In our third annual Halloween Spooktacular episode, your hosts Aaron, Damon and George (The Gitmo Bros) talk about gently smiling Force ghosts, doing damage in mentally unstable niche communities, we're not paying Englund money for this, and Casper wanted to make it with me. In the Torture Chamber segment, Aaron and George compete for meaningless points by making Damon listen to his most hated Halloween tunes. Will Damon survive the Torture Chamber long enough to play one of his favorite spooky songs? Tune in and find out! Songs featured in this episode: "Trick or Treat" (Acid Witch), "Wildfire" (Michael Martin Murphey), "Are You Ready for Freddy" (The Fat Boys)

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Knox from Enforced. Knox talks about their new album "War Remains" and how it's different from their previous work. He mentions that the songs are more aggressive and have a lot more grit and darkness to them, which adds a unique character to the album. Although it's about 12 minutes shorter than their previous album, "Kill Grid," it packs a lot more punch. Pipeman, who is an old school thrash metalhead, agrees that Enforced's latest music is true thrash. Knox also talks about their upcoming tour with Venom Inc., and how excited they are about it. He says that they're counting the days for a lot of things, including when their beer comes out and when the album drops. Pipeman and Knox also discuss how the pandemic has affected their creativity as artists. They both agree that the pandemic has given them time to reflect and evaluate where they want things to go, which has been a good thing for them. Knox also talks about how the pandemic has given them extra time to work on their record with Century Media. He mentions that their album was pushed back many times due to the lockdowns, which gave them time to get everything squared away with the label. This has made him feel more comfortable working with them now than he did in April 2020. Pipeman and Knox also discuss how having extra time allowed them to make sure that the album was really finished and not just rushed to meet a deadline. Be sure to check out the singles they have released already and keep an eye out for the new album dropping very soon! Enforced's upcoming album, 'War Remains', out Apr. 28th via Century Media. The record is 32 minutes of aggressive, no-frills thrash and has already received a lot of praise from Stereogum, Revolver, Metal Sucks, Knotfest, and many more. Enforced were also on the 2022 Decibel Tour (the magazine is featuring them as a “lead review” for ‘War Remains'). So, lots of heat on this one.BETTER TO REIGN IN HELL: VENOM INC, EXHUMED, ACID WITCH 6/22/23-7/9/23.Latest press release: https://conta.cc/3nrjKBdMusic: https://breakingthelawpr.haulix.com/Media/Link?h=JmKNYOSJaIjsJPO9UxanwQ==Socials: https://www.facebook.com/enforcedrva https://www.instagram.com/enforcedrva/ https://twitter.com/enforcedrva https://open.spotify.com/artist/7vZV2UPiXQMVesiAxQmvBp?si=-BraWuN_R_e8Pabl52jlDATake some zany and serious journeys with The Pipeman aka Dean K. Halloween is almost upon us. Instead of doing the normal Halloween themed movie, this year we thought we would talk about one of the early films inspired by NOTLD, which has nothing but atmosphere and spooky vibes; Amando de Ossorio's 1972 classic TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD. Although, this was dubbed and released in North America, it is definitely better to avoid that version and find the original Spanish release. We touch on the many reasons why in this episode. We also give a run down of movies we've been watching, bands we've been jamming, and recent activities in the Burnt Offerings camp. And, if you haven't heard, ACID WITCH has a new release! Go scoop that shit up.

