Happy Omicron everybody!  At least we have the vaccine so it's not as scary but it's definitely starting to look familiar with more and more things shutting down just in time for the most wonderful day of the year. We had a great time catching up with one of our closest and funniest friends in comedy and in life, Dwight Slade!! We had such a good time catching up with Dwight and swapping stories of our respective holiday corporate hell gigs. Dwight opens up about the challenges he's had to face this year and what he's focusing on now.

Dwight Slade has always wanted to be a standup comedian.  Whether sneaking into comedy clubs as a teenager with his best friend Bill Hicks, hanging out in Los Angeles with Sam Kinison or taking high level meetings for TV development deals, his passion never dimmed.  But how does all that fit into a life that also involves having a family and being a responsible adult?  https://dwightslade.com/

Dwight Slade joins us in the What's So Funny? Isolation Studios from his home in Boise, Idaho. We talk about how he's spending his days in his home hoarding toilet paper. We also talk about his work on cruise ships, his early days as the comedy partner and best friend of the legendary Bill Hicks, and seeing a flying saucer.

Dwight Slade (Dwightslade.com) is a true expert at stand up with the experience to back it up, he's won almost every comedy competition there is in the U.S. Al April is a very funny comedian with decades of stage time, he was even the first comedian to do stand up comedy on airplanes, back when people thought that was a good idea.

It’s been two long years since Dwight Slade’s last nolaughtrack and we couldn’t be happier to have him back.   Dwight tells Justin about his recent move from Oregon to trendy Idaho and the subsequent purging of junk.  What would Dwight’s childhood friend, Bill Hicks, think of his relocation to the stale suburbs of Boise?
