Episode 57 - Waterfowl of the World. I was joined by Gary Kramer, Author and Photographer of Waterfowl of the World. He has travelled the world and photographed every known Duck, Goose, or Swan and has them in this book. Also joining me was friend, PJ Carter, who has had the opportunity to travel with Gary and has been a repeat client of ours.
I was joined by Tim Scott and B Scott from Havoc Boats and Off The Clock with B Scott.
I saw down with Mike and our two new guides, Vic and Caleb. We discussed the upcoming dove season and the hunting background of the two new guys.
Our Santa Fe Texas boys are back for their yearly trip and it was a great time getting to catch up.
Just a little update on how the season is going. I introduce my new puppy June and Josh also gives pointers on how to take care of business in the woods! lol
Waterfowl season is here and we are excited about it. Panhandle cranes have been good and the duck season has kicked off with a bang here.
Zack is back from Alaska with some new stories from fish and moose camp. We even had a surprise return guest at the end.
Mike and I were joined by Tyler Reed with the Texas State Game Wardens. We discussed hunting safety and what all the game wardens can do to help hunters.
I am joined by Mike and Walker for a little preseason small talk.

This episode is something different, but something very important to me. A dear friend of mine, Heather McLain, is starting a new, much needed, adventure. Heather, Macey (Trapper Jay's Wife), and I have been friends since 6th grade. This was so much fun and I hope it reaches all that need it.
Things have been really busy for us here lately, but we are back up and running. We have some good stuff planned out and I want to make sure and keep you guys and gals entertained.
This was a random but fun episode. We started off reading a "children's book" called Deez Big Nuts, then somehow got onto social media, then a lady's perspective on hunting with the boys. It is a fun one. Listener discretion advised lol.
Mike's birthday which required us to make a big pile for his birthday. Sam the Man is back in town, returning from Episode 11.
The South Texas Boys are back! We had a fantastic week with these guys and killed a lot of great birds!
We had a few Louisiana shooters show up and boy did they have a special hunt. Hybrid Widgeon/Mallard!
Some very special things happened last week with muddy water with a record breaking hunt! The Moose's buddy Coach Gonzo also joined up to talk Moose and football.
Frank the Tank is back in town and we played in the rain. Lots of good stories being told on here.

It was after a long opening weekend, but we made it through. Shot lots of birds and had a successful BBQ. Clay and Kristi are long time clients and we enjoyed sitting down with them.

Memorial Day celebrations with the boys. Having a few beers, remembering the heroes who died to let us do what we do, and talking about hunting.
This week we were joined by Jake Sudduth with 806 Gun Dogs. Jake is a fantastic dog trainer and has trained several of the Muddy Water dogs. This conversation was so much fun and we will be having him back real soon to keep this going.

I sat down with my good friend Tye to and talked about our do it yourself, first time, Over the Counter Elk hunt in Colorado.
I sat down with both of my daughters to talk about their first deer. Getting our kids in the woods is a big part of what we do here at Muddy Water. I got to watch both my daughters harvest their first deer in the same year.
This was from the last night at the lodge. I sat down with several of the guides to discuss our favorite hunts of the year. We appreciate everyone who came to see us this year.
The Moose is back. We talked more about Alaska, his plane crash, and crane season coming to an end.
40-50 mph winds can really throw things for a loop, and boy did it. We tried something and it did not go our way with these clients. But we definitely made up for it the next day. These clients are repeats and we sure love having them here.
Marcus and the boys were in town for some weekday hunts. They are always a good time. We had some great topics to discuss.
All kinds of good stuff in this episode. I was joined first by my oldest daughter and extra bonus daughter who came to see me at the lodge. Mike and I had a great goose hunt. Then Sam the Man was in town so I had to get him on the podcast to talk to about his past hunts with us. I later called Sam to follow up on our great Sunday duck hunt.
We sat down with a few guys from Mississippi that were here to duck hunt and crane hunt. They had a heck of a Pintail hunt!
