However, our prayers may not be heard due to our personal disposition, our lack of faith, love, and humility. Whenever Christ performed a miracle, He demanded faith as a prerequisite. On one occasion the apostles could not heal a possessed body; to their queries, Jesus said, "Because of your little faith; for amen I say to you, if you have faith like a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain: Remove from here, and it will remove. And nothing will be impossible to you" (Mt 17:19). Our lack of faith and love are certainly huge obstacles. In this episode Tony leads Friends Brian, Eric and Jim Scott on our adventures in Pamplona Spain, specifically talking about The San Fermin Festival, aka “Running with the Bulls”. Except for Brian, the rest of the friends on the episode have been to Pamplona multiple times and run with bulls’ numerous times. We start off with a history of The San Fermin Festival. It was two festivals dating back to the 12th century, and the town combined the two together somewhere in the 15th century because the weather was better in July. One festival celebrated the Patron Saint Fermin and the other was the celebration of the herders bringing their livestock to market. The festival is always July 6-14, with bull runs everyday starting on the 7th. The San Fermin Festival is like no other festival in the world. Everyone is clad in all white outfits with red trimmings, and it becomes a sea of white and red as over 2 million people roam the streets of Pamplona during this 8 -day period. This is a bucket list item for many people, and some do it and never need to comeback, others, like us, do it, meet a lot of people, and now try to make it an annual or at least bi-annual thing. Accommodations range from campgrounds, to hostels, some hotels (hotel capacity can only cover 1-2 % of the festival goers) and renting of apartments. AirBnb, Heart of Pamplona apartments to name a few. We have stayed at a hostel, several apartments and a hotel once. Depending on your needs staying in the old quarter, where the main events of the festival take place is convenient but can be loud at all hours of the night. Quiet sleep time usually is from around 11 am- 4 or 5 pm. The festival itself is the main day trip here, from the daily bull runs, to celebratory drinks and meals afterwards, meeting up with friends and a great nightly fireworks display, Pamplona has a lot to offer during the festival. But a Day trip north to the beautiful coastal town of San Sebastian is a very nice respite from the party. San Sebastian has great food and beaches and can be a destination all on its own with several Michelin rated restaurants in its limits. Back in Pamplona there are lots of great restaurants and bar hangouts a few of our favorites are Bar Txoco, Bar Windsor, Café Iruna and an Italian restaurant called Latigellatia. Oscar will be part of The Great Bull Run first location in Virginia Motorsports Park on August 24th, 2013!  He will grab life by the horns and experience the rush of a lifetime as he sprints down a quarter-mile track with twenty-four 1,000-pound bulls hot on your heels. At each venue, Twenty-four bulls will be released in three waves of eight, roughly 20 seconds apart, and will sprint down the track in about three minutes.  Because bulls run much faster than humans, participants won't be running alongside them for more than a few seconds (unless you're an Olympic sprinter).  Instead, the bulls will run through the crowd on their way to the finish.  This means runners need to constantly be looking behind them to make sure they move out of the bulls way when they come through. After each run, attendants have the choice to participate in an insanely fun tomato food fight, Tomato Royale, then celebrate all day long in a massive festival featuring live music, great food, cold beer, games and attractions! The Poet and Reggae star, Benjamin Zephaniah, wrote an article in The Guardian saying anyone who attended the San Fermin Festival of the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona in Northern Spain would have blood on their hands. Yesterday, dozens were injured following a horrific pile-up at the infamous Spanish bull running festival. One Irish victim is suffering from traumatic asphyxia caused by crushing. Runners taking part in the San Fermin festival in Pamplona were trampled on in a massive crush as the animals they were fleeing from tried to climb over them from behind. A Spanish man was said be "very gravely ill" with serious internal injuries after his chest was crushed. UK MPs have revealed it will take 37 YEARS to clear a new backlog of half a million immigration cases. The Home Affairs Select Committee said it is “staggering” that 502,462 applications are still outstanding. The devastating verdict comes in an inquiry into the failed UK Border Agency, which has now been scrapped and broken up. The scandal plunges border bosses back to the dark days of the 1990s when a secret backlog of 460,500 asylum cases built up. The number of foreign offenders living in the UK awaiting deportation also rose last year to 4,102 THE heartbroken parents of a trainee doctor who died at a notorious seaside resort have blamed their son’s death on Britain’s binge-drinking culture. Tim and Jeane Doy told an inquest 26-year-old Oliver would still be alive if bar staff had refused to serve him more booze. Most of the reaction to the story seems to show that the readers feel it was his own fault and being a trainee doctor he should have known better. Finally, to lighten the podcast a milkman in the UK has been banned from whistling on his rounds and a lollipop man has been banned from giving 'high fives' to the children as he helps them cross the road outside their primary school......
