We have a new Fantastic Four series that we are covering! Hooray. Gotta love Alex Power being part of the Future Foundation. This means that we get to look at this good series. At least I hope it is good. It has a good start. It looks good. It smells good. MMMM love the smell of paper. Since the overarching theme of this series seems to be about deconstructing, or tearing apart, let's chat about destruction and wrecking. We can focus on the Wrecking crew if we like. The Wrecking Crew is the name given to a loose group of musicians who were in LA during the 60's and 70's. They played in a lot of studio recording sessions and were instrumental in a lot of great music. Sometimes, they would grab construction tools and rob banks...allegedly. These guys were a hot commodity, trained in jazz, classical music, and underwater mammal research. This allowed them to be versatile and useful in a variety of situations. Many people would think that a degree in marine biology would not lead to rock and roll, but they have never listened to the B-52's. Recently, a movie was released staring David Bautista and Jason Momoa called The Wrecking Crew. I have not seen it, but I believe that it is a screwball comedy about two construction workers who find a kitten at one of their work sites, and the antics that occur as they introduce it to their shared apartment. Of course, the new kitten runs into all kinds of mischief with the dog that the two guys already have. Oh, the comedy and hijinks that ensue are priceless. The dog chasing the kitten, the guys chasing the dog....the comedy just writes itself! I have also learned that there are mobsters who are sometimes called a wrecking crew. I am assuming it is because they like going out to play music or watch specific movies together. I am sure it is not for anything shady. That would be wrong. That is all I know about wrecking crews. I mean, I guess there could be people that say bad things about the Mission Impossible movies, but they would just be wrecking Cruise. Maybe I should stop while I am ahead. Americans woke up on Saturday morning to news that Trump and Israel had bombed Iran, killing Ayatollah Khamenei along with top Iranian military leaders. Iran retaliated with missile and drone attacks on U.S. bases and allies in the region. Asha and Renato analyze Trump's inarticulate and circular reasons for launching the attack, what triggers the War Powers Resolution and how a president has “first-mover advantage” when it comes to taking the country to war. Then, Renato and Asha turn to the Trump administration's latest retaliatory moves at home: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's designation of Anthropic as a supply chain risk after the company refused to let its AI model be used for autonomous weapons or domestic mass surveillance, and the Justice Department's clumsy moves against four law firms that successfully challenged Trump's executive orders against them. Rafe is back from Trailer Trash Tammy's cruise and apparently spent the week testing the limits of international waters, roulette tables, and common sense. This comedy podcast episode kicks off with cruise shenanigans that include “messing with the locals” (nicely), a leather hat vendor lighting merchandise on fire to prove authenticity, and a surprise invitation to join the Blackfoot Nation — yes, seriously. From there, it spirals the way only we can spiral. There's a full breakdown of cruise jail being so packed they had to put a guy on house arrest. We try (unsuccessfully) to figure out how many people the brig actually holds, whether stand-up sets for inmates at sea are allowed, and how you even explain to your family that you got locked up on a themed cruise. Then comes the roulette meltdown. Rafe turns a complimentary $50 casino chip into $1,600 in about ten minutes, gathers a crowd chanting “LET IT RIDE,” achieves what can only be described as temporary Golden God status… and then gives it all back in one spin. It's the kind of confidence you only get when you're damp from jumping in the pool fully clothed and think you've cracked probability itself. It's also the kind of chaos that makes this comedy podcast what it is.We also get into spring break travel insanity (171 million people flying?!), Southwest Airlines losing its identity, and Meta smart glasses possibly recording your life for strangers in another hemisphere to review. Technology is amazing. Also horrifying. Mostly both. And because life likes tonal whiplash, we cover a serious and disturbing local story that reminds everyone to stay alert and look out for each other. It's real talk mixed with sarcastic humor, which is basically our brand at this point. If you like your comedy podcast with cruise fights in moomoos, casino delusion, pop culture commentary, travel tips, weird news, and a little St. Louis edge, you're in the right place.Welcome back to the chaos.