Hosted by Fast Lane Jane Thurmond and Design Muse Theresa Contreras DUB founder and SEMA volunteer Myles Kovacs shares what has driven him to succeed, how it consumed him, and how he has now used that journey to mentor and educate other entrepreneurs. Myles attended his first SEMA show at 18 years old. He shares how DUB Magazine guerrilla marketed their first SEMA, eventually becoming one of the show's biggest attractions. From shows to drinks, toys, and custom wheels, DUB has maintained its own automotive style while partnering with some of the biggest corporate brands. He has overcome many obstacles in his journey including battling temporary blindness, including while racing in the Baja 1000. Welcome to another episode of the Detailed Car Collection! Today we discuss protecting the paint of cars and how the conversation has been hijacked in the industry. We all know that there are several ways to protect paint but it seems that some people look down upon certain ways to add that protection. We roll through how and why certain protections are used in different situations. We also talk about a few jobs that came into the shop this week including a blast from the past. A Range Rover we detailed for a DUB magazine shoot in 2010 came into the shop this week. Plus a 16 year olds birthday present showed up in the shop which is always my favorite to work on. Thank you for listening to the episode and as always for being a part of our detailing community!
