On our penultimate County Episode of Three Ravens Series 7 we're off to the heartland of Welsh language-speaking in Merionethshire! Abolished in 1974, its flag, showing three goats rampant above the dawning sun, still flies in the area, which is filled with monuments like Harlech Castle, Tomen y Mur, some of the deepest slate mines in Wales, and a town guarded by demonic flaming cartwheels. Taking its name from the founder of the Kingdom of Gwynedd, its most famous saint founded a monastery on an island now filled with the bones of 20,000 saints. On its most famous mountain Idris the giant once watched the stars and threw loads of stones about. In its deepest lake lives Teggie, the Welsh version of the Loch Ness monster - and there's indications she actually exists!Including excerpts from this Saturday's Local Legends guest writer and broadcaster Will Millard, host of BBC's Hidden Wales, we'll talk you through it - from the strangeness of Port Merion to the shimmering wonder of the Dolgellau Gold Belt and beyond. Then we come to Martin's story for this week, "The Werewolf of Gellilydan" which is a one of a kind Victorian legend that might just unsettle you...We hope that you enjoy the episode, and will speak to you again on Thursday with our brand new episode of Magic and Medicines all about Holistic and Herbal Healing!Three Ravens is a Myth and Folklore podcast hosted by award-winning writers Martin Vaux and Eleanor Conlon.Released on Mondays, each weekly episode focuses on a historic county, exploring the heritage, folklore and traditions of the area, from ghosts and mermaids to mythical monsters, half-forgotten heroes, bloody legends, and much, much more. Then, and most importantly, we take turns to tell a new version of an ancient story from that county - all before discussing what that tale might mean, where it might have come from, and the truths it reveals about England's hidden past...Bonus Episodes are released on Thursdays plus Local Legends episodes on Saturdays - interviews with acclaimed authors, folklorists, podcasters and historians with unique perspectives on that week's county. With a range of exclusive content on Patreon too, including audio ghost tours, the Three Ravens Newsletter, and monthly Three Ravens Film Club episodes about folk horror films from across the decades, why not join us around the campfire and listen in?REGISTER FOR THE TALES OF SOUTHERN ENGLAND TOURVisit our website Join our Patreon Social media channels and sponsors Hosted on Acast. “Something inside me has broken, and I cannot seem to stop the Waters of my Love Song.”  These are the words of my beautiful guest this week, Dr. Loddie Foose, eloquently expressing her experience of the creative process. Dr. Loddie is a poet and storyteller whose work bridges imagination, inner healing, and grounded leadership. She is the creator of Soul Riders: Storybooks for Your Inner Child, a first-of-its-kind illustrated fiction series designed to invite adult readers into transformative self-discovery through narrative and reflective exploration. On this week's guest episode Loddie and I have a delightful time giggling and enjoying a beautiful conversation around the power of transforming trauma and pain into words of joy and inspiration. Loddie speaks on how story can be a healing tool; why narrative, metaphor, and imagination provide a safe, embodied pathway to inner truth and integration—especially for adults. She also shares her means of reconnecting with the inner child. How restoring and healing connection to our inner child rebuilds self-trust, emotional resilience, and a felt sense of permission to live and lead authentically. And of course I loved discussing using inner healing to gain outer leadership. How inner reconnection translates into women advocating for themselves, setting boundaries, and claiming their worth in the world.Bio:Alongside her soul-inspired writing journey, Dr. Loddie Foose continues her work as a global leader in strategy and business, blending strategic insight with rigorous analytical training (PhD and postdoctoral studies in chemical engineering) and a deep commitment to human flourishing. She is founder of DocDocFoose Business Consulting and Know Your Worth, a leadership development platform for women, and serves as President of The Imagine Fund, a nonprofit advancing equity in gender, health, education, and food access.Links:https://www.docdocfoose.com/companieshttps://www.know-your-worth.net/https://www.know-your-worth.net/imagine-fund

Clayton and Jonathan also go deeper into what happens between incarnations, the life review, the spirit council, the Akashic Records, and what it means for our collective mission on Earth right now.Jonathan breaks down the Hawkins Scale of Enlightenment, the role of shadow work in raising your vibration, and why hypnosis may be one of the most effective yet overlooked tools for rapid personal transformation. March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, a time dedicated to bringing attention to a condition that affects an estimated 1 in 10 women worldwide, yet still takes many years for most women to receive a proper diagnosis. Endometriosis can be debilitating—causing chronic pain, hormonal disruption, inflammation, fertility challenges, and a significant impact on quality of life. Unfortunately, many women are dismissed, misdiagnosed, or offered limited treatment options before they ever receive answers. In this episode, I'm joined by holistic health coach and endometriosis nutritionist Khush Sra. Khush not only works with women suffering from endometriosis, she has lived with it herself. After being diagnosed nearly 20 years ago, she spent years navigating worsening symptoms, surgeries, medications, and the emotional toll of an often