I thought this might be a good opportunity to fill in those pieces I had missed.I'd read the description of this class many times, and wondered what exactly it would entail. "Demos and lab projects" and "18+". Those two pieces of the description made me both scared and excited. Of course 18 years was the required age for consensual sex, in our state. Did that mean that we were going to be having sex in the class? Surely we couldn't be required to have sex. That would be illegal. Wouldn't it? Our university did have a few prodigy kids on campus, who were still under-age. They were banned from signing up, or even auditing the sessions. There was no online option, either.After thinking on it for about 3 weeks straight, I decided I would sign up.First Day.The first day of the class finally arrived. I'd been anticipating it since the moment I'd signed up. I'd thought about backing out several times, but reconsidered each time.I'd dressed in a tight, white t-shirt with a decal, blue jean shorts with a white belt, and flip-flops.I arrived at my classroom at 7:55; 5 minutes early. It was a very early class. I didn't see many people on campus on the way there. The class was in the basement of the psychology building. I'd never been down there before. I'd heard that's where some psych studies were held, and a few classes. It was tucked away in a corner of the building where nobody would stumble into it by accident.As I walked in, I noticed several people sitting in seats around the room. There was roughly an even mix of males to females. I found a seat in the second row, and pulled out my phone and checked social media, as I waited nervously for class to start. As I waited, I noticed most of the people in the room seemed a little nervous. Many were looking around, and a few seemed like they wanted to get up and leave.Finally, the teacher arrived; 1 minute late.She was somewhat tall for a woman (maybe 5'10"), in her early 30s. She had blonde hair, put up in a bun. She had black rimmed glasses. On the first piece of paper, you will find a location on campus. On the second, there is an action. Your task is to go to your given location, in your current state of undress, and perform your given action. The actions are fairly simple, such as "do 10 jumping jacks", or "yell: look at me!", or "shake hands with someone". once you've done your action, return here for your clothes and belongings, and then you may leave for today."Between now and next class, I would like you to write a few pages describing your experience. I won't specify a length, but my guess is you'd have at least a few pages of content to write about. Next class period, we will review the outcome of the activity. I will take you on your word for whether or not you do your action or not. Either way, just walking around campus will give you a feel for exhibitionism."Now, does anyone not have a place and an action?" Nobody spoke up. "Good. Everyone follow me. I turned left, and headed toward the library.It was still early, and the sun was still coming up over the buildings as I ran down the alley between two parts of the psych building. On the first piece of paper, you will find a location on campus. On the second, there is an action. Your task is to go to your given location, in your current state of undress, and perform your given action. The actions are fairly simple, such as "do 10 jumping jacks", or "yell: look at me!", or "shake hands with someone". once you've done your action, return here for your clothes and belongings, and then you may leave for today."Between now and next class, I would like you to write a few pages describing your experience. I won't specify a length, but my guess is you'd have at least a few pages of content to write about. Next class period, we will review the outcome of the activity. I will take you on your word for whether or not you do your action or not. We saw a couple students as we walked through the halls, and they all looked at us like we were crazy, but at the same time, most of them looked like they wanted to know more."Alright everyone. You have 35 minutes until the end of class. Go to your location, do your action, and come back. I will be waiting in the classroom when you return."She opened the door, and we all flooded out, running in many different directions.I hesitated a moment, before following everyone else. I turned left, and headed toward the library.It was still early, and the sun was still coming up over the buildings as I ran down the alley between two parts of the psych building. As I ran, I could feel the air rushing past me, and between my legs. Because it was so early, it was still quite chilly out. I tried to cover up as much as possible, partly because of my embarrassment, but mostly because I was cold.However, with only two hands, I couldn't cover much. At first, I tried covering my hairless cunt with one hand and my tits with my other arm. After about a dozen steps, I realized that wasn't really working. Although my boobs are small, they sure were bouncing quite a lot. I never really noticed how much they bounced without a bra. So, I switched to covering just my tits with both hands. His eyes opened wide, and his mouth dropped a bit."Um. Miss; I think you've forgotten something." he stammered."Oh. No, I've left my clothes behind on purpose." I said, and smiled at him, moving my hands