Transcript:Ca: Barcelona bullia d'activitat aquell diumenge de tardor.En: Barcelona was buzzing with activity that autumn Sunday. En: The gentle wind moved the fallen leaves, while families strolled along the passeig del Tibidabo. En: It was the perfect day to visit CosmoCaixa, the science museum that always captivated young and old alike. En: Oriol, a calm-natured architect, walked determinedly toward the museum with Montserrat, his puzzle-loving friend, and Núria, his pragmatic and clever cousin. En: They had decided to participate in a special activity: an escape room themed around the world of science.Ca: "Ets segur que això funcionarà, Oriol?En: "Are you sure this will work, Oriol?"Ca: " va preguntar Núria, dubtosa però amb un somriure increïblement enginyós a la cara.En: asked Núria, doubtful but with an incredibly witty smile on her face. En: Oriol wanted to impress Montserrat with his problem-solving skills. En: He quickly read through the activity flyer, nodding affirmatively.Ca: "És clar, Núria!En: "Of course, Núria! En: We just have to follow the instructions," he replied confidently.Ca: Però alguna cosa no funcionava bé.En: But something wasn't going quite right.Ca: Mentre travessaven les galeries del museu, plenes d'exposicions interactives i infants emocionats, van acabar davant d'una porta discreta.En: As they walked through the museum's galleries, filled with interactive exhibits and excited children, they ended up in front of a discreet door. En: Against all common sense, Oriol insisted that this was the start of the activity.Ca: La porta es va obrir fàcilment.En: The door opened easily. En: The three of them found themselves in a small windowless room, surrounded by stacked boxes and cleaning supplies. En: Montserrat stood with arms crossed, trying to contain a laugh.Ca: "Oriol, estem a un rebost!En: "Oriol, we're in a storage room!"Ca: "Ell, decidit a no mostrar inseguretat, va dir: "Potser és part del joc.En: He, determined not to show insecurity, said, "Maybe it's part of the game.Ca: Hem de sortir-ne d'alguna manera.En: We have to find a way out."Ca: " Va prendre una escombra, pensant que seria útil per alguna pista amagada.En: He picked up a broom, thinking it might be useful for finding a hidden clue. En: Minutes passed, and the laughter and ironic comments from the girls began to increase. En: But Oriol remained stubborn, convinced they were following the plan. En: Finally, the door opened from the outside. En: A museum worker, with an incredulous smile, looked at them.Ca: "Estic segur que aquí no és on heu de jugar", va dir amb to amable però clarament divertit.En: "I'm sure this is not where you're supposed to play," he said in a friendly but clearly amused tone.Ca: En aquell moment, Oriol no va poder evitar riure amb Montserrat i Núria.En: At that moment, Oriol couldn't help but laugh with Montserrat and Núria.Ca: Les rialles van omplir l'espai estret, i la tensió va desaparèixer.En: The laughter filled the cramped space, and the tension disappeared. En: "I guess I read the instructions wrong," admitted Oriol, blushing but relieved. En: Montserrat patted him on the shoulder.Ca: "No passa res, Oriol.En: "It's okay, Oriol.Ca: Almenys hem tingut una bona aventura aquí dins.En: At least we had a good adventure in here."Ca: "Quan sortiren del museu, sense cap mena de dubte, Oriol havia après que a vegades l'encant rau en riure's d'un mateix i acceptar els errors.En: When they left the museum, without a doubt, Oriol had learned that sometimes the charm lies in laughing at oneself and accepting mistakes. En: With the autumn sun still illuminating the city, the three friends went off to enjoy the rest of the day, still laughing about their peculiar science experiment. En: Thus, Oriol understood that sometimes being imperfect makes you more relatable. En: And with that, he gained not only Montserrat's sympathy but also an unforgettable memory full of smiles. The speakers utilize these hypotheticals to illustrate their differing viewpoints, showcasing their comedic chemistry and ability to riff off one another. The implications of these discussions reveal how humor serves as a coping mechanism for navigating life's unpredictability. By engaging in playful banter about serious topics such as survival and relationship dynamics, the speakers create a relatable narrative that resonates with audiences. They reflect on the absurdities of modern life, often using humor as a lens to examine societal norms and expectations, which adds depth to their seemingly lighthearted exchanges. In conclusion, the conversation encapsulates a blend of humor, introspection, and camaraderie, illustrating how two individuals can navigate the complexities of life through laughter. Their ability to engage in thoughtful yet comedic dialogue highlights the importance of friendship and shared experiences in understanding oneself and the world. This exchange not only entertains but also invites listeners to reflect on their own life choices, relationships, and the value of humor in everyday situations.Comedy podcast, Funny podcast, Humor podcast, Stand-up comedy podcast,Comedian interviews, Comedy sketches, Improv comedy, Hilarious podcast, Laugh-out-loud podcast, Top comedy podcast, Best comedy podcast, Popular comedy podcast, Weekly comedy podcast, Comedy talk show, Comedic banter,Comical commentary, Pop culture comedy, Current events comedy, Satirical comedy,Sarcastic humor, Witty humor, Raunchy humor, Adult comedy podcast,Niche comedy podcast, Musical comedy podcast, Funny interviews, Humorous storytelling, Comedic anecdotes, Entertaining humorcan i kick it yes you can,Comedian Malik B,The Isaac Abrams Show,Niche comedy podcast,Comedy podcast,Funny podcast,Stand-up comedy podcast,Comedian interviews,Comedy sketches,Hilarious podcast,Top comedy podcast,Popular comedy podcast,Weekly comedy podcast,Comedy talk show,Comedic banter, malik bazille, malik bazille stand up,malik bazille boxing, malik bazille creed, malik bazille interview, malik bazille skits, comedian isaac Abrams