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Do you have a special place where you go to get away from the frenzy of life and all the pressures you feel? Providing those kinds of places for escape has become a major industry in our world, hasn’t it? Vacation resorts; Cruise lines; ‘B&B’s’; and so many more options are all designed to help people get away and refresh. Have you noticed that even Jesus needed to do that from time to time? Yesterday, we were in Jerusalem with Jesus as He taught His disciples about the very special relationship God has designed for people who trust Jesus to be their good shepherd. (John 10) We saw that once again opposition rose up against Jesus even though He was inviting His listeners to consider He had come to give them abundant life! Our Dad and Daddy reunite after Judson's week in San Francisco for work and Brian's Disney Cruise in the Caribbean with his family, and they each provide a full report on their travels, including the hookup activity that happened for one and not the other. Judson sees “Pillion” a second time and takes his husband to see it for his first. Brian suggests that listeners read John Paul Brammer's book, “Hola Papi: How to Come Out in a Wal-Mart Parking Lot and Other Life Lessons” in advance of his appearance on the podcast in the coming weeks. The Hookup of the Week comes from a repeat submitter who again takes us to a public cruising spot in Australia. Judson raises some thoughts and concerns that have been on his mind about the way gay men treat women. The two end the episode responding to a Go Ask Your Dad question from a listener curious about how friendships with the people we hook up with work inside an open relationship. This podcast was recorded as a live video twitch stream, however, there's a lot of good conversation AND important arc information contained, especially starting at 1 hour, so we wanted to share all of the shenanigans. Enjoy! The stream opens with big “we're back on land” energy and immediately turns into a warm roll call of familiar names, cruise survivors, and chat antics. DJs and Griffin rehash the Star Trek cruise week and the post-cruise meetup, painting it as equal parts community-hug-fest and comedy show, with food, drinks, darts, merch, and a steady drip of lovingly roasted memories. A huge chunk of the early show is basically a victory lap for the community: how many people showed up, how organically Fleet Command seemed to be everywhere on the ship, and how meaningful it was seeing alliance mates traveling together like it's a family reunion with warp cores. There's also peak “DJz life” content in the form of shield-check chaperones (plural), banana-hat signatures, and the reminder that mining plus PvP habits create… opportunities… for raids. They also spend time shouting out behind-the-scenes production and community helpers, including how much one-on-one coaching and tool-sharing happened onboard (the vibe is “Fleet Command office hours… but on a ship”). It's an affectionate nod to the playerbase being the real engine room: people teaching, sharing, solving, and generally keeping the galaxy spinning even when the game tries to throw a wrench into the replicator. Then the stream shifts into “Arcfall Eve briefing” mode: the arc launches tomorrow, maintenance is coming, and the goal is to get viewers pointed in the right direction before reset. They outline how the upcoming loop is structured around rotating tasks and progression gates, with rewards tied to building upgrades and faction-style advancement. In particular, the show highlights that tasks rotate (weekly cadence implied) and that some tasks require specific building levels to even unlock. A key theme in the mid-to-late segment is the “feelings of value” conversation: why rewards may look smaller or more fragmented now, how currencies are spread across systems, and how that impacts player satisfaction even if the total value is “supposed” to be there. They frame it as an intentional design direction, but also validate the frustration and keep the focus on how to navigate the loop efficiently rather than emotionally faceplanting into it. Finally, the stream gets very tactical about the Conqueror Borg Solo Armadas component: they call out specific research nodes that are described as critical for success (including isolated defense, apex shred, and critical damage reduction versus those armadas), and they clarify how the currency path works: earn via the Maverick track, exchange in a faction store flow, and use the resulting particles to unlock the needed research. They close with rapid-fire reminders, a little merch-and-meme spice, and a clean handoff/raid into the overnight coverage pipeline leading into maintenance. 00:00 – Cold open, vibes, “show starts soon” energy and the crew rolls in 10:18 – Post-cruise glow: shoutouts, meetup love, and the chat parade begins 20:36 – Fleet Command community on the ship: how big it felt this year, and why it mattered 30:54 – Shield babysitters, banana hats, and “why not just pop a week-long shield?” 41:12 – Meet-up wrap: crowd surge, venue heat, swag, engravings, and chaos (the fun kind) 51:30 – Bar stories and “Cheaters” lore; the Friday-night detour saga 01:01:48 – Back to business: pivot from cruise stories toward Arcfall Eve “we've got leaks” mode 01:12:06 – Early Arcfall breakdown: what's coming, what to focus, what to ignore (for now) 01:22:24 – Systems/tasks overview: what rotates, what's weekly, and how the loop is expected to behave 01:32:42 – Specialty buildings + progression talk (including early “this should be reachable” math) 01:43:00 – “Feelings of value” discussion: reward spread across currencies and why it feels different 01:53:18 – More arc loop specifics: currencies, shops, and how the grind is meant to translate into upgrades 02:03:36 – The task/research pipeline starts to crystallize: what gates what, and what to prep tonight 02:13:54 – Conqueror Borg Solo Armadas: the must-have research callouts begin 02:24:12 – Currency flow explained: Maverick track → faction store exchange → research particles → nodes 02:34:30 – Practical warnings: don't faceplant into new content without the right research setup 02:44:48 – Continued “how to not waste directives” guidance and tomorrow-proofing your first-day choices 02:55:06 – Final Arcfall Eve reminders: what to watch at maintenance, what to do immediately after reset 03:05:24 – Closing stretch: meme-making, merch chatter, and “Scopely please fix this in the next 3 hours” 03:15:40 – Sign-off + raid plan: handing off to Warp Drive Five and teeing up next-day coverage
