Ask, Seek and Knock - Audio

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 21, 2021 39:33

Sunday, November 21, 2021 – The title of today’s message is “Ask, Seek & Knock”. Do you ever wonder if God hears and answers all your prayers? This can be a very delicate situation in how this is approached. First, no man can speak for God, all we can do is read His Word and take that as truth. God’s Word gives us an assurance that God does hear all prayers and His answers come according to His Will. What does that mean? God is wanting our “relationship with Him” to be such that He can share His will with us, and that we will see it, and agree with it, even if we don’t always understand it. That sounds a little confusing maybe, but it keeps God as sovereign yet loving and always in control, even in the hard times of our life. Hope that makes sense…. Listen in, enjoy worship and the word as we share it together.

Sunday, November 14, 2021 – Today we are speaking about a very difficult and complicated topic. The title of the message is “Judging and Being Judged”. We live in a world of judgment and if we’re honest, we will admit that we judge every day. Our text in Matthew 7 is one of the most misunderstood and misapplied passages and is known by many and used to cover hidden sins by defensively saying “Who gives you the right to Judge? But is that what Jesus was saying when He says that we’re not to judge? That’s the question that we’re going to attempt to answer today. There is a right way and wrong way to judge. Understanding the process and understanding our motives to judge is very important. Also, we need to know how we are to accept and invite judgment in our own lives. First things first, we need to judge ourselves against the Word of God before anything else. There’s so much more. Please take the time to worship with us and then to listen to the teaching of the Word of God. Be blessed…

Sunday, November 7, 2021 – Pastor Ryp Hankins is teaching this morning on the “The Great I AM” of the bible when God consistently comes through for his children. There are times in life when it seems that we’re on our own, God has abandoned us, and we feel that He just isn’t going to show up for us. Maybe we feel we must do things on our own, our way. Yet the promises of God’s Word are for us no matter what. We are to patiently wait on Him and diligently continue to seek Him. When we do, He never fails to declare His goodness and provision in our lives as the “Great I Am”. At times, it may seem God is late in meeting our needs, but His timing is always perfect and His provision is always abundant…

Sunday, Oct 31, 2021 - The message today is about the 2nd Identity statement Jesus makes to His followers following the Beatitudes. The 1st Identity Jesus gives us is "Salt" which we spoke about last week. The 2nd is "Light" of which we are speaking today. In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus says, "You are the Light of the World". Sounds simple enough, but as we dig into what He is really saying, we will see this is very profound. Light's main purpose is to uncover what's hidden in the darkness. Think about that for a minute, sometimes what's hidden in the darkness is potentially going to hurt us, and other times it's something that we're trying to hide and keep from being exposed. There's so much to talk about and such little time. Listen in and worship with us. It was also a surprise pastor appreciation presentation of which I kept a little in here. I appreciate being appreciated and want to thank all those in our church that shared their love with Chris and me. Be blessed...

Sunday, October 17, 2021 – Today we are finishing our study on the Beatitudes. This has been a wonderful series on getting to know the heart and mind of Jesus as he shared on that grassy slope so many years ago. Our text is Matthew 5:10-12. The final promise is given to those that are persecuted because of righteousness for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Said another way, Blessed are those that are persecuted for “doing the right things”. Look around and it’s obvious that the world doesn’t love and appreciate those that are living righteously. One would like to think otherwise. However, it proves that the world is fallen and is in open rebellion against God. Persecution is the way the world fights back against those that are meek, merciful, peaceful, and so on. Jesus said it, if the world hates you, it's because they hated Him first. But there’s more here than meets the eye. We in America may never be persecuted as some are in this world. But that doesn’t mean the enemy will leave us alone. The opposite of persecution may be a life of monotony. This may lead to depression and the dangers therein. Listen in to understand more how the enemy may be choosing to attack. The promise is given that to those that endure to the end, there will be great reward in heaven… What a promise and what a hope…