back to my original, slightly more modest, position. "This is for a class assignment. I have to go to the third floor like this, then go back to my classroom.""Oh. Okay. Well good luck!" he said.He watched me as I walked through the detectors, and to the nearby elevator. I rapidly pressed the "up" button a few times, and bounced up and down, wishing the elevator would hurry up. As I stood there, a few people walked by. Everyone took notice of me, and many people whispered to their friends. A few girls giggled. Just as the elevator was arriving, I saw a guy hold up his phone and snap a picture."I hope you enjoy that, pervert!" I yelled at him, as I quickly got on the elevator and mashed my floor, then "close door" button. Before the door could close, a 40-something year old male professor came running up, and stuck his arm in the door, and stepped inside."Woo. I made it." he said, before noticing me. Unfortunately, there wasn't anyone there. I walked down the row, past the tables, looking down each aisle. Finally, I saw someone, in an upcoming aisle. It was a girl, with black hair, and she was reading a book she had just grabbed off a shelf.Well, I guess this is as good a person as any, I thought to myself.I covered myself with my arms as much as I could, I walked up, tapped her on the shoulder, and said "Hi. Would you mind doing me a favor?""Sure, just gimme a sec to finish what I'm reading" she said, then took a quick glance at me. Just like the security guard, she did a double take, followed by a mouth drop. After a second to take the situation in, she said, "Wow. Um. Why are you naked, in the library?""Well, it's for a class." I said. "We're supposed to go to a place on campus, dressed how I am right now, and do something. That's why I need a favor. I need to get three high-fives. Would you mind giving me one?" As I said all that, I noticed her eyes gaze slowly over the length of my body. It made me shiver."Uh; sure." she said, raising her hand. I reached up, and smacked it. Two down, one to go."So, your professor really had you all walk naked around campus? Does that mean there's a bunch of other people naked around campus right now too?""Yep. There sure are. The class is called Advanced Human Sexuality. I walked over to that entrance, and peered around the corner.As I suspected, there were quite a few people studying in that area. There were 3 large tables, with about 10 people sitting at each. In another part of the room, there were some lounge chairs, with another 15 or so people sitting around. There were also several cubicles scattered about, that gave people a bit of privacy, and from where I was standing, I couldn't tell if they were occupied. However, from experience, I found those were almost always occupied. So, all in all, there were about 50-60 people in that room.Well, I thought, at least I'll have a good chance of finding someone to give me a high five. I'd bet that many of the people would be willing. Maybe I can get some extra credit for extra high-fives.I took a couple deep breaths, and decided it was now or never. I slowly entered the room.Immediately, a group of five guys, to the right of the door, took notice of me. They all seemed very surprised by the sight of an attractive, naked girl, in such a public place. I decided they'd be as good a group as any, and I started to approach them."Hi guys." I said. Malcolm Gladwell describes the 1997 crash of Korean Air Flight 801. The pilot was experienced and in good health. The aircraft was in perfect working order. As the flight approached Guam, the Ground Proximity Warning System alerted the pilot that the plane was within five hundred feet of the ground. Unable to see the runway in the rain, the first officer suggested aborting the landing and circling around for another attempt. The captain, however, was slow to respond. Before the plane could recover altitude, it hit the side of nearby Nimitz Hill, killing 228 of the 254 passengers. It's not just plane crashes.  How do… ·         People end up homeless on the street ·         End up in terrible disfunctional relationships ·         End up deeply in debt and in a terrible financial situation ·         End up slaves to alcohol, drugs or porn ·         End up in jail or prison This chapter offers insight in how we can end up in a situation we never dreamed could happen to us… 1.      The Death of John the Baptist, 14:1-12 14 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the reports about Jesus, 2 and he said to his attendants, “This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him.” 3 Now Herod had arrested John and bound him and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, 4 for John had been saying to him: “It is not lawful for you to have her.” 5 Herod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of the people, because they considered John a prophet. 6 On Herod's birthday the daughter of Herodias danced for the guests and pleased Herod so much 7 that he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked. 8 Prompted by her mother, she said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.” 9 The king was distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he ordered that her request be granted 10 and had John beheaded in the prison. 11 His head was brought in on a platter and given to the girl, who carried it to her mother. 