Unfortunately, we fail to use this secret weapon God has given us. Instead, we choose to worry, fret, and be anxious about what we're are going through. Prayer is the cure for worry. If you want to overcome worry and anxiety, then pray about everything.

Today's Promise: 2 Thessalonians 3:16 More than ever, we need the peace of God. Our screens bombard us with fearful messages about one disaster after another. We aren't sure who we can trust and what we should do next. Jesus is the Lord of Peace. As the Lord of peace, He is the source of peace in our lives. As you give your life to him, the Lord of Peace will fill you with His peace. It is a supernatural peace that goes beyond your understanding.

Today's Promise: John 17:13 In the last few hours before His crucifixion, Jesus prayed for His disciples. As followers of Christ, we can claim that prayer today. Jesus prayed that God would protect those who followed Him and that they would receive the full measure of His joy. Jesus was a joyful man. He was not the pious, sorrowful person as depicted in so many films—his joyful countenance attracted individuals and crowds. Jesus' prayer for you today is that you live in the same measure of Joy that He did as He walked on this earth. Imagine living in the joy of Jesus every day.

Today's Promise: 2 Peter 1:3 God has given you everything you need for life and godly living. His supernatural power has provided everything you will ever need to live the Christian life. The God you serve is a generous God who willingly provides all you need. The Christian life isn't about struggling to perform or please God. The true Christian life is living in the blessing and power Christ has already given you. Today, you have everything you need to live and walk in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Today's Promise: 1 John 3:19-20 For many Christians, Guilt is a way of life. When they pray, they feel overwhelmed by a sense of guilt and shame. Every time a service opportunity arrives, they feel unworthy for God to use them. Once we confess and repent of a sin, God never brings it up again. God has removed our sin as far as the east is to the west. (Ps. 103:12) God desires for you to live a guilt-free life by the power of the Holy Spirit. When you sin, you repent, receive forgiveness, and move forward in your Christian life.

Today's Promise: Romans 5:3-4   If there was anyone who experienced suffering, it was the Apostle Paul. He was wrongfully accused, spent time in a Roman prison, and was even shipwrecked. Amid all these difficulties, he learned to rejoice. Paul knew that God used suffering to transform his life and faith. As a Christian, suffering and pain work for you, not against you. Suffering causes a chain reaction of spiritual growth in your life. Rejoice, knowing God is working to bring you through your most difficult situation.

Today's Promise: Ephesians 1:17 The Apostle Paul opens the book of Ephesians with a prayer for the church in Ephesus. First, Paul prays that God will give us a spirit of wisdom. Wisdom is knowing how to live in line with the will of God. Second, Paul prays that we receive revelation in the knowledge of God. You only know God through revelation. The Holy Spirit moves the Word of God from your head to your heart. The Holy Spirit teaches you, gives you wisdom, and reveals to you the Lord Jesus.

Today's Promise: Hebrews 11:6 The Christian life is a life of faith. The only way to please the Lord is to live by faith.  Faith is trusting that God will do what He has said He would do.  This verse gives us two truths on faith. First, faith begins with our belief that God exists.  Second, you must believe that God is the rewarder of those who seek Him. Without faith, you stand alone, trusting in your strength and wisdom. When you live by faith, you walk in the favor and blessing of God, in fellowship with Him, and your life is pleasing to the Lord.

Today's Promise: Isaiah 46:10 When you look around at all the problems the world is facing, it's easy to let fear fill your heart. No matter how much nations talk, war often seems inevitable. Unknown pathogens, corruption, and crime make it easy to wonder if God is really in control. Before creation began, God had a master plan for this universe. Nothing happens in your life that God hasn't approved. Just as God accomplishes His master plan in the world, He is accomplishing His master plan in you. You may not see it yet, but God is fulfilling His perfect will for you.

Today's Promise: 2 Corinthians 5:9 Some goals are so worthy they demand giving our entire life in pursuit. Pleasing the Lord is one such goal. What a simple yet worthy Goal. I will please the Lord. Forget about everyone else and what they think. No matter what the situation, what life throws at me, or what I go through, my one goal is to please God. Let's join Paul in making our one ambition, our life goal, to please the Lord in all things.