misunderstood disease. In my practice, I've found that the most effective approach to endometriosis is multifaceted. Many surgeons are excellent at removing endometrial tissue, but long-term prevention and symptom management often extend beyond surgery and hormonal suppression. This is where practitioners like Khush play an important role—helping women address inflammation, metabolic health, nutrition, and lifestyle factors that can support long-term healing. In this conversation, Khush shares her journey from years of declining health with severe endometriosis to becoming completely symptom-free, along with the strategies she now uses to help other women navigate their own healing process. We also discuss why personalized care matters, the importance of building the right health team, and how women can start advocating for themselves earlier in their journey. This was one of my favorite conversations so far—and one of the most important topics we've covered. If you or someone you love is dealing with endometriosis, there's a lot of insight here. Episode Highlights: • Khush's personal journey with endometriosis and years of worsening health despite multiple surgeries and medications • Recognizing when the traditional medical path isn't providing answers • Navigating fear, guilt, and isolation while dealing with an invisible illness • The four stages of endometriosis and how the condition can progress • The turning point that led Khush to reclaim her health and life • How Khush now helps women as a nutritionist and holistic health coach • Why building a collaborative health team is essential for endometriosis care • What it's like to work with Khush and her approach with patients • Holistic strategies that can support healing with endometriosis • Khush's thoughts on intermittent fasting and endometriosis • How women can start prioritizing their own health and well-being • Why individualized, sustainable programs are critical for long-term success • Khush's message for women who are newly diagnosed or suspect they may have endometriosis   Connect with Khush Sra: Khush Sra's Website https://khushsra.com/ Khush Sra on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/endonutrition/   Episode Resources: Work with Dr. Tassone | Tassone Advanced Gynecology Dr. Tassone's Book | The Hormone Balance Bible Dr. Tassone's Integrative Hormonal Archetype Quiz | Learn Your Hormonal Archetype   Medical Disclaimer This podcast and website represent the opinions of Dr. Shawn Tassone and his guests. In this message from our Flourishing series, Andrew Wilson explores Jesus' words in Matthew 6 and the invitation to a wholehearted, integrated life. Drawing on the call to store up treasure in heaven and serve one master, he shows how divided desires keep us from joy, and how true happiness is found when our hearts, minds and bodies are aligned in serving God. With warmth and clarity, Andrew points us to the deeper hope of the gospel: not just striving for wholeness, but receiving it through Jesus, who perfectly lived the life we could not.

Episode Summary In this episode of The Jabot Podcast, host Kathryn Rubino sits down with public defender, reform advocate, and author Emily Galvin Almanza to discuss her new book The Price of Mercy: Unfair Trials, a Broken System, and a Public Defender's Search for Justice in America. Emily shares her unexpected path into law, her deep commitment to criminal defense, and the emotional realities of representing clients navigating one of the most consequential systems in American society. Drawing from years in public defense and her work co-founding Partners for Justice, she explains why the criminal legal system often punishes instability rather than crime — and how policy choices, not individual morality, frequently determine who enters the system. The conversation explores burnout among defenders, systemic misconceptions about criminal courts, the role of compassion in policy reform, and the economic and social costs of incarceration. Ultimately, the episode reframes justice not as punishment, but as a question of public safety, community stability, and human dignity. Our intuition and energy are speaking to us all the time, it's just a matter of whether or not we listen. My guest this week, Dr. Kelly Edmonds, has built her work around assisting others to be able to hear in the silence. Dr. Kelly is a spiritual guide and healer who walks the path of awakening alongside those seeking to remember their Soul's sacred wisdom. For as long she can remember, Dr. Kelly has been listening to the unseen, to the body, to ancestry, and to the subtle ways life speaks through us. Over the years, through her own experience and in working with others, she began to see how often spiritual awakening leaves people feeling expanded, yet not fully at home in themselves. This was her experience, too, and her lifelong search for coherence. On this guest episode, Dr. Kelly shares how she wrote The Embodied Mystic as an invitation to come home to the body, to the deeper layers of self, and to a spirituality that can be lived gently and honestly. Her book reflects her belief that being fully human is not separate from spiritual evolution, it is the path itself. Kelly explains why your intuition isn't missing, it's just buried under noise, how energy speaks through the body (and how to listen), re-enchanting practice without chasing new techniques, discovering your inner magic and the power it unlocksBIO: Dr. Kelly Edmonds brings three decades of grounded work helping committed seekers move beyond surface spirituality into embodied transformation. Rooted in spirit connection, intuitive energy work and ancient mysteries, Kelly facilitates deep transformation—clearing old energy blocks, ancestral patterns and unveiling the magic within. She doesn't teach more techniques, she facilitates remembering and activation at the deepest level.Learn more about Kelly and her work here:  https://www.kellyedmonds.com/embodied-mystic