12 John's disciples came and took his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus. ·         This is a sidebar in the narrative about Jesus.  Its importance is in closing the loop on what happened to John and also to foreshadow what would happen to Jesus.  Matthew 17:12, 12 But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.” ·         1-3  John's death is recounted in a “flashback” formula.  Herod hears about Jesus and immediately connects Jesus to John whom he had murdered.  Herod had hosted a feast, which contrasts with the feast Jesus provides in the following section.  Herod is freaking out and imagining Jesus has reappeared.  This happens today with people who have passed away, like sightings of Elvis. ·         Anatomy of a bad decision. o   Herod and Herodias are like Ahab and Jezebel part two.  Their marriage is a sham.  John the Baptist had continually told Herod that it wasn't right to marry this woman, but he did it anyway.  This kind of stubbornness led to one of the worst decisions on record, murdering John the Baptist.  John is the guy Jesus praised as the greatest prophet of all time.  I don't want to think about what happened to Herod when he faced Jesus.  But I think this points out something that commonly happens today on a smaller scale.  Now I want to talk specifically to guys today.  o   Guys are on the run.  James Dobson highlighted this about twenty years ago in his book “Bringing Up Boys” when he titled a chapter, “Men “R” Dumb.”  Society is going after guys.  They are easy targets.  Look at recent movies like Frozen, Twisters and others.  Who is the hero?  Is it the man?  No!  The man is often the bad guy or lovable loser.   Go through the bookstore and pick out a bestseller.  Chances are the hero is going to be a woman.  This is a big shift. o   Herod comes across as a fool in this story, why?  Let's take it apart: §  He commits adultery.  He marries his brothers wife while his brother is still alive. §  He messes with the wrong woman.  Herodias.  She is the boss, she's the one in charge, the one organizing the “hit.” Herod is simply a puppet in her hands. §  He's passive, he lets things happen. §  Sexuality is involved  §  Alcohol is involved §  Peer pressure is at play §  He doesn't control his words §  Pride.  He doesn't back out when he's made a mistake, he allows pride to guide him down the road of destruction.  He should have said, this is stupid, I'm being manipulated.  Instead, he does something so wrong, it's impossible to take back. §  The momentum and inertia from too many mistakes takes over.  Malcolm Gladwell talks about this in one of his books.  Most air disasters don't happen after just one mistake.  There is one mistake, then another and they slowly compile until something massive goes wrong and the plane goes down. ·         “In a typical crash, for example, the weather is poor—not terrible, necessarily, but bad enough that the pilot feels a little bit more stressed than usual. In an overwhelming number of crashes, the plane is behind schedule, so the pilots are hurrying. In 52 percent of crashes, the pilot at the time of the accident has been awake for twelve hours or more, meaning that he is tired and not thinking sharply. And 44 percent of the time, the two pilots have never flown together before, so they're not comfortable with each other. Then the errors start—and it's not just one error. The typical accident involves seven consecutive human errors. One of the pilots does something wrong that by itself is not a problem. Then one of them makes another error on top of that, which combined with the first error still does not amount to catastrophe. But then they make a third error on top of that, and then another and another and another and another, and it is the combination of all those errors that leads to disaster.” o   For men today, we can end up following the same path: §  We mess with the wrong woman.  Instead of a godly woman, we start dating those who don't follow Jesus passionately.  Women are like Kryptonite to men.  All the greats have been taken down by women:  David, Soloman, Samson.  §  We are passive.  We let the woman lead us instead of leading as God desires and designed.  Go to many churches and who do you find?  Women.  Where are the guys?  At home worshipping at St. Mattresses or St. Maddens.  We don't stand up and do what's right.  Slowly we are led to a place that we can't get out of. §  Sexuality.  Porn, impurity, temptation weakens us. §  Alcohol.  Paul says “Do not get drunk on wine which leads to debauchery.”  Alcohol leads to bad decisions.  §  Peer pressure.  Once we allow our friends or family to guide our decision making, it's nearly impossible to make changes.  §  Rash words.  We say things and make promises that are foolish.  Then we get held to those stupid words.  §  Pride is the final nail in the coffin.  Pride keeps us from making a change when we know we are way off course.  Instead of backing out, we plunge into destruction.  ·         Examples:  I was counting the cost with a young man and asked him, “What do you see as the biggest challenge facing you?  If Satan wanted to take you out spiritually, what would he do?”  The man answered, “Send a woman into my life.”  A few months later, this man started dating a woman and he abandoned his relationship with Christ.”  