One of the great and important Feasts of the Christian Faith is the Feast of the Circumcision of our Lord. A great question is, "Why is our Lord's Circumcision such an important event?" All of the Feasts that center around something specific that our Lord accomplished (His conception, birth, crucifixion, Resurrection, etc.) reveal to us something that Christ our God accomplished, so very necessary for our salvation. In other words, God became man and by these wondrous acts, paved the way for us to ascend with Him to Paradise. In His Circumcision, our Lord Jesus Christ fulfills the Law, bringing an end to the Old Covenant. And, later, through His Baptism (so tied to His Circumcision), Christ our God inaugurates the New Covenant for the salvation of mankind. Our Lord is the bridge between the Old and New Covenants; He is the way to Paradise.

In this episode of The Christian Faith Podcast, we have an honest, biblical conversation about a question many Christians are asking today: should Christian women work outside the home, or should they be stay-at-home mothers? We examine what Scripture actually teaches about womanhood, marriage, motherhood, provision, and cultural influence—without submitting to modern pressure, feminism, or unbiblical tradition. Rather than reacting emotionally or politically, we seek to ground this discussion in the authority of God's Word and the wisdom of God's design. This episode is not about condemning women, but about clarity, discernment, and honoring Christ in family life, work, and calling. Whether you're married, single, a working mom, or considering staying home, this conversation aims to help Christians think biblically rather than culturally✝️ COACHING WITH DAVID! https://imdavidhammond.com✝️ COACHING WITH MALLORY! https://biblicallyfeminine.com

In this message, Pastor Paul Drader walks through Matthew 2 and shows three very different ways people respond to Jesus. Through the reactions of King Herod, the religious leaders, and the Wise Men, we see how fear, comfort, and control can keep us from moving toward Jesus, while intentional seeking leads to worship, obedience, and real life change. Each response reveals what we value and ultimately determines the direction of our lives.Send us a text

"This Martyr was the daughter of most distinguished and noble parents named Philip and Claudia. Philip, a Prefect of Rome, moved to Alexandria with his family. In Alexandria, Eugenia had the occasion to learn the Christian Faith, in particular when she encountered the Epistles of Saint Paul, the reading of which filled her with compunction and showed her clearly the vanity of the world. Secretly taking two of her servants, Protas and Hyacinth, she departed from Alexandria by night. Disguised as a man, she called herself Eugene [Eugenios -ed.] while pretending to be a eunuch, and departed with her servants and took up the monastic life in a monastery of men. Her parents mourned for her, but could not find her. After Saint Eugenia had laboured for some time in the monastic life, a certain woman named Melanthia, thinking Eugene to be a monk, conceived lust and constrained Eugenia to comply with her desire; when Eugenia refused, Melanthia slandered Eugenia to the Prefect as having done insult to her honour. Eugenia was brought before the Prefect, her own father Philip, and revealed to him both that she was innocent of the accusations, and that she was his own daughter. Through this, Philip became a Christian; he was afterwards beheaded at Alexandria. Eugenia was taken back to Rome with Protas and Hyacinth. All three of them ended their life in martyrdom in the years of Commodus, who reigned from 180 to 192." (Great Horologion)