We found ourselves sans "Creature Feature" again this week. But no matter, as there was enough going on in the World of Heavy Metal to grab our attention. The month of August has some off the beaten path anniversaries. Death Metal legends Cannibal Corpse dropped their infamous debut this month in '90. As well, this is the 20th anniversary of Go-Gos vocalist Belinda Carlisle appearing Playboy(!) But honestly... we read the article too! Finally, we share our theory of 80's hard rocker Billy Squire being the original Rage Against The Machine(!!) In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we go over our "Metal Fix" and crank tunage from the aforementioned C.C. + new and used from Negative Approach, Vincent Crowley, Acid Witch, Wormwitch, Pantychrist and the amazing Lingua Ignota! Horns Up and Stay Healthy! This Episode is sponsored by Trve Kvlt Coffee. Summon the coffee demons to possess yourself a cup today! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
The guests for this episode are Billy Obey, Joey Black, and Lee Carver, the Horrorcore Hip-Hop trio from Ohio known as Alla Xul Elu making their return to Fresh is the Word to talk about all sorts of gross and horrific things, including their new album MauXuLeum, out now via Majik Ninja Entertainment. The new album is produced entirely by Detroit’s own Slasher Dave (producer of late 70s/early 80s influenced original instrumental horror/exploitation soundtrack music and member of metal band Acid Witch), so we talk about how it is to work with one producer for a whole album as we go track-by-track through MauXuLeum. We also talk about our favorite spooky tunes and horror flicks. It’s always crazy shenanigans when I have these Xuligans on the show. You. Are. Awesome. Yes, you! Thank you for tuning into The Whizbanger Show every week and for listening to the podcasts. I receive your messages, see your “likes”, and accept your pal-ships. It’s really cool to build this community with so many people into such fine music.Yesterday’s show was super fun, but if I’m honest, I’ll say that it was more of a prefunk to next week, 30 October, when the real Halloween show is in full dress. It’s gonna be trippy – and I meant that in the most literal sense. So pin it, calendar it, do what you need to do to make sure you don’t miss it.Here is the playlist for Friday, 23 October – the prefunkdubious mix to end all prefunkdubious mixes!Cheers, y’all. For some years now it seems ACID WITCH has become the soundtrack to many fans' Halloween. There are many dynamics that craft their creepy sound which derives from the love of all things horror from Slasher Dave and Co. In this episode it was fun to dive deep into horror soundtracks, specifically John Carpenter inspiration, and the creation of the ACID WITCH character. Dave also shares stories about meeting Glen on their tour with DANZIG and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, staying at Phil Anselmo's house, the days with Lasse of HOODED MENACE on vocals, and Shagrat's killer art. And now it's time to join us in HELLucinating this brand new episode of INTO THE DARKNESS. Slasher Dave is probably most familiar to our listeners as the mainman behind the amazing Acid Witch. But every great artist has a strong versatility to their art. So when Dave's not killing it with his main gig, his alter ego Slasher Dave creeps out. Dave's love of all things Horror is never more evident than with the cool sounds this project conjures up. SD's music is his own instrumental interpretation of classic horror flicks. Case in point - his new album "Cannibal Death Gods" is a beautiful homage to the jungle cannibal flicks of yesteryear. So now's a great time to yack with Dave about the whys and wherefores of this record including the concept and what drives his unique art. Of course, we get an update on Acid Witch as well. In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we celebrate Motorhead Day (the 8th of May) with a toast to Lemmy himself. Musically, we crank the new Slasher record plus some Acid Witch, Sarcofago, Devangelic, Horrific, Holocausto, and introduce South American deathsters Reptilium in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns!! This episode we are joined by our friend Slasher Dave! Dave is the creative force behind the horror/death metal band Acid Witch and also puts out solo instrumental records under the Slasher Dave moniker. His latest record Cannibal Death Gods is out now!
Ach was, Trick or Treat! - Alles halb so wild, es ist ja Halloween.

DICKS, we present unto thee a Halloween Hodown! We're looking at the most violent poltergeist ever documented the Black Monk of Pontefract, which for once is as metal as it sounds. In this episode we take a look at the back history of the monk and find out when he shows himself in the 1960s to a young family and Buddy haunts me as he tries to 'geist the hell out of the episode with his usual genital based rhetoric. Good things may indeed come to those who wait. But when it comes to kick ass 'Creature Features" the sooner, the better. Crossover legends Excel go back to the mid 80s from the famed hardcore and skate scenes of Venice Beach, Cali! Vocalist Dan Clements was right in the thick of things from Day One all the way to their recent appearance in town for the SOS Fest! We had a long overdue chat with a dude who had a lot to get off his chest. We had a chat that wavered from the light and bouncy to the rather intense then back again. We spoke of Excel's reunion of sorts and his skating in 2018. Of course the elephant in the living room was the whole "Sandman" thingy. An Excel - ent conversation not to be missed! In our "News, Views, and Tunes!" we share stories from the live front and crank some classic Excel and new stuff from Behemoth, Acid Witch, Horrendous, and Neckbeard Deathcamp!! Horns!! In this epic episode of the DTABM podcast, the boys put 2017 to bed once and for all. There are overlooked releases from the past year discussed, listeners weigh in on the phone, there is a special guest interviewed plus there are the usual bad jokes and feelings of barely repressed sexual tension that you've grown to know and tolerate from the lads. We don't really have a specific topic in this episode. We talk about the new ACID WITCH record 'EVIL SOUND SCREAMERS', we touch on UMBERTO LENZI'S passing what films of his we have been watching, and we discuss / rant about peoples views on original films when a remake is made. I don't think this is the first time this topic has come up, and it probably won't be the last. Aside from that, there are other music and horror things peppered in to round out this mixed offerings.
