Our guests for Episode 21 are Philippa Ballantine (gracious as always, returning to the show) and Tee Morris (coming back to fiction in force in a major way). Those of you who have heard other interviews with them will know what to expect - awesomeness! If you have not, then prepare to go all over the place in the best possible way.Their book, "Phoenix Rising: Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences" is THE book I'm most excited about for 2011! I say that, because I know that it is going to be a lot of fun. Between plenty of action, and banter written by master practitioners of the craft; the awesome WILL be brought! Steam Punk, strong characters, explosions, snark .... and that's just in the first chapter ...I have my pre-order in and after you listen to Tee & Pip, you'll know why! :)You can find the audio promo for "Tales of the Archives" at http://www.ministryofpeculiaroccurrences.com/2011/02/27/podcast-promos/You can find all things Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences at:Web Site: http://www.ministryofpeculiaroccurrences.com/Twitter: http://twitter.com/BooksAndBraunWhrrl: http://whrrl.com/k/zc7/blUClBuy the book/ebook at: http://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Rising-Ministry-Peculiar-Occurrences/dp/0062049763/ref=as_li_wdgt_js_ex?&camp=212361&linkCode=wey&tag=theofficiw092-20&creative=380725You can find all things Tee Morris at:Web sites: http://teemorris.com/http://www.imaginethatstudios.com/http://www.idguardian.com/Twitter: @TeeMonster @ITStudios@IDGuardianBuy his books at:Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Tee-Morris/e/B002BM9TVG/ref=ntt_athr_dp_pel_pop_2Barnes & Noble - http://productsearch.barnesandnoble.com/search/results.aspx?store=book&ATH=Tee+MorrisOn Podiobooks.com:"Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword" - http://www.podiobooks.com/title/billibub-baddings-and-the-case-of-the-singing-sword"Morevi: The Chronicles of Rafe and Askana (Remastered)" - http://www.podiobooks.com/title/morevi-remasteredReviews of his podcast novels at "View From Valhalla":"Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword" - http://www.viewfromvalhalla.com/2009/11/15/podcast-review-billibub-baddings-and-the-case-of-the-singing-sword/"Morevi: The Chronicles of Rafe and Askana (Remastered)" - http://www.viewfromvalhalla.com/2010/04/12/podcast-review-24-morevi-the-chronicles-of-rafe-and-askana-remastered/You can find all things Philippa Ballantine at:Web site: http://www.pjballantine.comFacebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=62015834848&ref=tsTwitter: @PhillipaJaneGeek Out! I am planning a Tome format change to be announced with episode 25. I would love your feedback on how that format change should look. Check out the forum thread and let me know what you think (http://www.fistfullofcomics.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=index&c=10). I made a recent appearance on the Murder at Avedon Hill podcast novel, which I played a promo for last episode, see links in the show notes from then. I have completed interviews with several industry insiders and have some more planned (thanks to our sister podcast Fist Full of Comics and Games, http://www.fistfullofcomics.com). So look forward to hearing those coming up soon. They include Eytan Bernstein, Wolfgang Baur, and James Jacobs. Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword is a podcast novel by Tee Morris of a dwarf from a high fantasy world stuck in the 1920s/30s Chicago who has become a private investigator. I just finished listening to this story and thought you guys might want to know about it. It can be found at http://www.teemorris.com. The annual Ennie award nominees have been announced, and Gamers Haven recently did a super-episode to familiarize you with who the winners might be. Plus they are running a contest. There is only a short amount of time to vote for the Ennies and get submitted into their contest. Check them out at: http://www.canadiancrusaders.com. I am hoping to get the next episode out before a week is up because pretty soon I go back to school and I don't know what my free time will look like then. The "Noircast Special" podcasts allow Clute and Edwards to address topics of interest to listeners of "Out of the Past" and "Behind the Black Mask." This episode features interviews with the creators of three alternative noir publications: Tee Morris, founder of podiobooks (www.podiobooks.com) and author of the fantasy-hardboiled podiobook "Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword;" Kevin Burton Smith, creator of the superlative "Thrilling Detective" website and ezine (www.thrillingdetective.com); and Seth Harwood, author of the podiobook "Jack Wakes Up" starring movie-star one-hit-wonder and ex-drug-addict Jack Palms.