Preaching for Christmas, Cecilia González-Andrieu offers a reflection on what it means to have Christian faith: "God is with us. God is with us always, and God dwells with us most perfectly in the ones who need us. Where are our mangers? Let us search for them because that is where Creation joins our song. To go to them, protect them, accompany them is to give our Christian faith meaning and to make our God present."Cecilia González-Andrieu is professor of Theology and Theological Aesthetics at Loyola Marymount University. Her work explores systematic theology, theological aesthetics, and political theology from the particularity of the Latinx experience. A scholar-activist Dr. González-Andrieu speaks and marches with those who thirst for the liberative power of theological thought in a number of interlaced areas of inquiry. What has become of the Christian Faith? How is it that judgement and hubris have become a defining element of a proclamation of walking with Jesus, when Jesus was about love and forgiveness? The modern church has become the Temple of Jesus's time. Too many live by Jesus by name, not Jesus by life. The letter of the law kills; the word becomes a weapon to shame rather than heal and restore. The indwelling of Christ within us builds a spirt of forgiveness and love. Love is the mightiest of swords. Seek the Way of Christ. God called him back in his mid-20s around the time he met Erica, who had a similar story.Married in 2007, they lived like most Americans do, not extravagantly but not intentionally. In 2010, also like many Americans, the financial crisis led Brian and Erica, along with their newborn son, to turn in desperation to God for financial help and guidance. He provided for them then and has continued to ever since.Brian and Erica, along with their four children (Weston, Barrett, Rowan, and Eden), have learned to faithfully apply God's principles to their lives and are passionate about helping others do the same.In his role, Brian applies learnings from his 15 years of cross-functional corporate experience to ensure the most efficient and effective use of the resources God has provided.Brian is also the author of Financial Discipleship for Families, a book published by Compass to help parents and grandparents intentionally raise faithful children. Stephanie hosts Lee Strobel, acclaimed author known for "The Case for Christ" and many other works examining the evidence for Christianity. Together they explore the true story of Christmas, the reality of miracles, and how the supernatural intersects with our everyday lives. This conversation challenges us to view Christmas with fresh eyes, to trust in God's supernatural power, and to enter the season embracing generosity, hope, and an openness to miracles—both big and small.Understanding historical and cultural context enriches our appreciation for the Christmas story and corrects misconceptions shaped by tradition and mistranslation. So, Stephanie opens by asking Lee to unpack traditional nativity scenes. Strobel explains that the common image of Mary and Joseph being turned away by a harsh innkeeper actually stems from a mistranslation. The Greek word "kataluma" is better understood as "guest room" rather than an inn. In first-century Bethlehem, homes often had a main living area with adjacent space for animals, and wealthier homes included a guest room. Mary and Joseph most likely found shelter with relatives who didn't have space in the guest room, so Jesus was born in the main family area, not in a crowded stable. Furthermore, Lee debunks the myth that Bethlehem was bustling with commercial inns; hospitality was so valued in that culture, it would be unthinkable to turn away a pregnant woman.Miracles, by definition, are acts of God that transcend natural laws; if we accept the existence of a Creator, then miracles like the virgin birth become logically possible. So, Lee addresses common skepticism about the virgin birth, referencing Dr. William Lane Craig's journey from doubt to faith. The miracle becomes scientifically plausible when recognizing that if God created the universe and set the laws of nature, creating a Y chromosome is a simple task for Him.Our celebrations are opportunities to focus on generosity and the meaning of Christ's birth rather than being distracted by debates about dates or traditions. In that way, the date of Christmas isn't biblically mandated—early Christians didn't record or celebrate birthdays. December 25th became tradition through a series of theological and historical developments, not pagan theft. Gift-giving echoes the generosity of figures like St. Nicholas, whose story shaped holiday customs such as stocking gifts.Miracles still happen and can be examined with reason and evidence. Prayer remains a powerful connection to God's supernatural work. Lee emphasizes medical documentation, credible witnesses, lack of natural explanation, and a context of prayer as strong criteria for validating miracles. Modern research, such as documented healing events in places like Mozambique and Brazil, shows that miracles often accompany breakthroughs of the gospel. The Holy Spirit continues to work beyond cultural and political barriers, using dreams, visions, and supernatural encounters to reveal Jesus. Lee's book "Seeing the Supernatural" and testimonies from the Middle East reveal how God uses dreams and visions to reach people, especially in closed countries. These experiences often have cross-verification and lead individuals into Christian community.God's promise is not a life free of suffering but a hope of ultimate healing and redemption, both now and in eternity. Stephanie and Lee close by reflecting on personal experiences with pain and loss. They discuss how suffering can lead to deeper faith, humility, and compassion, and how God redeems our pain according to Romans 8:28.THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO PARTNER WITH GOSPEL SPICE TODAY!First, PAY Gospel Spice Forward: Give a tax-deductible gift so others can experience our ministry for free, just like you! Have we grown too familiar with the wonder of Christmas? In this Advent conversation, Jason Watson is joined by theologian, author, and apologist Dr. Amy Orr-Ewing to explore why the incarnation is not only wondrous but reasonable—and why Christmas remains one of the church's greatest evangelistic opportunities. From Mary's courageous “yes” to the credibility of miracles and the cultural openness of Advent, this episode invites leaders and believers to rediscover the depth, wonder, and missional power of Christmas. Key Takeaways The Christmas story invites honest questions and skepticism rather than suppressing them The incarnation is presented in Scripture as extraordinary—but grounded in evidence and eyewitness testimony Mary's voice in Luke's Gospel reveals agency, consent, and profound theological insight Early Christians reframed—not compromised—culture to proclaim Christ as the Light of the World Advent creates unique spiritual openness marked by longing, memory, and reflection Christmas is not just a celebration—it's a strategic moment for gospel proclamation Preachers and leaders are called to recover awe, not sentimentality, in telling the Christmas story If this episode encouraged you, subscribe to the Lausanne Movement Podcast, leave a review, and share it with a pastor, leader, or friend preparing for Advent. Send us a textIn this episode of The FORGE Truth Podcast, Pete Alwinson and Jayson Quiñones continue their apologetics series by tackling some of the most common objections people raise against Christianity. They address the charge that Christians are hypocrites, explore whether God truly cares about women, discuss why Christians are often perceived as pushy, and walk through how believers should think about truth in a culture shaped by relativism. The conversation also turns to the relationship between the Bible and evolution, highlighting where faithful Christians may disagree while holding firmly to core convictions. Throughout the episode, Pete and Jayson model humility, clarity, and courage as they encourage men to seek truth with both conviction and grace.

