We're '90s kids at heart, which means we love many of director Kevin Smith's films. Now that he's released the apparent capper to his Clerks series, Clerks III, podcaster and filmmaker Les Weiler joins us to discuss whether Smith's latest is a return to form or just another middling fans-only outing like Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. Les Weiler, creator of "The Unstuck Creative" and a dynamic and prolific multimedia artist, grew up in Paris, Texas, dreaming of becoming a Disney animator. He loved to draw and paint as a youth, even majoring in painting at University of Texas. During his graphic design career over 14 years, his passions led him into the studio from time to time, producing work for video games, websites, and making logos, while helping friends with their comic books and screenplays-- "anything but art that might reveal a real me." He eventually left a salaried job and tried freelancing, yet still finding an urge to express himself artistically-- and from the heart-- he then decided to get serious about the expression he feels most passionate about: writing. For the last three years he's found balance by splitting his time across his tech support job, his podcasts, his volunteer work, and his screenwriting. "Though I still have a lot of mountain to climb, I'm excited to have my life, and this feels like just the start."
