's retreats.
In this episode I speak with Dr. Melissa Sell about how your body's symptoms tell the story of your inner conflicts. She shares Germanic New Medicine as a system of understanding the vast intelligence of the body, and how biological programs trigger in the body as a response to stress, shock and trauma. She describes several examples of symptoms (i.e. joint pain, skin problems, stubborn weight gain) and what inner conflicts would cause those symptoms (i.e. I'm not good enough, feeling attacked, abandonment). She says that the moment that most of us wonder, “What's wrong with me?” when physical symptoms arise, is when the body is actually in resolution mode. She offers a whole new way of understanding our body and encourages us to tap into our inner wisdom to make choices about our health.
A MUST-LISTEN: Dr. Christiane Northrup, M.D., board-certified ob/gyn, pioneer in women's health and NY Times best-selling author of several books including the recently updated classic: Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom. In this episode, she prolifically downloads a wealth of eye-opening knowledge and experience with humor and elegance. She fearlessly tells the truth about various kinds of health checks, why mammograms can be counterproductive and what to do instead, and what happens when boys are circumcised. Chock full of helpful tips and information that literally everyone should know to empower themselves, their families and communities.
In this episode I speak with Dr. Rose Kumar, founder of the Ommani Center and author of Becoming Real: Reclaiming Your Health in Midlife. She talks about how and why she left corporatized medicine 22 years ago to form her own private practice. She describes how 9 times out of 10 people intuitively know why they're sick and how she practices medicine from a ‘how to transform the shadow' perspective. She says that ‘getting over' something can harm us, and how courageously making space for emotions prevents future illness. She describes the Four Body System, the difference between open and closed systems and how leaving a closed system is an act of self-love. She prefers the term ‘self-nourishment' to self-love and encourages us to ask ourselves what nourishes us -- and do more of that.

In this episode I speak with Dr. Christina Compton about the role of doctors as health collaborators rather than authorities. From her experience working with patients, she's found that asking deep questions is more powerful for true healing, and that finding a cure to any physical imbalance requires us to go within to find the answers. She describes how ‘fighting' an illness causes disengagement and disconnection from ourselves, as does breaking the body into parts as with allopathic specialists. She shares that 99.9% of all physical imbalances have emotional/mental or spiritual/energetic causes, and offers one possible spiritual understanding of the virus situation that is occuring today.
In this episode I talk about how it's time for all of us to direct our energy into creating a new world. We the people are powerful -- it's time to take charge. It's time to bloom. It's time to create the lives we want, despite perceived limitations. Any frustration or anger we experience due to world circumstances can be used to infuse passion into our strengths, projects and life design. Rather than look to the external world of ‘what's happening', we can take decisive action toward re-imagining and re-creating our lives, and how we engage in our families and communities. I talk about flower essences to support our focus on channeling energy into creative endeavors and how that will create the world we want to live in. I share stories of women entrepreneurs, and some of the new projects we're up to at lotuswei as a way to inspire you to take the reigns of your life, get off social media and make it happen.
In this episode I talk with Juliana Spicoluk & Mark Spicoluk, founders of Boho Beautiful, about their trip to Tibet. A place I've always been intrigued by that has drastically changed in recent time, I wanted a first-hand account of their time spent there. Juliana and Mark have traveled all over the world for several years, and were surprised when their video got censored. I was curious to know more. They described how meeting HH the Dalai Lama in India was the best day of their lives, inspiring them to visit Tibet. After a month-long process, they were able to enter Tibet and describe the contrast they experienced while in the country. On one hand, there is the breathtaking beauty of the landscape, filled with holy places at every turn and Tibetan people who are so kind and welcoming. On the other hand, the occupation of Tibet has led to the oppression of a culture/language, where there is control around freedom of speech, leading Juliana and Mark to be blacklisted from China because of what they reported. From the vast natural beauty of lakes and mountains, to the peacefulness of monasteries, to the multitude of passport checkpoints and retina scans, their trip was eye-opening in every way. Finally, they share a profound story of Mark getting sick -- and how his dreams whispered to take a different path -- or risk losing his life.
In this episode I speak with Sarah Jenks about being unapologetic and breaking the rules so that we can become who we really are. She shares what prevents us from living life how we really want to -- and how to shift that. She describes the #1 fear that she sees in women on a spiritual path: outgrowing their partners, and talks about what happens when men get invited into the growth experience. She talks about the importance of being vulnerable to find our greatest strength, and how to identify your peak experiences to illuminate your biggest expression in life.

