EMERGENCY! My song has died! Perrie Edwards was just 17 when she found fame on The X Factor. After auditioning for the show, she was put together with Jade, Leigh-Anne and Jesy to form Little Mix - a group that became one of the biggest girlbands in British pop history. In our conversation, Perrie reveals that one of the hardest things about being famous is having some of her most personal experiences play out in the public eye. From the very public end of her friendship with Jesy to going through a break-up, Perrie opens up about what it's really like to grieve, heal and grow while the world is watching. In this episode, Perrie shares: The reality of being on The X Factor at 17Going through a very public break-up with Zayn MalikThe emotional and physical impact of experiencing two miscarriagesThe secure, fulfilling love she's found with her husband AlexWhy she's made peace with her friendship with Jesy coming to an end Perrie is a reminder that the people we grew up watching on stage are still figuring things out and that there's real strength in being honest about that.Perrie Edwards is Great Company. You can't pour from an empty cup. And this week's guest is here to help you fill it back up — without overhauling your entire life to do it.This week Cara and Bronagh are joined by Kylie Griffiths, former fashion stylist, creative director, accidental DJ and founder of Stress Sucks — a wellness brand built specifically for people with busy lives who don't have time for a 40 minute morning meditation but desperately need something to change. Kylie's journey from styling Little Mix and touring with bands to studying medical herbalism in Cornwall is one of the most brilliantly unexpected stories we've heard on the pod. But what really resonates is the conversation around how mums consistently put themselves last, mistake worrying for caring, and feel guilty the moment they do something just for themselves — and why that needs to stop. There's also a genuinely eye opening chat about the mental load, why your thoughts are just visitors and not who you are, and the one sentence that changed how Kylie thinks about motherhood entirely. Oh, and a PVC catsuit split at a house party. Obviously. Why looking after yourself makes you a better mum — and how to stop feeling guilty about itSmall changes with big impact — practical tips for de-stressing when you have no timeThe mental load of motherhood — why we take on so much and how to start letting goWorry dumping, EFT tapping and breathwork — what they are and why they actually workKylie's brilliant career — from styling bands to DJing at Reading Festival to founding Stress SucksFind Kylie: Instagram: @kyliegriffiths and at @stress.sucks Website: www.stress-sucks.comKylie's Stress Sucks Reset Retreat — 28th–31st August 2026 Taking place at Kudhva in Cornwall, a stunning off-grid site between forest and coastline with cabins, sauna, hot tub and sea views. Our guest this week is Leigh-Anne. As one third of British girl group Little Mix, she's spent over a decade in the global spotlight, helping the group sell more than 50 million records and become one of the most successful girl groups of all time. Earlier this year, Leigh-Anne stepped out on her own path with her debut solo album My Ego Told Me To, released in February through an independent label. The record bridges the pop sound fans know her for with dancehall, reggaeton and Caribbean-inspired influences, creating a vibrant and deeply personal debut. On today's episode, we chat with Leigh-Anne while she's here in Australia about finding her sonic identity outside of Little Mix, why it was important for her songwriting to be front and centre on My Ego Told Me To, and how she's thinking about bringing this new era to stages around the world.Leigh-Anne: Instagram / Spotify / WebsiteVisit our official website here and follow us across our socials.
Welcome back to The RunThrough Podcast. Today we're joined by the incredible Chloe McNiven, a former professional dancer turned Guinness World Record holder and ultra marathon runner, as well as a mum of two.Chloe faced huge adversity growing up and was often told her dream of becoming a professional dancer wasn't realistic. She left school at 15, worked as a cleaner on a building site, saved everything she could, and eventually moved to London where she put herself through dance school while juggling three jobs. That determination paid off and she went on to spend more than a decade performing alongside global stars including Elton John, Little Mix, Liam Payne, Robbie Williams and Zara Larsson. She later discovered running and it changed everything, ultimately leading her to set a Guinness World Record with RunThrough at Goodwood Motor Circuit, where she pushed a pram around 50K. She has since taken on huge endurance challenges, including running 50K in Wales while five months pregnant. In this episode, Ben Sheppard sits down with Chloe to talk about resilience, mental strength, motherhood and pushing far beyond what you think is possible.Ben Sheppard - https://www.instagram.com/bensheppard93/Chloe McNiven - https://www.instagram.com/chloejmcniven/

Somos mulheres. Somos amigas.