Kat is heading into DATE NUMBER TWO tonight with the SAME guy!… which means it's officially serious enough for the show to wildly overanalyze every possible outcome. Is this a love connection or just a polite sequel? The fellas break down the do's and don'ts, what NOT to say, and whether Skeeter—sorry, Kat—needs a full game plan before kickoff. Plus, the team decides it's time to officially rebrand Taco Tuesday into something fresh. Maybe they should try something that actually rhymes with Tuesday. Booze-day? Choose-day? Cruise-day? The listeners came in HOT with suggestions and now we may have accidentally created a weekly movement. And finally, we talk about San Diego Zoo Safari Park unveiling Elephant Valley—an absolutely massive new habitat giving these gentle giants the VIP treatment they deserve. Would we survive one night out there? Absolutely not. Would Fletch try? Also absolutely not. Second dates. New Tuesdays. Big elephants. It's chaos. It's love. It's Big Rich, TD, and Fletch.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
This week we’re talking about a story that came to be after unveiling of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ upcoming Skyview Regent Suite. It's a veritable mansion-at-sea with a private gym, sauna, bar and dining room that seats 12. And what's more surprising than the price? The fact that it was booked within one minute on 10 of 13 itineraries. Or perhaps that's not a surprise. Advisors tell us that there are countdowns to sales launches and wait lists for the newest crop of ultra-palatial, ultra-big, ultra-luxurious cruise ship suites. With luxury advisor Carlos Edery and cruise editor Teri West, we look at what these top suites look like and what amenities they come with. Who are the customers and what do they want in a vacation? Is there a challenge of keeping up with guest expectations? And, of course, what might come next. Buns & Ballers The Cruise Ft Thorny by Mastermind Master Studio
Andy, Stu and Ash continue their five‑part deep dive into The Netflix Problem — the streaming giant's slow, silent reshaping of how we watch TV. Last week it was Netflix vs Hollywood; this week it's Netflix vs us. From binge‑watching to background‑watching, autoplay to algorithmic hypnosis, the lads unpack how Netflix didn't just change television… it rewired our viewing habits entirely. The Short Short Film Film Review turns to the Oscar‑nominated The Girl Who Cried Pearls — a shimmering, melancholic fable that somehow manages to be both delicate and devastating. The boys try to figure out how a film this tiny can hit this hard. And finally, Cruise Watch‑Along reaches the moment Tom Cruise stops being a promising young actor and becomes Tom Cruise. His starship finally achieves lift‑off as the lads revisit Risky Business — the film that launched a thousand sunglasses and one very famous dance in a living room.

We also go around the room and all share our favorite stories from the cruise and how Eddie busted Scotty McCreery’s cover. In one of the biggest decisions of the term, the Supreme Court delivered a stinging defeat to President Trump, ruling he cannot institute tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). Asha and Renato discuss whether the Supreme Court is finally turning against Trump and if the decision signals the beginning of a check on his executive power. Plus, they analyze yet another baffling ruling by District Judge Aileen Cannon, this time barring the release of special counsel Jack Smith's report on Trump's mishandling of classified materials. This episode of your podcast opens in peak “we're literally on a starship” mode: live from the middle of the Atlantic with coffee, cookies, and a panel stacked like a Federation briefing room. You set the stage for Starfleet Academy Episode 8, “The Life of the Stars,” and the vibe is instantly different: not a pew-pew chapter, but an emotional ledger coming due. After the spoiler warning, the conversation locks onto the episode's mission statement: the aftermath matters. The panel highlights how the show finally leans into the trauma it previously seemed to brush past, and that choice pays off because the season has been “investing emotional currency” the whole way. The Doctor's opening monologue becomes the big neon sign here, with that Our Town “stage manager” energy used to narrate a sunrise and underline just how depressed he's become. Tarima's return is the other big emotional ignition. The panel unpacks how her reintegration is messy in a very believable way: she's back, but she's not okay, and the environment's responses often miss what she actually needs. You all peel apart the Caleb/Tarima dynamic as a collision of inexperience, trauma, and different ideas of comfort and “safety,” culminating