En el presente episodio continuamos con la exposición de interesantes documentales que puedan contribuir a una mayor toma de conciencia respecto a cómo funciona realmente nuestro mundo, denunciando cuestiones que a fin de cuentas nos atañen a todos, sin otro ánimo que precisamente contribuir a dicha toma de conciencia y poder divulgar valiosa información que el propio oyente pueda contrastar por sí mismo desde un pensamiento crítico. Para ello continuaremos con la segunda parte del documental Zeitgeist, compartido en el anterior episodio y bajo el título Zeitgeist – Addendum igualmente producido y dirigido por Peter Joseph y publicado en el año 2008. Según el propio director respecto a esta segunda parte el documental “intenta identificar las causas radicales de la actual corrupción social dominante, a la vez que ofrece una solución”. Además de ello propone medidas concretas para debilitar el sistema monetario y acciones para una transformación social, las cuales incluyen boicot a los bancos que conforman el Sistema de Reserva Federal y a los principales medios de comunicación, que solo representan la realidad que les interesa a las corporaciones o lo que es lo mismo, que tan solo sirven a los propios intereses de sus amos. Dicha segunda parte del documental fue estrenado en la quinta edición del Festival de películas de activismo artístico en Los Ángeles, California, el 2 de octubre del año 2008 y publicado en internet el 4 de octubre del mismo año. El documental está dividido en cuatro partes diferenciadas. La primera parte expone la práctica bancaria de reserva fraccionada y la creación de dinero a través de créditos. La segunda parte es una entrevista a John Perkins durante la que describe su propio rol como sicario económico para los Estados Unidos, señalando haber trabajado para la CIA, así como para otras entidades corporativas y políticas para desestabilizar o corromper gobiernos extranjeros que se oponían a los intereses de EE.UU. y sus corporaciones multinacionales. La tercera parte describe el denominado como Proyecto Venus, que comenzó alrededor del año 1975 de la mano de Jacques Fresco, ingeniero social y diseñador industrial, y Roxanne Meadows en Florida, Estados Unidos. Dicho Proyecto Venus persigue la total eliminación del actual sistema monetario mundial, a favor de lo que Fresco llama la economía basada en recursos. El documental da a conocer este proyecto como parte de una Economía basada en recursos, ejemplo de sostenibilidad para la humanidad utilizando la tecnología actual. La cuarta y última parte plantea la ignorancia colectiva de dos de los entendimientos más básicos que los seres humanos pueden tener de la realidad, los aspectos emergentes y simbióticos de la ley natural. El documental ganó diversos premios, entre ellos el “Artivist Spirit Award” a la mejor película. Respecto a su autor Peter Joseph, nacido en Carolina del Norte, el 4 de febrero de 1979, es productor, director de cine, músico, escritor, conferenciante, activista social y fundador del movimiento Zeitgeist. Escribió, dirigió, produjo y compuso la banda sonora de dichos documentales, que decidió lanzar gratuitamente a través de internet para asegurar la difusión mundial de su contenido. A través del anterior y presente episodio igualmente la intención de este programa es contribuir a dicho espíritu y poder contribuir a una libre y gratuita divulgación de un conocimiento que pueda contribuir a un bien común, sin ánimo alguno de lucro. Según el propio Peter, el documental nació como un proyecto personal y se mostró como una expresión libre de conciencia pública. La expresión Addendum vendría a implicar “apéndice” o “añadido”, es decir, la continuación del primer documental con nueva información.
