J. Warner Wallace returns to The Shaun Tabatt Show to share about his latest apologetics resource for kids: God's Crime Scene for Kids: Investigate Creation with a Real Detective (David C. Cook, 2017). About the Book: In this companion to Cold-Case Christianity for Kids, Jason uncovers a mystery in his grandmother's attic. He and his friends, Hannah, Daniel and Jasmine, enlist the help of Detective Jeffries at the Jr. Detective's Academy. Along the way, they develop the skills needed to investigate the mystery and the evidence of God's existence. The cadets learn logical-thinking skills as they examine the contents of a mysterious box and the vast universe. In God's Crime Scene for Kids, real-life detective J. Warner Wallace shows kids ages 8 to 12 what skills are needed to solve Jason's mystery, and at the same time looks at evidence in the universe that demonstrates God is the creator. Ultimately, kids will learn how to make their own case for God's existence. About the Author: J. J.Warner Wallace is an internationally known Christian apologist and author of several books such as Cold Case Christianity, God's Crime Scene, and his most recent work Forensic Faith. J. Warner Wallace has a unique approach to apologetics that flows from his professional background as a cold case homicide detective. In fact my listeners may recognize J. Warner Wallace from his role as a testifying detective in the movie God's Not Dead 2. In this episode Scott Lane and J Warner chop it up about how he applied his skillset from being a cold case homicide detective to investigate the historical evidence for the life of Jesus and the Christian worldview. Also, given his background in law enforcement I couldn't help but strike a dialogue with him on the issue of police misconduct and the criminal justice system. J Warner's perspective on this will likely surprise a lot of my Tru-ID family out there.... Key Points: Journey from atheist homicide detective to believer in Christ Historical evidence for Jesus and the Gospels How does apologetics fit in with evangelism Forensic Faith J Warner's take on police conduct, interaction between the Criminal Justice system and the black community, and solutions