in that debated moment where he leaves and she breaks down. One of the smartest craft choices, according to the panel, is Tilly using theater as a disguised counseling method. Bek's perspective really shines here: theater forces you into someone else's skin, lets you disassociate safely, and then hands you the mirror when you're ready. The episode's theme becomes clear: art isn't a detour from healing, it's the shuttlecraft that actually lands on the planet. As the discussion deepens, the spotlight swings to Sam and the Doctor, and the room goes quiet-loud. You all trace Sam's arc from “sunny anchor” to someone who's been carrying an old wound without language for it, and the Doctor's reactions land as both performance-flex (Picardo props all around) and character reckoning. The panel calls out how the Doctor feels “not quite there” in subtle beats, while Sam's journey starts to look like resilience training with emotional gravity. Finally, you wrap with the fun stuff that still has teeth: the prediction pool. Bubba Joe swings for the fences with Ake getting taken by the big bad by the end of Episode 9, setting up a rescue vibe for Episode 10, and the group gives it enough “feasible” to earn a little victory lap. Then the sign-off arrives in the most scientific way possible: cookies depleted = episode complete. 00:00 – Live from the Atlantic: coffee, cookies, cast-watch energy, and the episode title “The Life of the Stars” 05:57 – First-impressions round: character-focus praise vs “fundamental storytelling” nitpicks 11:54 – Spoiler siren goes off; framing the episode as aftermath processing 17:51 – The Doctor's opening monologue vibes (stage-manager / Our Town energy) 23:48 – Tarima's return: recovery, reintegration, and the weight of “what now?” 29:45 – Tilly's “theater class” as stealth counseling: why art is the delivery system 35:42 – Trauma theme sharpens: resilience, motivation, and doing the thing to get the spark back 41:39 – Cruise-context glow: watching with cast, talking Trek inside Trek (meta levels: maximum) 47:36 – Tarima/Caleb: emotional needs, mismatched coping styles, and bad timing collisions 53:33 – “Female perspective” deep dive: being labeled “too much” when you're actually wounded 59:30 – The hallway pivot: Caleb leaves, Tarima breaks, and the table debates “safety vs filling the gap” 1:05:27 – The Genesis question: jealousy, hopelessness, dependency parallels, and what Tarima thinks she can't be 1:11:24 – Sam's role as anchor: bright surface, deeper undercurrents, and the cost of not processing 1:17:21 – The Doctor's arc takes center chair: grief, love, and what's “missing” in him right now 1:23:18 – Cookies running low; Voyager-protective instincts and why this Doctor pain hits different 1:29:15 – The “hand-holding” moment and the time-jump conversation (17 years of emotional math) 1:35:12 – Sam + Doctor: the reveal that her earliest “belonging” wound traces back to him 1:41:09 – Picardo praise corner: performance details that sell “not quite there” 1:47:06 – Final takeaways: who “won” the episode, what threads feel primed for the endgame 1:53:03 – Prediction pool + send-off: Ake “taken,” rescue setup, cookies gone, two episodes left

Welcome to another completely stable and professionally executed daily comedy show… where one host is preparing for a cruise that may or may not include hostage negotiations, another is heading to Vegas to sit on a radio panel titled “Reports of Our Death Are Greatly Exaggerated” (which feels aggressive), and the rest of us are arguing about hockey and stuffed monkeys.Rafe is setting sail toward Mexico during what the news is lovingly describing as “a tense time,” and naturally we handle it with firearms training jokes, cartel commentary, and Norwegian Cruise Line optimism. Meanwhile, Rizz is headed to Vegas for a radio conference panel alongside a guy flying his own private plane. Rizz? Row 20 on Southwest. Celebrity row, obviously. Fremont-adjacent accommodations. Lifts packed. Confidence medium. We also spiral into Vegas buffet strategy like it's a military operation. Crab legs first. No bread. Absolutely no French toast. If you leave feeling fine, you did it wrong. That's the rule.Back in STL, Moon lived his best cultured life at Phantom of the Opera at The Fabulous Fox Theatre (tears were shed, nuts were purchased), then followed it up with a suite-level experience at a St. Louis City SC match where apparently the buffet alone deserves its own documentary. Meanwhile, Rizz is still emotionally recovering from Canada being “butthurt” about losing Olympic hockey in overtime. Scoreboard is the judge. That's how sports work.We also check in on Punch the abandoned baby monkey who went viral hugging his IKEA orangutan, debate whether AI is the future or the apocalypse, invent a game show called House of Steve, and confirm that yes, Vegas is expensive now and no, the $4.99 steak days are gone forever. This daily comedy show somehow covers cruise chaos, Olympic gold, Broadway tears, casino buffets, monkey redemption arcs, and trivia-night costume strategy in one episode. It's chaotic. It's unnecessary. It's exactly what you signed up for.If you like funny stories, pop culture commentary, sports meltdowns, entertainment gossip, and sarcastic humor from a funny morning show in St. Louis, congratulations — you've found your new favorite daily comedy show.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