Today's Promise: Luke 11:9-10 This promise is one of those Bible verses we know but rarely practice. It's a great verse to frame and put on the wall, but a better verse to live by. Prayer is not a one-time act. We don't just say a prayer and then move on with life. Jesus tells us to ask and then keep on asking, to seek and keep on seeking, to knock and keep on knocking. No matter what you are praying about today, keep on asking, seeking, and knocking. God's answer is on the way.

Today's Promise: Romans 6:14 The good news of the Gospel is that sin no longer has control of your life. Jesus' blood has paid the penalty for sin and has broken the power of sin. Before you came to Christ, sin was your master. You were in bondage to temptation and a slave to the call of sin. When you came to Christ, everything changed. Sin is no longer your master. God's grace has set you free from the law of sin and death. Because of God's grace, sin is no longer your master.

Today's Promise: 1 Thessalonians 5:24 When He makes a promise, He keeps it. When He entered into a covenant with His people, He kept it. God is faithful to accomplish His Word in your life. God never teases you. He doesn't place a call in your life and then refuses to bring it about. No matter what God has called you to do, He will be faithful to accomplish it in your life. What is the call God has placed in your life? Are you allowing Him to do it? Are you releasing your life into the faithful hands of God?

Today's Promise: John 15:9 If there is one word that summarizes the Gospel, it's love. From the beginning, love was the central theme of Christianity. God loves you so much that He gave His Son. Jesus said, as much as God loves Him, He loves us. Now here is the twist. Jesus loves you as much as God loves Him. Jesus invites you to live in His love. To "abide" is to connect or rest. We are to rest and "make ourselves at home" in the love of Christ. As you abide in His love, His love flows through you to the world around you.

Today's Promise: Ephesians 3:20 I love this promise because it speaks to the unlimited power God has made available to you and me. The God you serve lives and dwells in complete abundance. There is no limit to his power and glory. He is the God of “more than enough.” We suffer from lack and limitation. We sometimes struggle just get by. Our God lives in overabundance. God wants you to do more than just get by. He wants you to walk in the abundance of His power in you so you can overflow to those around you.

Today's promise: Psalm 37:23-24 Falling and failure are part of life. Most of us have or will have a great fall. It may be a financial fall, it could be a relational fall, or even a moral fall. No matter what your fall looks like, it is common to all of us. For the Christian, there is never a fatal fall. You can survive, get back up, and keep going. Why? Because God has you by the hand. He is there, ready to pull you back up and get you going again.

Today's Promise: Psalm 118:29 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. - Psalm 118:29 You can be thankful today because God is good. He is good in His character, good in His ways, and good in how He deals with you. All we have and all we are come from the Lord. The Lord pours His blessings on us every day. His goodness and commitment love for us never end. We each enjoy more blessings than we ever deserve. Today, you can be thankful because no matter your situation, you are blessed by God.

Today's promise: 1 John 5:4 In the name of Jesus, you are an overcomer. You can walk in victory today through the power of Christ in you. As a Christian, you walk in victory, overcoming the world. You overcome temptation, sin, and every attack that comes against you. Your victory doesn't come from discipline, hard work, or effort. Your victory comes through faith in Christ Jesus. Every day, you face the powerful enemy of the world. I'm not talking about the physical world; there is nothing wrong with mountains, rivers, or beautiful sunsets. I'm talking about the world system or culture. The same faith that saved you is the same faith that brings victory in your daily living.

Today's Promise: 2 Corinthians 7:6 Discouragement is a part of life. All of us face times when we're tired, discouraged, or even depressed. Some people think that once you become a Christian, you should never feel discouraged or face depression. The truth is, no matter who you are, there are times when you will face discouragement. If you let Him, God will use others to encourage and strengthen you. God never forgets you in your discouragement. He works behind the scenes to bring others into your life to comfort and encourage you.

Today's Promise: Philippians 4:8 How you think affects every area of your life. You become a negative person if you allow negative thoughts to fill your mind. You become a positive person if you fill your mind with positive thoughts. This promise invites you to focus your mind on the good and positive things in life. Paul encourages us to think about the positive. Our world is filled with negative messages and media. Every day you are bombarded with negativity. You have a choice on how you set your mind. God empowers you today to be a positive influence in your family, your career, and the world around you.

