The Daily Promise

Today's Promise: 1 Corinthians 15:22 Because of Adam, sin and death entered the world. But because of Jesus, we have something far greater: life.   In this episode, we look at the powerful promise of how we are made alive in Christ. Death is something none of us can avoid. We can eat right, exercise, and take care of our bodies, but eventually, we will all face death. Yet for the believer, death is not the end. It is temporary.   Because Jesus conquered the grave, those who belong to Him have the hope of resurrection. The Bible describes believers who have died as being "asleep in Christ." One day, Jesus will awaken them to eternal life in His presence.   But here's the good news: you don't have to wait until heaven to experience this life. The life of Christ is already in you. You are alive in Christ. And because He lives, you will live also.

Today's Promise: Psalm 16:11 Joy is not something we have to manufacture. It comes from being in God's presence. The closer we draw to Him, the more His joy fills our lives. Jesus was not a gloomy, pious person walking around with a frown on His face. There was joy in His life, and as His followers, joy should be a natural expression of our relationship with Him.   The Psalmist says, "In Your presence is fullness of joy." Notice he didn't simply say joy. He said the fullness of joy. That means overflowing joy. Joy that is more than enough.   Maybe your joy has been running a little low lately. If so, don't look for joy in the things this world offers. Take a few quiet moments and get alone with God. Open His Word. Talk to Him. Rest in His presence. As you draw near to Him, allow His joy to fill you and overflow into every part of your life.

Today's Promise: Hebrews 10:23 Can you trust the promises of God? Absolutely. You can trust them because they are backed by God's faithfulness. Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." Think about that for a moment. Our hope is not based on our circumstances or our ability to hold everything together. Our hope is based on the character of God. He has never failed to keep a promise, and He never will.   God has promised to forgive our sins. He has promised to be with us. He has promised eternal life to those who trust in Christ. He has promised that Jesus will return and that one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.   You can hold on to God's promises because you can trust the One who made them. What God has said, He will do.

Today's Promise: Philippians 4:11 We live in a world that is always telling us we need more. A bigger house, a newer car, more money, a better job, or something else we think will finally make us happy.   But the Apostle Paul discovered a better way to live. He said, "I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am." That is quite a statement when you consider everything Paul experienced.   True contentment isn't found in having everything you want. It comes from knowing that Christ is enough. In today's Daily Promise, we look at what it means to be content in every situation. When your life is surrendered to Christ, you don't have to chase after the next thing hoping it will satisfy you. You can rest in God's provision, trust His plan, and find your purpose and satisfaction in Him.   You can be content today because Jesus is enough.

Today's promise reminds us that we don't accomplish God's purpose through our own strength, abilities, or resources.   In Zechariah 4:6, God told Zerubbabel that the temple would not be rebuilt by human effort but "by My Spirit."