Join Circle at holplus.co/circle and use code PODCAST for a one-month trial. What if the real issue in women's health isn't that women are “doing it wrong,” but that the entire wellness system was built on research, protocols, and performance standards designed for male bodies? In this solo episode, Dr. Taz breaks down why bro science and modern biohacking culture often backfire for women, and how pushing harder, optimizing more, and chasing protocols can quietly drive hormone chaos, burnout, inflammation, and nervous system dysregulation. She explains why so many women are told their labs are “normal” while their bodies are clearly signaling that something is off, and how medical models that isolate symptoms fail to capture how women's systems actually work. This episode is rooted in the same clinical patterns that led Dr. Taz to writeThe Hormone Shift. After years of watching women come into her practice exhausted, inflamed, and dismissed by conventional care, she began documenting the repeating cycles she saw across life stages, from teens to perimenopause to post-menopause. You'll learn why women were historically excluded from research, how that gap still shapes today's treatment models, and why intensity, calorie restriction, and rigid optimization strategies may worsen hormonal imbalance, metabolic stress, and emotional exhaustion in female bodies. This episode reframes women's health as a whole-body system, not a protocol stack, and explores why safety, rhythm, recovery, and regulation matter more than force. This conversation reframes healing as a process of supporting interconnected systems, not overriding them. Hormones, gut health, immune function, nervous system regulation, emotional safety, stress load, and life stage are not separate variables. When these systems fall out of sync, symptoms multiply. When they are supported together, the body can restore balance, energy, and resilience.Dr. Taz shares: • Why bro science and biohacking trends often backfire for women • How “normal labs” can still mean your body is not functioning optimally • Why women's bodies were historically excluded from research and how that impacts care today • How pushing harder, restricting calories, and overtraining disrupt hormones and metabolism • Why women's nervous systems require safety, rhythm, and recovery to heal • How stress physiology, trauma patterns, and life stage shape women's health outcomes • Why hormones don't act in isolation, but communicate with the gut, immune system, and brain • Where modern tools like HRT, GLP-1s, peptides, and protocols fit and where they fall short • How to build a sustainable, personalized approach to women's health that works with the body, not against itWhether you're feeling dismissed by your labs, burned out from trying every new wellness trend, or frustrated by protocols that seem to work for others but not for you, this episode offers a grounded, integrative framework for understanding what women's bodies actually need.Women don't heal through force. They heal through safety, rhythm, and whole-system support.Stay Connected:Connect further to Hol+ at https://holplus.co/- Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell to stay updated on future episodes of hol+.Follow Dr. Taz on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drtazmd/https://www.instagram.com/liveholplus/Subscribe to the audio podcast: https://holplus.transistor.fm/subscribeSubscribe to the video podcast: https://www.youtube.com/@DrTazMD/podcastsGet your copy of The Hormone Shift: Balance Your Body and Thrive Through Midlife and MenopauseHost & Production TeamHost: Dr. Taz; Produced by ClipGrowth.com (Producer: Pat Gostek)Chapters0:00 Women told it's “normal” and “in your head” 1:13 Holistic approach and the “five bodies” 1:25 Why Dr. Taz is done with “bro science” 4:25 “Your labs are normal” and the dismissal problem 5:20 Why biohacking culture worsens women's health 6:10 HRT, IVF, peptides, GLP-1s without a holistic context 8:18 Why AI and protocols can't replace the whole-woman lens 9:01 What bro science gets wrong (intensity, restriction, isolated hormones) 10:31 Life stage, stress load, nervous system, trauma, lineage 11:45 Bias against women and what it means in the exam room 13:28 Why “evidence-based” fails women when studies exclude women 14:20 What “evidence-based holistic medicine” actually means 16:19 Stats on women's health disparities and research gaps 17:55 Where are you on the health spectrum: powering through vs powering up 18:21 Identify your biggest symptom and quality-of-life limiter 20:00 Don't let “normal labs” end the story, track patterns over time 21:10 Female stress response, intuition, and cortisol sensitivity 24:15 Hormones, gut, immune system triangle and inflammation 27:00 Stress processing differences and guardrails 28:15 Safety as the foundation of women's health 30:10 Women's rhythms: hormones, sleep, food, nervous system 32:50 A woman's body doesn't respond to force 34:25 What holistic healing for women actually looks like 35:39 Closing: share this with a woman who needs it (00:00) - Women told it's “normal” and “in your head” (01:13) - Holistic approach and the “five bodies” (01:25) - Why Dr. Taz is done with “bro science” (04:25) - “Your labs are normal” and the dismissal problem (05:20) - Why biohacking culture worsens women's health (06:10) - HRT, IVF, peptides, GLP-1s without a holistic context (08:18) - Why AI and protocols can't replace the whole-woman lens (09:01) - What bro science gets wrong (intensity, restriction, isolated h...