In this episode I talk with Jim Turner for an insider's look at medical freedom. We talk about the importance of: being informed around all issues of your medical health and wellness, why it's so important to look at why people don't get sick and how we must learn to live with pathogens. He challenges us to question everything and do our own research: vaccine manufacturer immunity, the prevalence of vaccine injury, pre-existing conditions, drug interactions, historic examples of measles, swine flu and HIV and how there has never been a successful RNA vaccine. He describes a serious debate that's occurring today that we'll never see in the mainstream media, and that we must search in peer-reviewed journals to find the truth. He elucidates how polarization cripples us into paralysis, but that the upside of what's happening now is the realization that what we've been doing hasn't been working -- now we can illuminate what works!
In this episode, I talk about the healing qualities of the Sacred Datura flower. A highly poisonous flower, one of the only ways to access its healing powers is to work with a flower essence. I talk about what you may experience in working with this moonflower elixir and what it can catalyze within you. I share personal experiences and stories, and talk about how you can use the elixir for purification and finding light at the end of the tunnel during this collective dark night of the soul. Note: Do not eat or consume anything from this plant. It is highly poisonous. It is only safe as a diluted flower essence or homeopathic remedy.
In this episode I talk with Dr. Joseph Yi, board-certified holistic psychiatrist. He shares his personal story, from painful experiences in med school to becoming a musician to growing his business. He describes the four pillars of mental wellness, combined with a strategy to not only get rid of toxic substances and foods, but also toxic people in your life. He describes connection as the opposite to addiction and how struggle in life makes us wiser and stronger on the other side.
In this episode I talk about the magic of the Cacao flower, the value of healing crises and the importance of making yourself and your nourishment priority #1 in order to create the human embodied stability necessary in order to experience rapid personal growth.
In this episode I talk to Lisa Reinhardt from Wei of Chocolate, who's been caregiving her parents who are in their 90s. Last month her father passed, and she made the decision to move her mother cross-country even though conventional thought was against it. She describes their adventure, talks about the importance of a community and the power of spaciousness practices to help you tap into your own knowingness to trust yourself, even if the entire world believes you should head in a different direction. She asks us the thought-provoking question: What bold action would you take, if you knew you couldn't fail?
In this episode I talk to Erin Claire Jones about Human Design. She shares about the five types of Human Design, along with the nine different energy centers and how that makes each of us operate differently. She describes how we can use Human Design to create the optimum ways for us to work together, make decisions and approach life and love depending on the unique combination that makes us who we are.

A solo cast about liberating ourselves from self-doubt - how a recent near-death experience showed me that fear does not exist in a state of awake awareness (being fully in the present moment). I talk about fear as an illusion of the unknown that only exists as a memory from a past experience or a projection into the future. I describe the difference between ‘letting go' and ‘being with' and the importance of mindful awareness anchors throughout the day to help us keep coming back into our bodies in the present moment. I talk about how ‘what if's' take us out of the now and create a state of tension based on illusion, and how meditation and flower elixirs are the most powerful methods to dissolve self-doubt and experience more freedom.
In this episode I sit down with Montessori teacher Caitlyn McLelland. We talk about the opportunity for self-awareness, observation and experience-based learning while homeschooling and/or having our kids home at this time. We talk about how making a snack, folding clothes, watering plants or washing the car are just as important as the workbook from school and why that's true. Caitlyn shares how fostering a natural state of calm focus in children may be as simple/profound as being aware of how we place a cup on the table. She encourages us to be self-compassionate, gentle and ok with being ‘wrong' during this time, that there is no perfection, and she gives us tips for how to support our childrens' natural love of discovery.
In this episode, I sat down with Erin Borbet, to talk about Traditional Chinese Medicine and a five-element perspective on what's happening in the collective. How is this time of purging fear and anxiety both individually and collectively affecting our meridians, bodies and minds? She shares food, practices and an acupressure ritual you can do with anointing oils to open your heart and expand your will, purpose and power.
In this episode I talk with Robin Sandomirksky; she shares about ‘radical ok-ness' during a time of rapid change, when we are liberating collective and individual fears. She shares about how we can use this time to learn to feel connected even if we're physically separate from loved ones. We can see what's happening outside of us as a reflection of our own creation. Robin believes that now is a time to discover what we really LOVE, and that the answers are within -- so we can stop searching on our phones and laptops.
A solo cast about leaning into intensity to more quickly unravel your patterns and recognizing when our responses are disproportionate to what's happening in reality. I share a couple of personal stories from this last week, and why it's so important to take breaks to have compassion for ourselves and maintain a sense of humor with what arises. I share my personal viewpoint of this heightened emotional time (or journey into the unknown) as a catalyst for self-inquiry and swift purification of anything that holds us back.

She shares astounding research around the dangers of excessive allopathic treatment with pets, and the best way to be informed about side effects. She describes the issues related to diet and how most pet foods lead to chronic illness, and how to easily improve the diets of your pets, no matter what your lifestyle. We talk about the fact that most pets she treats have similar issues to their owners and why that is. Josie shares about her own heartwarming path to finding Traditional Chinese Medicine, flower essences, gem elixirs and the results she's seen with not only animals but also in her own life.
