God loves you more than you know and wants to help paint the Masterpiece that is you. God is with you and helping you to paint the story of your life. You are his masterpiece. If we'd been conscious in those first moments of our life as a couple of microscopic cells, a microscopic human being, you may be sure we wouldn't have believed that someday we'd become the complex creatures that we are today. We couldn't have imagined it, and yet here we are, marvelously made, beings capable of love and friendship, of running and laughing, makers of music and poetry, builders of great buildings and tiny gardens, and oh so much more. All from a few cells smaller than a fly speck. A miracle? Yes, but not a completed one. Let God help you paint the portrait of your life. You are his Masterpiece and he loves you.
In this episode, we are reminded that we can see God in the created order!

Derek and Melissa discuss Derek's second book, Your Mess, God's Masterpiece (available at bookstores everywhere)
Today's Promise: Ephesians 2:10 You are the handiwork of God. You are not a genetic accident but a creation of the living God. God created you for His purpose and glory. God gave you the perfect mix of skills, gifts, and talents so you could be a unique minister of His love to the world. God has your days planned, and they are full of good works that bring Him glory. Like a master artisan, God is fashioning you into His perfect masterpiece. You will bring Him glory through the good works you do.
Today we begin looking at the significance that has been given to us because we are in Christ. We start by looking at how we display God's glory in how He created us, both in our form and function.
Have you ever thought of your Christian life as a masterpiece? Have you ever heard God saying to you, you are my handiwork, you were special to me? Maybe you have, maybe you haven't. Well, I hope that today you will hear God speaking this to you as I am in the New Testament book of Ephesians chapter 2, verse 10, and what I think has got to be one of the most amazing, most wonderful verses in all of the Bible. -------- Download a transcript for the March 9, 2021, Selah Episode. **This transcript was generated by artificial intelligence and may not be 100% accurate.

A house can't tell the architect or the builder how it wants to look like. So as we humans, we are just a clay in the Creator's hands. He created us to suit His perfect will, His preference not to ours. So we should do away with inferiority complexes and appreciate how God made us. Listen to Pastor Jerry Watts preach in his latest series, Our Mess God's Masterpiece. In this sermon series we are focused on the book of Micah, this week we are in chapter 2. CORRECTION from Pastor Jerry: All of us need to be corrected by the Scriptures. I mistakenly said Rehoboam and Jeroboam were brothers in this weekend’s sermon. Read more about Jeroboam here: 1 Kings 11:26 and following. It’s good to be corrected by God’s Word!
God planned our lives prior to our birth because we are his masterpiece. Hence, let us try not to misuse any opportunity that comes our way.
