Keshia Hannam and Yelda Ali founded the Camel Assembly, an international community of creative female leaders who gather to make change. They believe that change begins with self, and spreads to families, communities, and leads to social impact. Camel Assembly's mission is to see people #marchingdaily - showing up to dreams, passions, relationships, and their health as consistently as to their workplaces and protests. This is facilitated through a community of women across the world, who come together regularly to share who they are and to improve the city they live in. In This Episode We Talk About: Our personal experiences as women of color and how that fueled us to create platforms for people like us. How they started Camel Assembly and the symbolism of a camel. How they are able to keep their integrity as a platform and not monetize their community. The concept of #marchingdaily and the beauty of taking it slow and steady. The need for more Yin (Feminine energy) in companies and spaces today. Yelda, an Afghan artist and activist, and Keshia, a multi-racial speaker and writer, have built Camel Assembly communities around the world together as business partners for four years. But they're also best friends, and have journeyed through peace and pain to build theirs and each others' dreams. Though not unscathed, they are full of anecdotes, insights and misperceptions about the other; they lay some of those out in this special bonus episode of Camel Assembly Radio, as well as sit with the silent third partner of this series, Dani DiCaccio (artist name KYOSi) to learn who she is and how to say her last name properly. Camel Assembly founders Yelda and Keshia sit with New York City's culture leaders Liv The Lurk and Dylan Ali to discuss why even when our reaction is the only thing we can control, the environment we're in so often gets the best of us. Being aware of our own emotional triggers is how we can start to alter our reaction to them. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

On a beaucoup parlé d’empouvoirement.