It seemed very timely to be talking to the brilliant Iain James as he was a co-writer of the Christmas classic "One More Sleep" by Leona Lewis which has just been awarded the most streamed Christmas song of the 21st Century! So we talk about that as well as being part of the writing process for some absolute gems including "Shout Out To My Ex' for Little Mix , "Read All About It" by Professor Green and Emile Sande and songs with Craig David, Kylie , James Morrison ,Sugababes and more. He also gives some superb advice for new songwriters on how to get noticed and talks about his time as vocal coach for The X Factor and how his time in boyband Triple 8 helped him prepare the future stars of it including One Direction. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we did and please discover more episodes if you have time. Thanks so much for listening and a very Merry Christmas
Interview Date: July 14th, 2025Episode Summary:Eden Shabtai shares how a kid from a tiny Israeli kibbutz—obsessed with MTV and training in ballet and modern—willed her way into New York's scene and eventually L.A.'s major stages. She opens up about the unglamorous decade of artist development, underpaid gigs, and nonstop outreach that built the foundation for her “overnight” break assisting on Chris Brown's Loyal, leading to major award shows and TV. A six-month backpacking trip through India reshaped her idea of success, while the O-1 visa process taught ruthless persistence. Eden also speaks candidly about receiving an aggressive breast-cancer diagnosis while five months pregnant, undergoing chemo with cold-cap treatments, and protecting her peace by avoiding toxic workrooms.Creatively, Eden explains why she builds choreography live in the studio—feeding off dancers and music—and why energy, individuality, and attitude matter more than stacked résumés. Listeners will gain insight into using social media strategically, differences between NYC training and L.A. work volume, how to stand out in auditions (presence, styling, quick adjustments), and the mindset that sustains a career: humility, resilience, and community.Shownotes:(0:00) – Welcome and guest introduction(8:20) – Early roots: ballet, modern, MTV influence(13:53) – India trip reframes success and happiness(15:24) – Visa grind: persistence, evidence, good lawyer(18:53) – Moving to L.A.: training vs. booking realities(21:08) – Breakthrough: assisting on “Loyal”(26:44) – Favorite projects: BET 2014, Fleur East(29:31) – Cancer while pregnant: resilience and boundaries(42:05) – Creative process: energy-first choreography(51:19) – What makes dancers stand outBiography:Originally from a kibbutz in northern Israel, Eden began training in ballet and modern at age 7. With no formal hip-hop classes available at the time, she learned by watching MTV. Determined to pursue dance professionally, she left home at 16 to study at a specialized dance school. After serving in the IDF, she spent six transformative months traveling India before moving to New York City to chase her dream. In NYC, Eden trained at Broadway Dance Center and quickly became a sought-after teacher for over 150 young students while choreographing for up-and-coming artists. Realizing her long-term goals required a move west, she relocated to Los Angeles in 2010.Since then, Eden has worked across NBC, ABC, BET, FOX, CBS, VH1, CW, and MTV. Her credits include the VMAs, Grammys, Billboard Awards, Dancing with the Stars, iHeart Radio Awards, BET Awards, Soul Train Awards, X Factor, The Ellen Show, James Corden, American Idol, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and more. She has choreographed campaigns for Hasbro, Office Max, Office Depot, HEB, and Clark's.Eden has worked with artists including Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Pitbull, Ava Max, Jason Derulo, Enrique Iglesias, Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo, Lil Wayne, Marc Anthony, Flo-Rida, Brandy, Omarion, Miguel, Pia Mia, Little Mix, Sevyn Streeter, No Doubt, Snoop Dogg, Kehlani, Janelle Monáe, Fleur East, Priyanka Chopra, Machine Gun Kelly, Tinashe, WizKid, Serayah, DJ Snake, Hardwell, YungBlud, Jack & Jack, and many more.In 2017 Eden served as a Judge/Mentor on a new Israeli dance competition series, where she became the winning mentor. Today she works as a choreographer, artistic director, artist developer, and consultant—living by her belief that with hard work, mental strength, and determination, anything is possible.Connect:Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/theedengarden/Website – https://edenshabtai.com/