He knew it in advance and still fell. ·         Challenge: o   What situation are you caught in?  Do you feel trapped, closed in, boxed in with limited options.  That's a sign you may be stuck in Herod's dilemma. o   Some of us are falling right into Herod's dilemma.  We are involved with the wrong woman or man.  We are drifting away from God, passively allowing it to happen.  Sexuality and alcohol may be contributing toward it.  We've said things that were stupid and now we're afraid of making a change and looking foolish.  So we are stuck in a situation of our own making. o   If you want to be strong, you have to stand up, step back and look at your situation with fresh eyes.  Renounce the words you've spoken.  Break up with the wrong woman and turn back toward God. o   Get some help. Gladwell goes on to say, §  “These seven errors, furthermore, are rarely problems of knowledge or flying skill. It's not that the pilot has to negotiate some critical technical maneuver and fails. The kinds of errors that cause plane crashes are invariably errors of teamwork and communication. One pilot knows something important and somehow doesn't tell the other pilot. One pilot does something wrong, and the other pilot doesn't catch the error.”  The copilot told the pilot they were too low, but the pilot refused to listen. §  Herod had no one in his life.  He didn't have a copilot.  If you are a disciple and you need help you can reach out for help.  Unfortunately, when we get into bad situations, we often try to hide it and keep it from others.  We get prideful  That's where discipling can make all the difference.  One spiritual talk with another disciple can often make all the difference.  Don't be like Herod.  Don't get caught in Herod's dilemma.  Stubborn, isolated, compounding mistakes until he finally crashes and burns and commits the worst sin imaginable. 

Chapter 1:Summary of Outliers"Outliers: The Story of Success" is a non-fiction book written by Malcolm Gladwell and published in 2008. It explores the various factors that contribute to high levels of success. Gladwell argues that people often overlook the importance of external and situational factors in the lives of successful individuals, such as their cultural background, family, generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of specific upbringing.Here are a few key points from the book:1. The Matthew Effect: This concept, derived from a biblical reference, suggests that "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer." Gladwell uses this to discuss how small advantages can accumulate over time, leading to significant differences in success.2. 10,000-Hour Rule: Gladwell introduces the idea that mastery in any skill area requires roughly 10,000 hours of practice. He uses examples like The Beatles and Bill Gates to illustrate how early and extensive practice in a supportive environment leads to extraordinary achievement.3. He discusses how cultural legacies impact attitudes towards authority, perseverance, and diligence.4. Timing and Opportunity: The book also highlights how being born at the right time or being in the right place often contributes to success. For instance, several technology tycoons were born around 1955, positioning them perfectly to capitalize on the personal computing revolution.5. Practical Intelligence: Gladwell distinguishes between "practical intelligence" (knowing what to say and when to say it, and how to act in different situations) and "analytical intelligence" (measured by IQ tests). Success often depends more on practical intelligence, nurtured through social interactions within one's family and community.The book argues for a broader, more complex understanding of the phenomenon of success, emphasizing that individual talent and grit are insufficient without favorable conditions and opportunities. By delving into the background and unexpected opportunities behind the stories of successful individuals, Gladwell invites readers to consider how society can better foster talent and help more people realize their potential.Chapter 2:The Theme of Outliers"Educated" by Tara Westover, published in 2018, is a powerful memoir that recounts the author's transformative journey from growing up in a strict and abusive household in rural Idaho to earning a PhD from Cambridge University. The book touches on several key plot points, significant developments in character, and explores rich thematic ideas: Key Plot Points1. Isolated Upbringing: Tara was born into a Mormon survivalist family that was deeply suspicious of the government, healthcare, and formal education. Her father's paranoia significantly isolated her from mainstream society, and she spent her childhood working in the family's junkyard.2. Self-Education: Despite never attending school, Tara decides to educate herself, motivated by her desire to escape her oppressive environment. She studies independently for the ACT, which enables her to gain admission to Brigham Young University (BYU).3. Academic Success and Challenges: At BYU, Tara experiences both culture shock and academic challenges but eventually excels, leading to acceptance into a study program at Cambridge University. Her experiences abroad broaden her perspective immensely.4. Family Strife: Tara's success creates further tension with her family, particularly her father and one of her brothers who is abusive.