Allie sits down with Colorado high school senior Sophia Shumaker and First Liberty attorney Keisha Russell after Sophia's Bible-verse parking spot was censored. When the school banned “religious imagery,” Sophia painted a subtle backward fish — then fought back with First Liberty's help. The district caved, changed the policy, and let her repaint it with her original design, which includes the Bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:4. Welcome to the final episode in Gospel Spice's series, "Identity in the Battle." Stephanie draws from Paul's letter to the Ephesians, with a primary focus on what it means to know and live out our identity in Christ, especially amidst spiritual warfare. This serves as a conclusion to the study on our identity in Christ and how that shapes our engagement in spiritual warfare.Ephesians: Tone & ContextStephanie emphasizes two critical ways to approach Ephesians:Mature Tone: Unlike Paul's other letters, Ephesians is deeply theological and not focused on addressing specific church problems. Instead, it equips believers for mature faith, acknowledging life's difficulties, but encouraging us by affirming that victory in Christ is already secured.Context: Paul writes from prison (likely AD 62), aware these may be his final words to the church in Ephesus. Despite his chains, he speaks with gentle affection, offering encouragement and a desire for continued connection.Four Pillars in Paul's Farewell (Ephesians 6:23–24)Paul concludes with four key blessings:Peace: A deep, abiding peace (shalom) from God.Faith: Assurance in the unseen, a call to trust God in uncertainty.Love: Love that unites the community.Grace: The foundation for all Christian living.Paul challenges us to let these words be the flavor of our own walk with Christ and to root ministry and relationships in love and grace. The Spiritual BattleEach believer has a choice—either to remain bystanders or to take up their place in the spiritual battlefield. Importantly:Jesus' love is not lessened by our reluctance, but we are invited to participate in battle for the sake of others, including addressing evils like human trafficking. The enemy (Satan) is not complacent, so we must not be either. Knowing the victory is won should lead not to laziness, but to courageous engagement. Our battle is never against people, but against evil and spiritual forces. With people, we are to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit—love, patience, kindness.Handling Conflict in the ChurchStephanie points out that disagreements among Christians are inevitable. The priority is always reconciliation, but when that's not possible, it's best to move aside while continuing to pray blessings over one another, remembering that we are all fighting the same spiritual war.Five Steps for Engaging in Spiritual WarfareBecome aware of the spiritual realm.Train up: Study scripture, pray, and fellowship.Stand firm: Hold your ground in Christ's strength.Resist the devil: Persevere with God's might, not your own.Train others: Help disciple and equip younger believers.True Identity in ChristThe reality of our identity is found in the fullness of Christ. Everything—our calling, purpose, and ability to overcome—flows from knowing who God is, what He has done, who we are in Him, and what we are called to do.We are the inheritors of a deep legacy of spiritual riches and calling. So, root your life in the peace, faith, love, and grace found in Christ, remember your true identity, and take your place in the spiritual battle with courage. As the series ends, Gospel Spice invites everyone to "taste and see that the Lord is good," step boldly into battle, and empower others to do the same.Reflection/Response:- How do Paul's final words in Ephesians inspire you to engage the spiritual battles you face today?- What does it look like for you to stand firm in your identity in ChristEnjoying these reflection questions? Financially speaking, we rely on people who understand this vision and who understand that we cannot function without a minimum budget. We run an extremely tight budget. For example, I work full time but don't draw a salary. And yet, we have expenses – for example, the equipment and technology we use, and also the wonderfully gifted staff who make it possible to deliver high quality content all around the globe, and then the necessary occasional promotional budget to make it possible to be discovered by those who seek to live a life spiced with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
