Lovett is currently asleep under a big pile of coats on the guest bed, but we here at Lovett or Leave It have prepared you a sumptuous feast of favorite segments, hand-selected by all the non-Lovett members of the LOLI universe. Join producers Brian Semel and Kendra James, associate producer Malcolm Whitfield, head writer Halle Kiefer, managing video producer Narineh Melkonian, and producer/editor Zuri Irvin as they share moments from this year's Pride Show, our tour in Pennsylvania, and more. Don't worry, we'll carry Lovett to the car and make sure he's home in time for next week's show. Have a great Thanksgiving, everybody! For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here. On this episode we are joined by a great friend of the show Malcolm Whitfield. Malcolm is now owner of the Whitfield Entertainment Group compound which is the second biggest studio compound in America. Malcolm has worked with Tyfontaine EP'ing his latest project and executive producing tv shows as well. We speak on: His Decision To Retire Dj'ing Running The Studio Compound How He Feels About HipHop Today The Elvis Movie Walt & Gas Station Pills? ''The rocky trail seemed endless as it separated the towering redwood trees. Malcolm Whitfield and his two kids, Jayden and Alisha, enjoyed their adventurous hiking trip together...'' Story originally titled ‘Doll-X' by SkyBruceLee23. Narration & Music by Dr. Creepen van Pasta. Other music used is credited to the wonderful Tanner Stokes (end credits).
Malcolm Whitfield (he/him) stops by to make me laugh and share how he's adapting his life as a comedian and writer and how he has found an unexpected release in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Malcolm's ability to differentiate satirical headlines from real ones is put to the test in the show's first-ever game segment (!!!) and we make a hard pivot to wrap up with a conversation about restorative justice. Malcolm Whitfield is a Rochester born and raised stand up comedian. In only the last 5 years, he has performed with a variety of great comedians, Like Mateo Lane, Aasif Mandvi, Chris Kattan, Samantha Ruddy, and many more. He is also a writer for The Hard Times, a satirical news site, focusing on music and pop culture. As we near the New Year and Almost Tuesday’s 100th episode, our host Woody Battaglia, is visited by past hosts, guests, and musicians to set him straight… even if he doesn’t need to be. Is he all that he says he is? Can he fill the would-be-shoes of the Tyrannosaurus Rex he compares himself to? Will there be more ghosties to come? Or will he learn to be a giver? Through a series of guest appearances from Heather and Ross of Sound of Tomorrow on WAYO Radio 104.3, music from Dallas Greene and GoodNightNoise, and the Chronicles of Nonsense with Chris Thompson we get closer to determining Woody’s future for him. The fate of Almost Tuesday depends on him! Stay tuned to see if we make it to the new year or if Woody really makes that solo album.. Our show is being produced by Kara Maillie, Irene Kannyo, Malcolm Whitfield, and Nicole Oliver. Our production assistants are Corey Raymer and Zazie Weldgen. More music by Dallas Green and GoodNightNose are found easily through Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/goodnightnoise/ The songs “Minimum Wage” and “Space Suit” are played on Almost Tuesday with permission by They Might Be Giants. To hear the music we remove for the podcast version of our show click this: https://www.mixcloud.com/AlmostTuesday