Sunday, June 6, 2021 – The title for today’s message could either be: “Learning from History” or “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish”. Either one fits as we continue our study on Jude. We are now getting into the meat of the Word of God as Jude begins to describe the way God feels about false teachers and prophets and the judgment that awaits them. But there are some positive things we can learn from the mistakes of the past. If we learn from them we will avoid the same negative and punishing consequences they experience. One of the biggest deceptions of the enemy comes thru the temptation to live by our “FEELINGS” and not by the truth of God’s Word that often challenges our feelings. It’s only as we read and study God’s Word can we have godly counsel and wisdom to learn that our feelings will lead us to death and destruction as they lead others before us that gave in to their fleshly feelings. Study along with us today, and ask the Holy Spirit to be your guide into the truths of God’s Word…. Be blessed as you do…

Sunday, May 30, 2021 – Memorial Day weekend. We want to thank all of our servicemen and women that have served and for those that have given their ultimate sacrifice – their life so that we can enjoy freedom. We honor you today! The title of today’s message as we continue in our study of the Book of Jude is: “The Dangers of Subtracting From the Gospel”. Jude is aware of and is warning the church that ungodly people are secretly slipping their way into the church and doing great harm by twisting and distorting the Words of God into a message that says erroneously that once a person is saved and has a relationship with God, they can live any kind of life they chose, even if it’s immoral. This is in direct contrast to what the word really says. Therefore, we can understand how God becomes righteously angry with these false teachers because they are leading many into a lifestyle of death and they’re using God’s word to do so. Listen in and see how this is still being done today in a magnified fashion. This us cause to examine our own hearts. Be blessed as you do…

Sunday, May 16, 2021 – We are continuing our study of the book of Jude and the title of the message today is: “The Dangers of Adding to the Gospel”. Jude is setting up the rest of his letter by stating very clearly that God’s Word must be protected from the false messages of the enemies influence of false teachers and false prophets that we’re secretly slipping in among the believers. Think of it, if the enemy was trying to deceive people by twisting the freeing message of the gospel, then, how much more is he today? Recognize that truth brings freedom and anything less than that is bondage…. Worship with us and be blessed…. Permission granted from John Bevere Ministries to show “The Cliff” video. In this very relevant message, Pastor Ryp instructs us to leave the past in the past for good reason. What God forgives, He forgets, and He would have us learn and then forget as well. so that the enemy doesn’t pull us back in the pit that we were trapped in. He makes a very interesting point, God is not in our past, but the devil, the accuser of the brethren is. For us to be set free from his evil influence we need to stay away from where he’s at., so stay out of his territory. God is in our present and in our future so keep your eyes focused on Christ and stop looking back. Be blessed as you listen in...

Sunday, April 25, 2021. We are in our 3rd week of the study on Jude and we are titling this message "Contending for the Faith". Contending for something isn't in God's original plan for mankind, have you ever thought about that? When God created everything 6000+ years ago, He reviewed everything and He said that it was very good. Very Good by God's standard is "perfection". Perfection means that God and everything He created was at PEACE, meaning there was no contention and thus contending wasn't in the vocabulary. Then sin came and all PEACE was broken, and thus contention enters the scene and that's where we are today. So today, Jude says we are to "contend for the faith" - meaning we are to stand up for it and against everything that is against it. This is a great message that needs to be shared and understood, so I pray that the Holy Spirit brings it alive as you worship with us. Be Blessed...

Sunday, April 18, 2021 - Jude - "Peace in Abundance". We are in our second week of this study and still introducing the letter of Jude. To begin, let me make this statement, “Peace in the middle of the storm is possible only if one has a relationship with, HE who is greater than the storm”. This will become evident as we move thru the message today. We are living in a world that is upside down and peace is nowhere to be found. Yet, people the world over are searching for peace. Jude is saying that "Mercy, Peace, and Love can be yours in abundance". Are you interested in what he's talking about and where they may all be found? The answer is obviously not found in the world, even though it may claim to offer them. We will find out in this message that all three are only available thru a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Are you still interested? I hope so.... Be Blessed as you worship with us...