Today's Promise: Psalm 9:10 When you know the Lord, you trust Him. The more you know the Lord, the more you will trust Him. God reveals Himself through His Word. The Bible gives us a clear understanding of who God is and what He is like. However, knowing God is more than just knowing facts about God. God's Word promises that we can know God personally. Because you know Him so well, you trust Him completely. You know that when you knock on God's door, He always answers and is ready to come to your aid.

Today's promise: 1 Corinthians 15:58 God calls you to be steadfast and immovable in your faith. Every day, the world and the forces of darkness test your faith. God calls you to a firm and unchanging trust and faith in Him. To be steadfast is to be firm in your faith. Immovable is a defensive term. No matter what Satan throws at you, you will not be moved from your faith in Christ. Remember, God always empowers you to accomplish what He commands. You will abound in good works for the Lord as you remain firm in your faith.

Today's Promise: James 4:6 God has a tender spot for the humble. Those who willingly submit their lives to Him find grace to face every situation. Grace is God's love in action. When you humble yourself before God, His grace flows over you and into every area of your life. The proud person thinks they don't need God. They think they can live a meaningful life without His help. If you want God's grace to flow through your life, then humble yourself before Him. God's grace follows those who are completely dependent on Christ.

Today's Promise: Psalm 37:4 At first glance, this promise seems like a heavenly credit card with no credit limit. You pick out what you want, and God has to give it to you, right? God has to provide you with everything you want. It says so right here. Before you get too carried away, there is a condition to this promise. You must delight in the Lord. If you have ever been in love, you've tasted what it is like to delight in someone. Delighting in the Lord is focusing your heart and life around Him. When you do so, He gives you the desires of your heart.

Here's Today's Promise: 1 Corinthians 15:22 Today, we are talking about the life we have in Christ. Even though Adam brought sin and death into the world, Jesus brought life and righteousness. There is no avoiding physical death. We may fight against it by eating healthy, going to the gym, and getting regular checkups, but end the end, we all face physical death. You have hope today because even though you may die physically, it's just temporary. You will wake up in the presence of Christ to spend eternity with Him.

Today's Promise: Psalm 16:11 Joy comes from the presence of God. The closer you are to His presence, the greater your joy. I believe Jesus was a joyful person. I don't believe He went around with a pious frown on His face. As a Christian, joy should be the natural expression of your life. I love that the Psalmist didn't stop with “joy.” He had to add “abundant joy.” Abundant joy is overflowing joy. Abundant joy is the joy that is more than enough. If you are low on joy, take a few moments with just you and God. Allow His joy to overflow you.

Today's Promise: Hebrews 10:23 Every promise of God is worth claiming. When God makes a promise, you can be confident He will fulfill it. The basis of our faith is God's faithfulness to keep His promises. God's faithfulness is part of His character. Because we know He is faithful, we can claim the promises He has made. As a believer, you can hold fast to His promise because you know God will fulfill it. The basis of your faith is that God will do what He has said He would do. Our hope is grounded on God's faithfulness to His promise.

Today's Promise: Philippians 4:11 The Apostle Paul mastered a word that seems so elusive in our world today. So many people live with an attitude of “just a little bit more.” They think if they can just have that new car, new house, new career, or even a new spouse, they would be happy. We live in a discontented world. True contentment is not based on your situation or circumstance. True contentment comes from the Lord. True commitment is found in understanding who you are in Christ.

Today's Promise: 2 Chronicles 16:9 Imagine the God of the universe searching the earth for people who He can support, bless, and strengthen. The only criterion is that their heart must be blameless before Him. A blameless heart doesn't mean a perfect or sinless heart. A blameless heart is one that is completely yielded and trusting in God. As a committed Christian, God is looking for ways to support you, bless you, and strengthen you. He is always on the lookout for those who will trust in Him.

Today's Promise: Romans 8:14 There are only two kinds of people in this world; those led by the Holy Spirit and those led by their own desires. As a follower of Christ, the Holy Spirit speaks to you and leads you in the way you should go. You must listen for His voice to be led by the Holy Spirit. The more you keep your spiritual ears open and obey what you hear, the more you will find the Holy Spirit speaking to you. He will lead and direct you as never before.