From MPR News, Art Hounds are members of the Minnesota arts community who look beyond their own work to highlight what's exciting in local art. Their recommendations are lightly edited from the audio heard in the player above. Want to be an Art Hound? Submit here.Honoring Marley Kaul's legacy in book and galleryVisual artist Paula Swenson remembers painter and former Bemidji State University professor Marley Kaul (1939–2021) as a mentor and a creative force in northern Minnesota. Swenson is excited for a new retrospective coffee table book, “Marley Kaul: Paintings,” covering six decades of his work.Book launch events include:Sept. 18, 5–8 p.m. at Open Book in MinneapolisSept. 23, 5–7 p.m. at the Watermark Arts Center in BemidjiSept. 25, 5–7 p.m. at the North Dakota Museum of Art in Grand ForksA corresponding retrospective exhibition of Kaul's work is also on view at the Talley Gallery at Bemidji State University through Oct. 30.Paula recalls one memorable moment turned painting: My husband and I were over to his house, talking to him, and just at that time, a bird of prey flew under the deck — under Marley. It was just that fast. And later on in that month, we went to visit, and Marley had done a painting of that experience, of the bird flying underneath him, under the deck and out again. — Paula SwensonA call and response: Peter Williams at MCADIndependent curator and art consultant Esther Callahan recommends “Peter Williams: Homegoing — A Call and Response,” on view at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design through Nov. 1.Esther says: The longer you look, the more you will see the depth of connections that are built into the space. For example, there are sight lines in this exhibition that have artists like Russell Hamilton directly communicating with seangarrison that beautifully builds on the narrative that is foregrounded in this exhibition by Peter Williams in memory and remembrance of his passing in 2021. This exhibit itself is rooted in honoring the complex experiences of Black Americans through historical and contemporary narratives with both a really good sense of humor and candid honesty. It's really important to note that this exhibit is supported by a chorus of 15 Minnesota-based Black artists responding to Williams profoundly human, critical and beautiful work.— Esther CallahanSongs with names take center stageAllison Amy Wedell of St. Paul is Alto 2 Section Leader of the Twin Cities Women's Choir. She's looking forward to the comedic cabaret “What's In a Name?” happening for one night only on Sept. 22 at the Hive Collaborative in St. Paul.Allison says: “What's in a Name?” is the brainchild of local actress and singer Jen Maren and local pianist and teacher, Andrew Fleser, who noticed the impressive and varied array of songs with names for titles and decided we needed to hear as many of them as they could fit into one show! I'm already familiar with Jen Maren's work, especially in her role as the murderess Marjorie Congdon in “Glensheen” at the History Theatre, but I understand that for the first time, she weaved some original stand-up comedy in among the music.Fleser's gorgeous accompaniment and quiet zingers provide the perfect foil for Maren's raucous charm.— Allison Amy WedellCorrection (Sept. 20, 2025): An earlier version of this story misstated the singer's name in the comedic cabaret section and the Art Hound's name. The story has been updated with the correct names.

After experiencing the complexity of migrating to the U.S. “the right way,” comedian Felipe Torres Medina set out to write a book that was informative but also fun. His goal: to help “remove the weight around the subject of immigration.” The writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert published "America Let Me In," which breaks down the serpentine world of visas and legal migration—with a lot of laughs along the way. “Out of respect” for the horrors and challenges of being undocumented, Torres Medina doesn’t touch on those stories in his book. It's Part TWO with the hilarious Bill Burr. And guess what... Bill Burr flies helicopters. For real. And he's telling Steve all about it - why he wanted to, how he learned, where and when he practices, and if he's ever had any close calls! He's also giving an inside look at the writer's room of his Netflix show, "F Is For Family," what it's like working with Vince Vaughan (the producer backing the show), why he relates to crying babies on planes, when he stopped working clean, and if there's really such a thing as "extra bits" in stand-up.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Bill Burr is one of the funniest comics working today, but as you'll hear straight from his mouth, his was no overnight success! He talks about how he got his start, his early days doing open mics, the good and bad gigs, and his big break. He and Steve also discuss the parallels between the pro-wrestling and comedy biz - road travel, paying your dues, and working the crowd. And Bill is a huge wrestling fan (thanks to friend, the late, great Patrice O'Neal), and has a couple of his own Hulk Hogan stories to share.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