Leanne shares how she built the company from the ground up over nine years, starting with a single $1,000 deal in 2014 and growing it into a global powerhouse that doubles revenue year over year. She explains how her early career at a celebrity endorsement agency gave her the blueprint for what great talent management looks like, and how she applied those lessons to an entirely new generation of digital creators. From signing Vine stars before the term 'creator economy' even existed, to opening a new office in Dubai, Leanne has built Made by All on the belief that creators deserve the same strategic investment as Hollywood's biggest names. Leanne also introduces her framework DASI (Distribution, Attention, Storytelling, and Impact) to explain what creators truly offer brands, and why so many marketers are still only tapping into the first letter. She opens up about the CMO turnover crisis slowing momentum in the creator space, why she launched Made by Us as a social storytelling studio, and why she believes YouTube's long-form monetization is the best opportunity in the market right now. She also gives her take on platforms like YouTube and TikTok brokering brand deals directly, the collision of Hollywood and Silicon Valley financial models, and what brands still get wrong about building a presence on social media. This episode is a must-listen for anyone at the intersection of media, marketing, and the creator economy.   Key Highlights

In this episode, Travis Chappell is joined in studio by his producer Eric for a live-recorded conversation that dives into a surprisingly nuanced topic: who should you trust when everyone seems to have something to sell? From Big Pharma to wellness influencers, Travis unpacks the tension between traditional medicine and holistic health—and why the real answer probably isn't on either extreme. Drawing from personal experience, including his own cancer diagnosis, Travis shares why critical thinking—not blind trust—is one of the most valuable skills you can develop in today's information economy. On this episode we talk about: The business model behind pharmaceutical advertising Wellness influencers vs. traditional medicine Why outsourcing your thinking is dangerous Navigating conflicting expert opinions Finding a balanced, holistic approach to health decisions Top 3 Takeaways Everyone Has an Incentive.Whether it's pharmaceutical companies, supplement brands, or media outlets, follow the money. Understanding incentives helps you evaluate advice more clearly. Outsourcing Your Thinking Comes at a Cost.Blind trust—on either side of a polarized debate—removes personal responsibility. Critical thinking is harder, but it's necessary. The Truth Is Often in the Middle.Western medicine has saved countless lives. Holistic practices can also play a powerful role. Extreme camps rarely offer the full picture. In this message, I challenge the idea of vertical priorities and introduce a biblical approach that actually works in real life. Most believers have been taught to stack life into priorities: God first, family second, work next, yet everything we do affects everything else we value. When we live by this model, we end up jumping from one responsibility to another, feeling guilty, stressed, and often damaging the very relationships we are trying to protect. The real issue isn't commitment. It's perspective. Once you understand how God intended priorities to work, everything changes. I explain what it means to put God at the center instead of the top, so that your walk with Him increases the quality of your marriage, family, work, health, and peace. This is what I call holistic success. I also explore the biblical meaning of peace and prosperity through the word shalom, and why God gives us the power to get wealth without sorrow when success flows from wisdom and grace. If you're tired of making progress in one area while losing ground somewhere else, this message will help you reset your priorities, protect what matters most, and pursue success God's way, without leaving damage behind.