This month we're in the slightly more recent past as we tackle 2015 which was only 18 months before the podcast began. (although is allegedly a decade ago despite feeling like last week). There's ethereal pop, modern classical piano epics, unsettling hiphop and an interesting new conspiracy theory about the nation of Iceland. We've each chosen our 10 favourite songs of the year and sent them over to Colin's wife Helen, who put the playlists together and distributed them so we were each given a playlist of the 20 songs from the other two hosts, along with our own 10. We then ranked the playlists in order of preference and sent them back to Helen, who totalled up the points and worked out the order. She also joined us on the episode to read out the countdown, which we found out as we recorded so all reactions are genuine. Now, admittedly, in parts we're a little bit brutal to some of the songs in the list as we're three separate people with differing music tastes, but please remember that to be in this episode at all the songs have to have been in one of our top 10's of that year.Bands featured in this episode include (In alphabetical order, no spoilers here!) - Ahab, VLMV, Aurora, Julien Baker, The Chemical Brothers, Beck, Destroyer, Earl Sweatshirt, Envy, Father John Misty, Fear Factory, Ghost, Goatsnake, John Grant, Jamie XX, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kathryn Joseph, Kendrick Lamar, Lanterns On The Lake, Leprous, Little Mix, Low, Lubomry Melnyk, Pastel Ghost, Pinkshinyultrablast, Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars, Soley, Sufjan Stevens, Waxahatchee, Steven Wilson, & Wolf Alice. Find all songs in alphabetical order here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2eXXu2uUDKI5EhiuZeWlRS?si=61bb5362ccbb45d5Also, very excitingly Ian has just released his new album "Please Hesitate To Contact Me" under the name The Grief Executive. 33 minutes of ultra-eclectic office themed exasperation taking in influences from industrial metal, 90s r&b, hiphop & grindcore. You can find it on bandcamp here - https://thegriefexecutive.bandcamp.com/album/please-hesitate-to-contact-me or on Spotify here - https://open.spotify.com/album/681opO2y8aeWoKo3CVH95v?si=R3oz68GtQMCZ3XSJak8i8w. The scoring of our own list of 10 is now slightly more complicated in order to give a truer level of points to our own favourites. So rather than them only being able to score as many points as our 10th favourite in the other list, the points in our own list were distributed as follows -1st place - 20 points2nd place - 18 points3rd place – 16 points4th place – 14 points5th place – 12 points6th place – 9 points7th place – 7 points8th place – 5 points9th place – 3 points10th place -1 pointHosts - Ian Clarke, Colin Jackson-Brown & Tracey BGuest starring Helen Jackson-Brown.Playlist compiling/distributing – Helen Jackson-BrownRecorded/Edited/Mixed/Original Music by Colin Jackson-Brown for We Dig PodcastsThanks to Peter Latimer for help with the scoring system.Part of the We Dig Podcasts network along with Free With This Months Issue & Pick A Disc.Bluesky - https://bsky.app/profile/wedigmusic.bsky.socialInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/wedigmusicpcast/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/wedigpusicpcast/Find our other episodes & podcasts at www.wedigpodcasts.com

Perrie Edwards has lived many lives - from global pop stardom with Little Mix to navigating heartbreak and motherhood in the public eye. But now, she’s stepping into something new: a solo career that’s deeply personal and entirely her own. In this conversation, Perrie opens up about the pressure of going solo after years of success with one of the biggest girl groups in the world, the heartbreak behind her first solo single 'Forget About Us', and how becoming a mother shifted everything. She talks honestly about her decade-long relationship with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the quiet grief of pregnancy loss, and the challenge of carving out her own space away from the spotlight. With her debut solo album set to launch and another baby on the way, Perrie is stepping into a whole new chapter both personally and professionally. This is a conversation about what happens when you stop trying to please everyone else and finally make something just for you.
