On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Knox from Enforced. Knox talks about their new album "War Remains" and how it's different from their previous work. He mentions that the songs are more aggressive and have a lot more grit and darkness to them, which adds a unique character to the album. Although it's about 12 minutes shorter than their previous album, "Kill Grid," it packs a lot more punch. Pipeman, who is an old school thrash metalhead, agrees that Enforced's latest music is true thrash. Knox also talks about their upcoming tour with Venom Inc., and how excited they are about it. He says that they're counting the days for a lot of things, including when their beer comes out and when the album drops. Pipeman and Knox also discuss how the pandemic has affected their creativity as artists. They both agree that the pandemic has given them time to reflect and evaluate where they want things to go, which has been a good thing for them. Knox also talks about how the pandemic has given them extra time to work on their record with Century Media. He mentions that their album was pushed back many times due to the lockdowns, which gave them time to get everything squared away with the label. This has made him feel more comfortable working with them now than he did in April 2020. Pipeman and Knox also discuss how having extra time allowed them to make sure that the album was really finished and not just rushed to meet a deadline. Be sure to check out the singles they have released already and keep an eye out for the new album dropping very soon! Enforced's upcoming album, 'War Remains', out Apr. 28th via Century Media. The record is 32 minutes of aggressive, no-frills thrash and has already received a lot of praise from Stereogum, Revolver, Metal Sucks, Knotfest, and many more. Enforced were also on the 2022 Decibel Tour (the magazine is featuring them as a “lead review” for ‘War Remains'). So, lots of heat on this one.BETTER TO REIGN IN HELL: VENOM INC, EXHUMED, ACID WITCH 6/22/23-7/9/23.Latest press release: https://conta.cc/3nrjKBdMusic: https://breakingthelawpr.haulix.com/Media/Link?h=JmKNYOSJaIjsJPO9UxanwQ==Socials: https://www.facebook.com/enforcedrva https://www.instagram.com/enforcedrva/ https://twitter.com/enforcedrva https://open.spotify.com/artist/7vZV2UPiXQMVesiAxQmvBp?si=-BraWuN_R_e8Pabl52jlDATake some zany and serious journeys with The Pipeman aka Dean K. I was very excited to have Albert Mudrian of Decibel Magazine as a guest. They just released their 200th issue which features At The Gates on the cover. We talked about the history of the magazine, how it all started, the struggles they faced through the years, how he got into starting his own tour (Decibel Tour) and also creating his own music festival (Decibel Metal & Beer Fest). We had a great time talking about all of this!