Today's Promise: Hebrews 6:19 There is no doubt about it; at some point, you are going to face some rough seas. There are times when you feel like you are about to sink. You feel pressured from every side and aren't sure what your next step should be. You feel like you are being pushed along by the currents of the storm. When the wind is blowing, and the waves crash over your life, you can rest assured that you have a strong anchor to keep you grounded and strong. Your sure anchor is Jesus Christ.

Today's Promise: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 God calls you to a life of thankfulness. Just a few minutes of giving thanks for the blessings God has given you can completely transform your attitude and outlook. God calls you to give thanks in everything. Giving thanks in everything is not giving thanks for everything. It's hard to be thankful for a flat tire, a negative doctor's report, or a difficult marriage. However, you can give thanks in those situations because you know God is still in control. Giving thanks is a confession that God is good and He takes care of His children.

Today's promise: Psalm 30:5 As a follower of Christ, you live in the favor of God. God's favor is His supernatural blessing and kindness toward you. The New Testament version of favor is "grace." God pours out His favor on all His children. His favor provides for your every need. Every blessing of God is evidence of His favor. You can't earn His favor; it is a gift of grace. One of the most remarkable aspects of God's favor is found right in the middle of today's verse. God's favor lasts a lifetime.

Today's Promise: Psalm 119:14 Like so many things in the Christian walk, receiving joy from obeying God doesn't seem to make sense. The Psalmist says we can rejoice over obeying God the way a person rejoices over finding an envelope of money, seeing their stocks go up, or discovering a hidden treasure. Here are four short reasons why you can rejoice in obeying the Lord. 1. Obedience produces a blessed life. 2. Obedience keeps you from harm. 3. Obedience pleases Your Father. 4. Obedience shows your love for Christ. The benefits of obedience far outweigh the cost of walking in disobedience.

Today's Promise: Ephesians 2:4-5 God is not just merciful; He is rich in mercy. Because of that abundant mercy, He has made you and me alive in Christ. Before you came to Christ, you were dead in your sin. Your sin separated you from God, and you were spiritually dead. Christ forgave your sins but also made you alive in Him. By the power of the Holy Spirit, the life of God is flowing through you. Eternal life is simply living out the life of Christ in you.

Today's Promise: Isaiah 62:5 How does God see you? How do you see yourself before God? This promise gives us a great insight into how God sees us. God sees you the same way a groom sees his new bride. As part of His church, you are the bride of Christ. You are the focus of His attention. He waits in anticipation for you to be with Him throughout all eternity. You need never live in fear, shame, or feel insignificant. The God of the universe is overjoyed with you. You are his bride, and He is your groom.

Today's Promise: Romans 10:17 If you want to grow in your faith, you must spend time in God's Word. No other practice will help you grow in your faith, like reading and studying the Bible. Your faith grows as you spend time in the Word of God. Finally, don't just read the Bible. As you read, ask God to open your heart and let it speak to you. Find ways to apply what you read to your daily life. Let the Holy Spirit move God's Word from your head to your heart.

Today's Promise: Romans 5:1 Peace. It's a hard thing to come by these days. From political uncertainty to the rise of depression and anxiety, it seems our entire world is suffering from a lack of peace. Sin keeps us from experiencing peace and puts us at odds with God. There is no peace with God as long as there is sin. Through faith in Christ, you can face every day knowing you have peace with God. If you are struggling today, remember you have peace with God through faith in Christ and the promise of peace in every area of your life.

Many Christians are reluctant to approach God in prayer. They feel unworthy to lift their voice and may even think, "Surely God has more important things to do than listen to my prayers." They don't realize that God actually delights in their prayer. Did you know that God loves it when you spend time with Him in prayer? When you pray, God listens. He not only listens, but he is delighted to hear your prayers.  God delights in hearing from you today. He wants you to come before Him, bringing your needs, prayers, and concerns. 

Today's Promise: James 5:16 Prayer is a powerful weapon. When you pray, you connect with God and release the power of heaven into any situation. Through prayer, people have been saved, healed, and transformed. You may be thinking that only special and mature Christians can pray effectively. You don't have to have a special anointing or be a preacher to pray with power. When you pray, things happen. God gets involved in the situation and begins working in it. Prayer releases heavenly forces to battle against the work of Satan in a situation.
