The OM Collective: Find Your Calm

This is about the Alchemy of the Wounded Feminine Energy within us all - despite gender....This is not just a conversation — it's a remembering. A sacred journey through the hidden faces of the feminine in shadow… The places we've collapsed, performed, withheld, over-given, and stayed small to feel safe. In this episode, we walk with the archetypes of the Wounded Feminine — The Good Girl. The Martyr. The Damsel. The Ice Queen. The Temptress. The Silent One. We name them with love, not shame. Because awareness is the first key to alchemy. ✨ You'll explore: – The many masks of the Wounded Feminine – How she shows up in our body, voice, relationships, and worth – And the sacred, slow path to reclaiming her power, her softness, her sovereignty This is not about becoming someone new. It's about unbecoming who you were never meant to be. Let this be your invitation to return. To feel. To release. To transmute your pain into presence, and your wounds into gold.

Welcome back to Lez Hang Out, the podcast that would probably be down to f*ck a dragon.  This week, Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out and talk about why the 2024 Netflix dark fantasy film Damsel Should've Been Gay. Damsel stars Millie Bobby Brown and is perhaps the only movie that dares to ask the question, what if the princess' love interest is a dragon? It's like if Fiona got thrown into that tower in Shrek and then fell in love with Dragon instead of the ogre that rescued her. Shrek 2 would've gone A LOT differently.  If you haven't seen Damsel (and even if you have), you do not want to miss Leigh's recap where it takes us approximately 12 minutes to get 4 seconds into the story because (in our defense) the movie starts with what is essentially a thirst-trap of Millie Bobby Brown's character Elodie chopping wood in the frozen tundra with the most jacked arms you've ever seen. She may not be wearing a flannel, but that is a whole lez. And you'd be surprised how important it is to the plot that Elodie be freaking jacked. Honestly the level of suspension of disbelief we would have to employ to watch this movie without that wood-chopping scene is nearly insurmountable. Elodie survives not only a 125 foot drop into the dragon pit, but then gets set on fire like 1000 times, hauls her body up solid rock walls with nothing but a knife, and is able to eventually reach freedom (for all of 5 minutes before having to go back to the pit to rescue her sister). But she really does make it out, a feat that was impossible for the previous princesses that had been tossed to the dragon (because only a lesbian could survived any of this!)  The best thing about this movie is that it doesn't do that obnoxious redemption arc for the prince where the obviously lesbian-coded princess gets stuck with him in the end. Instead, Elodie rides off into the sunset on the back of the dragon, enemies-to-lovers style, and we straight up watch that milk-toast man get burned alive. We know one thing for sure, Damsel Should've Been Gay. Don't forget to give us your Q & Gay answers on Instagram and follow along on TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and BlueSky @lezhangoutpod. Robert Winfree and Mark Radulich present their The Top 10 Worst Movies of 2024 So Far Review!Buckle up for a deep dive into the cinematic misfires of 2024 as Robert Winfree and Mark Radulich break down The Top 10 Worst Movies of 2024 So Far. In this episode, they'll tackle the films that, despite their big budgets, star-studded casts, or high expectations, fell flat in the eyes of critics and audiences alike. The list includes Lift, Night Swim, Atlas, Uglies, Damsel, Jackpot, Founders Day, The Out-Laws, Space Cadet, and Unfrosted—films that span genres but share the unfortunate distinction of being major disappointments. Whether they were streaming releases or big-screen disasters, these movies are now streaming on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime, giving everyone the chance to see just how bad they really are.Similarities and Common Failures in 2024's Worst FilmsWhat links these movies together? First, many were high-concept projects that promised far more than they delivered. Lift and Atlas, for example, were both positioned as action-packed thrillers with an emphasis on high-stakes drama, yet both failed to meet expectations, offering little in terms of compelling storytelling or character development. Instead, they were bogged down by cliché-ridden plots and lackluster performances, with Lift in particular drawing criticism for being derivative and unimaginative. Similarly, Uglies and Damsel attempted to deliver social commentary or fantastical adventure but fell short due to underdeveloped narratives and weak execution.Audience reception for these films was brutal. Across the board, many of them scored low on Rotten Tomatoes, with some barely scraping above the 20% mark. For instance, Night Swim earned a dismal critical reception for its weak horror elements, uninspired jump scares, and incoherent plot. The Out-Laws, a Netflix comedy, was panned for being a tired rehash of slapstick humor with zero character chemistry. Meanwhile, Space Cadet's attempt at sci-fi comedy fell flat, with viewers and critics alike expressing frustration over its clunky dialogue and shallow characters.Box Office Bombs and Streaming FlopsFinancially, many of these films either underperformed at the box office or didn't even make it to theaters. Founders Day, Uglies, and Damsel were examples of films that may have seen moderate success had they been released in another era, but they couldn't compete with the major blockbuster franchises dominating the box office in 2024. Night Swim, one of the few theatrical releases among this list, quickly moved to streaming after a lackluster opening weekend, joining the ranks of other streaming originals that seem to churn out quickly, leaving little impact. These films also reflect a broader issue in 2024 cinema—streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime have become dumping grounds for mediocre or unfinished projects that might have otherwise struggled in a traditional theatrical model. Movies like The Out-Laws and Unfrosted felt like they were rushed to meet content quotas rather than crafted with genuine care for storytelling or innovation.Join Robert and Mark as they dissect what went wrong with these films, drawing comparisons to some of cinema's greatest flops and speculating on why even star power and slick marketing couldn't save these titles from the bottom of the barrel. If you love to hate bad movies or just want to avoid wasting your time on the year's biggest cinematic failures, this is the podcast for you!Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

A lovely Buddhist tale that reminds us how our thoughts affect our actions.  An episode from Journey with Story, a storytelling podcast for kids ages 4-10.  (duration - 11 minutes)   When you sign up as a Unicorn Patreon Subscriber we will send you this special JWS Teeshirt.   Check out our new patreon page patreon.com/journeywithstory We have updated our patreon page and are offering lots of new perks and benefits including special bonus episodes, bonus read-alouds, as well as stickers, coloring sheets, early access to episodes, access to all archived content,  and the chance for random shout outs on the podcast.  We really appreciate all of our patrons as they help to keep our show ad-free, as well as being able to bring you more quality content each month Don't forget - if you sign up for our Unicorn Patreon Tier before October 2024, we will send you our special JWS teeshirt for your young listener    If you want to check out Kathleen's latest story, Ned, the Knock-Kneed Knight, published in Cricket Magazine, about a cowardly knight who learns how to conquer his fears, you can read it to your little listener here

[School of Movies 2024] This is a special show for Chris Finik. It would have been a relatively straightforward endeavour for Sharon and I to delve into this one. It's a story that feels familiar and contains many of our very favourite elements; A betrayed lady thriving on her own untapped resourcefulness with help from a chain of women begun long ago, a dragon with an AMAZING voice and a Royal Family squatting on an exploitative predatory system that all needs to be burned down. Plus, we love Millie Bobby Brown. But we went one further, twisting around to examine the novelisation by Evelyn Skye, based on the early screenplay by Dan Mazeau. Both versions are lacking in certain departments, which the other compensates for... but there's some crazy business that folks who have only seen the film on Netflix will definitely want to know.
